Food was delicious, after a previous review, i opted for the crispy chilli beef (delish) & my base options of mushroom chow mean & large spring roll (100%).. fancied to try something new to my usual & asked the very plesent staff for a recommendation & so had the chicken schilian style.... amazing. .. will definitely have it again. Also delivery prompt & friendly.. definitely my go to Chinese takeaway!”

But I don’t know if the chef has changed or what’s happened but their chole bhature has completely changed and tastes nothing like it used to. It tastes so bland now and without spices and the onions are also just plain. It used to be so tasty before so makes me sad that I’m no longer going to be ordering”

“What a pub… Whenever we go in, the staff are friendly and accommodating. Since the refurb it’s so welcoming and inviting with a great selection of beers on tap (that always helps) The food is great fresh pub food, roasts are cracking and priced at just £15, can’t complain! Dessi and the whole Wheatsheaf Team are a credit to the local community. We’re so lucky to have such a great pub at the end of our roads!”

“Best pizza that I have had in a long, long time. I had a Hot Bite which had great flavour as well as the heat and their special garlic bread with cheese is out of this world. They also had a gluten free option which kept my wife happy and seemed to have plenty of meal deal options. Cheers guys. Will definitely be back”

The swimming pool and spa was great, and the historic setting of the hotel added a special charm to the whole experience. Breakfast was a real highlight—flavorful and satisfying, with top-notch service. However, the restaurant food was a letdown. While the staff remained friendly and attentive, the meals were tasteless and overpriced. This is definitely an area that could use some improvement. Overall, I had a fantastic stay and would recommend the hotel for its atmosphere, history, and hospitality. Just hope they upgrade the food at the restaurant soon!”

“We are locals and potters had always seemed a bit dated . But now it has been refurbished completely different! Nice interior and the steak is fantastic cooked exactly how we wanted. Lovely deserts as well, recommend the poached pears. Not too busy which is nice and good friendly service. Recommend.”

“Used for the first time the other night. Ordered a range of chicken, beef, and prawn. Food was delivered quickly and was hot throughout when arrived. Quality of food was good with plenty of taste. Will use again.”

“We placed an order online, it was ready at the specified time. On arriving home we got a phone call saying they had omitted a sauce from the order and they delivered it within minutes. The food was excellent and very generous proportions. A very good decision to try Wing Lee and will be doing so again.”
