“Had breakfast at Bill’s and it was fantastic! I had the shakshuka, honestly the best I’ve ever had. Really warming, perfectly spiced, and so full of flavour. The flatbread on the side was amazing too. My husband ordered a side of hash browns, and the portion was huge! Lovely people serving us as well, such a friendly atmosphere and a great start to our day. Highly recommend!”

“PIZZA PLUS TILL I DIE. Don't believe the bad reviews you read here. They are, in the words of Donald Trump, FAKE NEWS. I have been using these guys for about three years for pizzas now, and won't go anywhere else. Far better than Dominoes, and about half the price. The pizzas always taste brilliant and are cooked just right. Lots of toppings, lots of cheese, lots of flavor. These guys are the real deal. The staff always seem grateful for your custom, as well. I may actually make Pizza Plus my religion.”

“Delicious, yummy, fresh smash burgers. Bacon nice and crispy and a good "bite" - good mouthful of burger as you bite in. Heard through word of mouth and glad we took a chance on our Friday night tea here. :) Owner very friendly and happy to explain menu to us. Definitely will go again!”

“I have visited here with different people over the last couple of weeks. The first time, my friend and I ordered the Super grain salad. It doesn't say anywhere in the ingredients there's anything hot or spicy in it, but neither of us could eat it! We asked if they could check with the chef and he said there's a coating on the grains that isn't mentioned. They apologized and changed our meals for another one with no fuss.”

“So I was passing through Rushden and wanted a full English breakfast. Well I am so glad I stumbled across this place. Robert and Kirstie run a wonderful cafe. They also do a fish Tuesday special. Great service, fantastic food and very fairly priced. Highly recommended. It is up Hamblin Court off the High Street. Give it a try!”

“We have a new favourite! Last night was our first meal from here because our long-standing regular is closed on a Monday, and I'm so glad we took a chance. So many Chinese takeaways are bland, or monotone in the flavours, but not here. My house special curry was bursting with flavour and a welcome, but not overpowering, spicy kick. My wife said her beef chow mein, shredded beef and sweet and sour chicken were incredibly tasty, again with a welcome variety of flavour, and a lovely sour edge to the sweet and sour, rather than just sickly sweet. Added to that, the portions were very generous (I got two helpings from mine, which is unusual), and it wasn't just bulked out - there was plenty of meat. The final unexpected bonus was not only free prawn crackers, but also free spring rolls - again, more than what we usually get. Overall we were both blown away, and both agreed that we will be using Welcome Precious as our new regular from now on. Well done!”

The service by Callum, Amanda and another young lady was spot on, nothing was too much trouble. All in all, great venue, delicious food and great service, I’m proud to call you my local!!”

“I had severeal meals, fish and chips, and everytime I ate here I felt I was served fresh, fried fish. So the Fish and Chips kept a good standard in my view. The employees was friendly and proffesional. Short preparation time. I waited maximum 7 minutes.”

“Visiting the area with family, it was a REALLY busy Sunday!! Our waitress Bernie was really efficient and made us feel very welcome. Ordering and service was smooth and seamless, atmosphere in restaurant was nice, its light and nicely decorated with plenty of space between tables, even when super busy we could still hear each other when talking. Food: we ordered Pizzas and Cannelloni with a side salad. Everything came nicely cooked and well presented, I love when you get food exactly as described on the menu. I definitely recommend Pixxa Express if you are shopping at Rushden Lake. Prices are on the higher side but is matched with quality.”

“Basic room, but clean and sufficient to lay your head. Linda and staff made us feel like locals! Very welcoming and super customer service, room wasn’t ready so she gave us a discount voluntarily!which was so lovely , busy pub full of well behaved young people having fun…… but by midnight not a sound . We are hoping to stay agsin for the famous beer festival later this year, Kate and Brian Thomson 23/5/23”

“We eat here quite often because it fits our family budget. Tonight, Sunday 17th August, we met at 6pm and both food and service were extra special. The service from Eleanor was brilliant and it was a pleasure to watch her serving everyone very efficiently and with a cheerful smile. We didn’t get the chef’s name but thanked him personally as everyone’s food was really well prepared. Thank you.”

“After moving to Rushden in the summer, finding a good Chinese takeaway was a must. We found Dragon City on the second attempt and the food is excellent. It is always delivered quickly and piping hot when it arrives. I am not a fan of sweet and sour chicken as a rule, but their way of dicing it into cubes, before deep frying and stirring through the sweet and sour is fantastic. The black bean sauce is rich, although I would like some more flavour of black bean, and the Chow Mein is delicious. I've tried around 7 or 8 takeaways around Wellingborough and Rushden and this is, in my opinion, pretty good.”

“Went recently for Afternoon Tea, staff were welcoming and friendly. The Afternoon Tea itself offered a nice selection of sandwiches, scones and cakes. Thoroughly enjoyable experience and thought good value for money. Would definitely recommend a visit.”
