βLovely friendly helpful staff serving delicious food. Clean nicely decorated restaurant, seating available inside and out with umbrellas available in the heat. Not much of a wait for food.β
βHad a wonderful experience at Kurdistan Restaurant earlier 29th July , Portsmouth! The food was authentic and full of flavorβespecially the kebabs and fresh naan. The portion sizes were generous, and the hospitality was warm and welcoming. A great spot for anyone who enjoys Middle Eastern cuisine. Will definitely visit again!β
βBeen here so many times, usually on a weekday when it's quiet in the evenings. Service is always quick during these times. Food is absolutely delicious, pbbj burger probably the best burger I've ever had anywhere. 5ββ
βVery good costumer service. Immediate attention and advice. Help with carrying to the car. Pleasant and polite. Really professional. Well done guys.β
βOrdered for the first time tonight and was blown away from freshness to presentation. Exactly what youβd love if you are craving Italian! 100% order again!β
βFood always consistently excellent. Good variety and choices for veggies. Marco and Amanda who run it get to know their customers well. Would highly recommend.β
βReally enjoy this restaurant bin here a few times but I thought as time for me to keep it a review , the staff super friendly , the food perfect actually feels like you are in thailand which is the service that you expectβ
βAbsolutely delicious! My partner bought me here after having a great experience with his dad and it was even better than I could have imagined. Fresh flavourful food served by joyful friendly staff who made our evening wonderful. The watermelon lemonade was also fantastic. We can't wait to go back and try the churros next time!β
βThis is the most special hidden gem we have ever found! Nestled away from the city centre of Portsmouth is the most authentic Turkish food you will eat, Mehmet's kitchen really ticks every box. Not only was the food incredible, Nikki and Mehmet were the most welcoming hosts and you could tell they just loved serving their wonderful food and bringing smiles to people's faces. It's worth noting that they do not serve alcohol so everyone can really enjoy their food to it's full extent - we tried some of the mocktails and they were delicious! We wished we could try everything on the menu but we walked out so full we could've burst! We tried both the mixed hot and cold meze platters both of which were outstanding and so fresh, particularly their traditional Lavash bread which was so light and airy and went perfectly to dip into the cold meze. The highlight from the hot meze was the signature Turkish lahmacun (the original pizza) which was a thinly baked pastry with a minced lamb mixture on, a must try! For main course we had a mixture of meat dishes with sides of rice and salad, including chicken shish, lamb chops and the special recommendation of sarma kuzu beyti (a marinated lamb wrapped in lavash bread in tomato sauce and butter). Every single thing was marinated to perfection, nothing was dry and it was the most flavoursome food we've ever had! As if that wasn't enough we then sampled the two traditional desserts baklava and rice pudding (served cold) and we were honestly blown away. All of us said they were the best desserts we'd tasted, the baklava had the perfect mix of nuttiness and sweetness from the syrup and the rice pudding, wow, just so creamy and moreish. We washed this down with some complimentary Turkish tea to help us digest the vast amounts of food. *The only small drawback of this place is it is on street parking only, even though it is free parking, it can be tricky to find a space... But totally worth it in my eyes. We left with full bellies and happy faces and will 100% be back, thank you team, keep up the amazing work! β¨ MIXED COLD MEZE: Humus, Ali Nazik, Cacik, Kisir, Mixed Olives MIXED HOT MEZE Lahmacun, Hellim, Sucuk & Sigara Borek TAVUK SIS (Chicken Shish) SARMA KUZU BEYTI(Marinated minced lamb, seasoned in garlic and chargrilled, wrapped in a lavash bread and topped with tomato sauce, then drizzled with butter) KUZU PIRZOLA (LAMB CHOPS) BAKLAVA Rich and sweet homemade dessert made with layers of filo pastry filled with pistachio nuts, sweetened with syrup and served with whipped cream or ice cream. βI have been to this nice bistro with my wife. We took the mussels and fish and chips: plentiful and delicious! We also ordered ice cream at the end of the meal and fortunately they had the dairy-free option. The service was impeccable: everyone was very kind and helpful. In the end we even exchanged a chat about our origins (we are Italian...). Highly recommended!β
βThis restaurant is so good that we promptly cancelled plans for the following week and booked again. The food is simply beyond expectations, the service is wonderful and the bill was much lower than expected. Look out for the Duck with Cherries and the Lemon Curd Eton Mess. We will be making the trip down from London just to eat here.β
βLovely little cosy place, we went on a cold day so decided to avoid sitting in the garden. The food was superb, quice is a must if you enjoy that kind of thing and the cake was very fresh, fluffy and light. Good selection of pastries and good service, music is mellow and not too loud. Most of the noise is the talking of others or the coffee machines.β
βMy only slight criticism is that the place could do with a little redecorating but I imagine after the last couple of years that expenditure isn't a high priority. I can get over that as the food was fantastic. For the quality of food, prices were very reasonable. Would highly recommend the pork main and the peach dessert. We had such a great evening of eating with some lovely wine. We will definitely be back!β
βWent with friends for my 50th birthday celebration. Amazing food, lovely people, great atmosphere and a chorus of happy birthday with a candle in my cheesecake. Weβll definitely be going back.β
βWe love Bar Aroma; just knowing weβll be there lifts our spirits, whether itβs for our morning coffee or a breakfast of excellent proportions and flavour. Everything is delicious with an Italian flair: the coffee, the quality of the desserts, the seasoning of the food, and you can even find Italian products if thatβs your thing. What we enjoy most is the good energy from the staffβthey make us feel welcome and at home. Theyβre the kind of team that motivates you to come back; they remember your name, what you like and what you donβt. Itβs clear they do everything with love and passion, and thatβs always appreciated when receiving good service. Theyβre pet-friendly, organise activities with local artists, and you can also book them for important events like Christmas dinner. There are lovely details all around the place, and there are extra services that are much appreciated, like a place to hang your coat and self-service water. The atmosphere is visually pleasing, with photos and touches of Italy. They sell alcohol too :) after all, itβs a bar, hehe. Weβre so happy to have places like this in Portsmouth.β
βWe went for Sunday lunch, two couples in Nov 25. It was fantastic. Food , service and venue all superb. Chef came out to greet us also. I can highly recommend.β
βFood is absolutely stunning... Flavorful, fresh and a great twist on classic flavours eg the brocamole... Fantastic! Food and drink service was quick even though the chef had 6 orders all at once from different tables. Nice clean and modern restaurant. Our only issue was the music, some sort of solom pop... It's a mexican inspired restaurant! something more uplifting/carnival style or even some mariachi guitar would make this place perfect. Will definitely be returning, we have made it our mission to try the whole menu!β
β10/10 pizza, service was amazing, attentive and polite. Food was delicious, ingredients and pizza tasted super fresh and cooked to order. Couldnβt recommend enough. Atmosphere was calm and pleasant environment to eat in. Our server Holly was so sweet, we will be back! Thank you xxx Photo is a 12β all the meats and it was deliciousβ
βFabulous little gem. Delicious, fresh, and authentic pizza experience. Napoli is my personal favourite, and don't overlook the amazing starters such as Olive Ascolane. It's an excellent midweek choice on Albert Road.β
βExcellent shop, excellent staff too, really helpful and friendly. We Love visiting and having a look at the unusual items they have. Dog friendly always a hit for me.β
βWe recently enjoyed dinner at La Campania, a charming Italian restaurant nestled on High Street in the picturesque town of Arundel. From the moment we stepped inside, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a cozy ambiance that made us feel right at home. The interior is tastefully decorated, giving it an authentic Italian feel, perfect for a relaxed evening out. The service was outstandingβfriendly, attentive, and efficient without being overbearing. It was great to see that the restaurant caters to a variety of dietary preferences, including a selection of vegan dishes. As for the food, it did not disappoint. Every dish we ordered was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. The ingredients tasted fresh, and the flavors were well-balanced, showcasing the best of Italian cuisine. From the appetizers to the main course, each bite was a delightful experience. Overall, La Campania provided us with a memorable dining experience, and itβs certainly a place weβd recommend, especially for anyone looking for great service and quality food with vegan-friendly choices.β
βGot a deal for GDK at freshers fayre and my expectations were exceeded! The staff were absolutely lovely and the mixed rice bowl and Berlin donut bites were amazing and really filling (but not too much)β
βReally enjoyable first visit to Katie's. This place was packed from opening on a Sunday morning so I would recommend trying to book! The menu is music themed which was a nice touch and quite different from anything else I've been to in the Portsmouth area. The food is good quality, it's not a greasy spoon by any means! Everything comes in good portions and tastes great.β
βA friend recommended this Vietnamese spotβfriendly staff and the short rib pho was amazing! The short rib was juicy and tender. Highly recommend.β
βI recommend their roast pork rice or roast pork with lemon. The beef soup is delicious and generous in portion. The soup is very Fresh, high quality. I ordered a Vietnamese coffee, but it was very sweet, maybe because of the wrong amount of condensed milk. I added hot water and it was normal.β
βHad a lovely afternoon tea on Wednesday as it was my friend & mines birthday. The staff are very friendly and great service. Will definitely be visiting again. Well done Flinstones.β
βI just love the food here and I do recommend to all food lovers. Just truly amazing β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈβ
βJuly 2025. We ate in off the cuff on a quiet windy Tuesday night and just can't fault Bangkok Lounge..Food was fantastic, service was better. Free parking after 6pm about 15metres away. The end.... Been here 25yrs nearly now and it is only my personal opinion but as other restaurants and pubs mainly focus on money laundering, supermarket food passed off as theirs or 1,, yes just 1,, egg on toast for Β£15!!. (It's a venue, not a pub the staff said as the dog hairs folded themselves into my Β£15 gold plated egg,, sorry Cold plated waffle.) Bangkok Lounge stands out a quality mile..Fantastic fresh food. Xx Bognor.β
βA really nice, friendly Mediterranean restaurant offering really good food and excellent service. I called in here en route to Southampton for my daughter's birthday primarily because of the good reviews here on Google. I can honestly say that the reviews are accurate. The whitebait, calamari and prawns we perfectly cooked and my steak was as expertly cooked as any I've ever had outside of London. The service was excellent and our host, Bethany, made us and most importantly my daughter feel very welcome on her birthday. We'll certainly return if we're ever in the area again!β
βSo pleased we found this place. Best Thai food weβve had in ages. Freshly prepared - you can see the food being cooked. Generous portions. Green curry was really creamy and with a good amount of heat. My favourite was the sea bass and mango salad - beautiful crisp battered sea bass with fresh mango in a hot dressing - awesome. Would go out of our way to eat here again. 10/10β
