“I was at this restaurant to celebrate my birthday after a day hiking in the Mourne Mountains. The food was delicious and the service was amazing. For starters we had the Carlingford crab claws with tiger prawns and goats cheese pannacotta (pics attached). As mains we had the 10oz fillet steak with parmesan and truffle fries (no pics). It was a lot of food in the end, and we had trouble finishing it, and had no room for dessert. We will definitely come back when in Newry or this area. Highly recommend!”

“If you're in close proximity, I'd definitely suggest stopping here. The river next to the restaurant enhances the atmosphere. I also like the contrast between the brick and rusty looking iron that really brings that steampunky vibe. The only problem I have is that the music doesn't fit the theme too well, but that's not too bad . The waiters are kind and the service is great! And then to the most important part:"the food" I really enjoyed the dishes here. I took the Korean fried chicken burger, which was absolutely amazing, but the taste can be a bit overwhelming (in a good way), so if you're a bit sensitive to flavour, I'd suggest to take the gnocchi wich was also extremely good. And the cajun chicken salade was also really, really good. So all in all this place is amazing and I truly recommend it!!”

“Excellent food and excellent service. We had the large portion of brisket (absolutely delicious and our favorite), the small portion of ribs (good but not great (I thought the sauce was just okay. Though in all fairness my friend liked these second best.), the small portion of duck (delicious. My second favorite) , and the sweet potato fries. We finished off the meal with a Sticky Toffee Pudding with caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream (WOW !!!). The server said they recommend two small items per person. We had one large, two small and a side. It was actually too much. I would recommend three smalls or one large and one small for two people. I would highly recommend eating at Art Bar Funkel.”

“Our local saturday night favourite Chinese where i think I've sampled nearly everything off the menu at this stage. My husband is a plain eater so he is a sliced chicken supper man but he wouldn't rate one anywere else which we have had to resort to when they were closed. My fave dish is honey chilli chicken. “Oh my god what a mouthwatering burger!!! We got the chefs burger meal and it was so tasty with a massive onion ring and pulled pork on the juicy beef burger. The chunky chips in the sauce was just delish too. Enjoyed every last bite. We will definitely be back to try more on the menu”

“This is right now the best place for a takeaway in Warrenpoint It is really good value the food is superb and they have things other places don't think of it bother to make. Like pepper sauce and garlic bread smoothies. And their fries are delicious! Yes I said it! French Fries! If you don't believe me about value for money I challenge you go in and see for yourself!”

“Not only is the owner a really good guy, the pizzas were absolutely DELICIOUS! I'd almost drive the hour from home for another one!! Great ingredients, well cooked, perfect!!”

“We ordered through delivery app on a Monday night. All our food ordered was correct. It was delivered promptly and on time. We ordered Szechuan beef and garlic chilli chicken, these mains came with either plain noodles, chips or rice for a small extra charge, we had noodles and chips. We also ordered a beef chow mein because we are greedy and like leftovers. Not a single fault with any of our food, both dishes were flavoursome and tasted different to each other, the Szechuan beef was slightly (and I mean only slightly) sweet and smokey with only a mild peppery heat, the chicken was spicer and sharper in flavour with usual savory notes. None of the sauces were thickened excessively with corn flour, so often Chinese takeaway melds into a flavourless goop. Not this food! The chow mein was delicious and savoury, again done correctly and fried, not the excessive gravy sort that is not chow mein but sold as chow mein. This was done well. Everything was fresh tasting and all the meals generous in portion and the meat tender. The chips were delicious and the old fashioned sort you want from the Chinese, handcut, greasy and different sizes. Some crispy, some a bit soggy - perfection. Only complaint if you can count it as one- we prefer the medium sized egg noodles, not the thin/skinny but that is just how some restaurants do it. We didn't mind, it was all delicious. We took a gamble on the place as hardly any presence online and the reviews poor, but glad we did. Not sure why they are not reviewed more positively.”
