“This is such a great shoe shop for children of all ages. The fitting service is better than any other shop I know, and this is based on my experience with my son and now my granddaughter 34 years on! They take time to check how the child walks without shoes first then find a perfect fitting shoe. I would be happy to travel to this shop if we lived a distance away, although we have now moved nearer and pass it every day! There is plenty of parking outside. I would highly recommend this shop. Ladies, you are doing a fantastic job.”

“What an amazing experience. Second time as mother of the groom, shopping at different locations, this one definitely superior. Got full outfit, dress, hat, shoes and handbag. Nothing was too difficult, my lady, whose name I didn’t get went over and above, in my opinion but probably standard for this venue. Said, she loves her job and you can tell! To top it off, I received 15% discount for buying the full package, so essentially, my shoes were free! Would highly recommend this friendly, superior venue for all mothers of the bride and groom.”

The shoes are stunning comfortable and a real conversation starter, I can’t begin to tell you the number of compliments I have received over the years when wearing them. The stores look like nothing else and always feels so decadent to enter one, like a naughty treat. “As I am not an expert on Air gun, I went to the shop to roam around. A young man (Sales person) approached me very politely and asked me, whether he can help me out. I told him, I may not buy anything but wish to see the air rifles. The way he advised me & the helpful manner, I made a purchased a brand new Brocock Ghost air rifle. I would strongly recommend anyone who need advise & the right choice to approach these people.”

“I visited Flair while searching for the perfect prom dress for my daughter. Although we didn't find "the one" on our first visit, the experience was still great. After trying another shop, we didn't feel comfortable there, so we returned to Flair. Unfortunately, they couldn’t source the exact dress we were looking for, but they were incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to find another shop that had it. The service was friendly and professional, and I really appreciated their efforts. I will definitely be coming back with my second daughter when the time comes! “Me and my partner purchased 1 pair of shoes and 1 pair of boots recently, both pairs were seconds. We were shown why the shoes were seconds and there were no pushy sales tactics, which is rare nowadays! We were allowed to shop in our own time, but there was someone there to help if needed. We visited the shop on a Saturday afternoon. The tall, young Asian gentleman (I am so sorry that I forgot his name) was very helpful and polite. He really knew his stuff when it came to sizes and styles etc. We were so grateful of his help. We both usually struggle to find shoes that fit due to having wide feet- no issues at all with Cheaneys! The shop has recently been refurbished and looks good. The photos on the wall of the staff who actually make the shoes was a very nice touch. I think we forget just how skilled they must be.”

“Went into store 27/8/25 with our granddaughter who had broken her ankle 12 months earlier, since then she had not worn proper shoes due to her anxiety about her ankle. We had been to many shoe shops throughout Banbury and MK with no success in getting Isla in a pair of shoes. We went in Charles Clinkards and straight away were greeted with shop staff that so clearly wanted to help with the problem we had. Isla was seen by Madelaine no 6553, she talked and explained things to Isla who is only 9 years old. She came out with loads of different pairs of shoe/boots explaining how certain pairs would help support her ankle. Madelaine was so caring and supportive not worrying how much of her time we were taking up. Eventually she got Isla into a pair of boots, she was so excited she wore them straight away. You must be so pleased to have such a caring and helpful assistant working for you. Madelaine certainly gets 10 out of 10 from us, and we will make sure Clinkards is our first port of call next time Isla needs new shoes. “Purchased on line after hours and collected the poncho from the Leighton Buzzard shop the following morning. This disruptive patterned and animal outlined patterned poncho is fun and practical to wear in warm but drizzly weather. Pockets in your clothes underneath are accessible owing to handy press studded openings down the side. There’s the handy front pocket which turns into the perfect poncho storage bag with a loop handle. Post purchase my first rain shower gave me a great gleeful excuse to wear my poncho, hood up too; I had to pop to the Leighton Buzzard shop to show it off. I just had to buy two squiggly rings in two hues of blue too, someone positively comments on them every time I wear one.”

“I have been buying my activewear from Serena at Step 'n' Pump for just over a year now. Apart from absolutely loving Serena's selections, my first impression was 'wow' just fabulous customer service, and that service continues to be absolutely amazing. I initially used to buy Black or Navy Leggings and crop top sets, which are fantastic quality, and then I found Combat Dollies and introduced colour into my workouts! I cannot recommend Serena highly enough, for the BEST activewear ever, and by far the BEST Customer service you will ever experience!”
