“Excellent visit, very impressed with memorial of the soldiers. The fort was a pleasure to walk around, very well put together! Be better in summer when all parts open. 100% recommend the fort!”
“We had a fantastic stay at this property! It was clean, spacious, and felt just like home from the moment we arrived. The house was very well equipped with everything we needed, from kitchen essentials to towels and beach gear. One of the highlights was the lovely swimming pool – perfect for relaxing after a day out. The location couldn’t have been better: just a short walk to the beach and very close to the high street, where we found great restaurants, shops, and cafes. Customer service was also excellent – friendly, responsive, and efficient throughout our stay. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient getaway with friends. Hope to return soon!”
“Amazing place for little one to release some energy and explore. We came here last weekend and couldn’t fault it. Not too busy as we came when it first opened. Staff were also amazing, even when our little girl spilt drink everywhere. Highly recommend this place and we will be coming back again soon”
“Been a member for nearly 40 years . Great staff , good tables . Prices are competitive. My late father was a member from the late 50's onwards as well”
“Really nice place, with a lot to play.”
“Lovely small theatre venue. Very helpful staff too.”
“My first time at this pub. Great service, especially from the older guy with the beard. Very knowledgeable. The food was lovely too. We wanted something small-ish, so we ordered the Steak frites for lunch, which was £11, and we all really enjoyed it. The cheese sauce was particularly good. Nice atmosphere.”
“Beautiful views , tunnels are fun, it's basically on my doorstep.”
“Great views across the Solent to the Isle of Wight and also of Portsmouth and the surrounding countryside. Quick lift brings you up to the different viewing platforms - of which there are three. Walk across the transparent floor if you dare - don’t forget to take your shots off - not for the faint hearted or those with vertigo! Very much enjoyed the visit. Cafe/bar is expensive due to the view. There are loads of places in Gunwharf Quay to eat and drink so wait until you leave the tower.”
“Took a very mixed group of folks after hours. We hired out the arena and did two games. Everyone went crazy. It was so much fun. The staff were super friendly and helpful. I can only recommend that to anyone who is looking for something fun to do with a larger group.”
“Went to this year’s firework display 2024, first time going. Wanted to say thank you for a spectacular display it was amazing and I had a great evening. Great atmosphere and food as well!”
“I love this venue, been to a decent number of comedy shows here and they've always been good fun. It's a small and intimate venue, I'd guess it's less than 80 capacity so there's not a bad seat in the house. Drinks are cheap and there's a decent selection of local beers which includes Bowman Ales.”
“We have joined Waypoint church recently. Everyone had made us feel so welcomed. Even with masks still on people have been really lovely. The sermons/ talks are so good ... Always something that resonates. Something to grow in. The worship is so wonderful. Really sense the presence of God. Through it all.... thankful to them all.”
“Step right up ladies and gentlemen and behold a mecca of fun for the under 10's in 2p paradise. Wet and windy days don't matter here. Chippy next door for supplies.”
“An excellent venue for a party! We had my grandson's birthday party there yesterday - the hall is large and accommodated 3 large bouncy castles! The hall was clean and secure, the price was good and the staff were welcoming and helpful.”
“Fantastic service from Alfie, who was able to hunt down the salted caramel sauce for me last thing on a Sunday! Giving him the product code, he found it out the back and saved my Sunday night dessert! Thanks Alfie :)”
“Amazing venue, great staff and the rates for hiring the venue are really reasonable. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to host a special event or a regular meeting locally.”
“Gosport park is a great place for young children as well as adults it has a well equipped adventure park for the children and it has several sport pitches for rugby and football pending on what season it is.”
“Attended an all day Beginners course. Great tuition and support from Richard. A fun, helpful and confidence building day. Great facilities, lots of options and not so busy you have to wait to climb any wall. Very child friendly and a lovely cafe overlooking the beach. Visited again this weekend. Good value for money.”
“Love the Home-Start Family Hubs on Fridays lunchtime, free to come and no need to pre book, definitely check it out!”
“The best atmosphere in football. Thought we'd treat ourselves to the padded seats. Great day out, great game and lovely staff.”
“Me and the kids love this park. Not only is the park the best in Portsmouth in terms of the fixtures within it, but it has a wide open area for sports, a BMX track and a great area to spend as a family in our community.”
“Lovely venue, draft beer. Friendly staff.”
“I love this venue it’s one of my favourites to perform. My comedy Magic and disco shows in. There are lots of different rooms. All of them are great lots of space. There’s also lots of free parking outside and the staff are always so friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.”
“Our daughter goes here to Whiteley Pre-School, by far the best pre school experience we have had and highly recommend!”
“Very clean and very quiet when I visited plenty to play on and quite shut off from the road, also has a decent size field with it.”
“Great park. Really good zipline and even a wheelchair swing (swing temporarily closed due to wasp nest - August 2018)”
“This is our local cinema. The staff are extremely attentive. Tickets & snacks are always reasonably well priced. Customer service is always excellent & the cinema's are always absolutely spotless. Staff are attentive & helpful at all times.”
“My mum goes to "Monday club" here weekly. The volunteers are wonderful, and despite my mums sometimes reluctance to leave the house, she always comes back with a full tummy a raffle prize and a big smile. The venue in the church hall has a well kitted kitchen is clean and maintains a good temperature. A great example of what is good about releigon... the community support.”
“In 2021 I approached Leila at Springwood Community Centre nervously with my business idea. I was exploring the local need for a creative group to support wellbeing. Yet I was still in recovery from my own mental health illness. I still am. Leila made me feel heard, supported and understood. She was one of the people who gave me the confidence to move forward with my idea. That idea is now an established community business. We support 10s of people every week across the local area. We have a team of 9 volunteers, many who live nearby Springwood CC. Our group at Springwood is a huge success supporting many people every week. I’m writing this review as this weekend I was reminded of the kindness of the Staff at the centre. I was hosting an event for local families, I made a mistake which meant 5 minutes before opening we had to move 10 tables and all of the accompanying chairs into another hall. Brook, one of the caretakers at the centre, jumped straight in to help. Without his support the event would not have been ready for the arriving children and I probably would’ve sat on the floor and cried. Brook, like all the members of staff at the centre, is always willing to help without complaint. He always welcomes people with a smile and is willing to listen and support members of the community. The staff at this centre are what community is all about. Thank you for your continued support of me and everyone who attends the centre.”
