“We had our 2024 wedding reception at the barn at The Olde Bell and it was a wonderful experience. Leah was very helpful in helping us figure out the timings, how to structure the day and the usual order of events since we were a bit clueless. On the day, Vincent was magnificent, so calm and collected, professional but warm. All the staff we had on our day was great, the food was fantastic (multiple guests said they really enjoyed it) and we had a great time. We also used the recommended suppliers for flowers and music and were very happy with both! As a clueless couple whose main requirement was for things to be nice and for everyone to have a good time (I know, not much to work with!), we received a great service and were very happy with how things turned out.”
“Charlotte at Reception was very friendly and welcoming. I lost my wallet and she was very helpful in finding it for me, she certainly went above and beyond. Cannot fault the service.”
“I had an amazing experience at this hotel! The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The atmosphere was superb—warm, relaxed, and full of character. The swimming pool and spa was great, and the historic setting of the hotel added a special charm to the whole experience. Breakfast was a real highlight—flavorful and satisfying, with top-notch service. However, the restaurant food was a letdown. While the staff remained friendly and attentive, the meals were tasteless and overpriced. This is definitely an area that could use some improvement. Overall, I had a fantastic stay and would recommend the hotel for its atmosphere, history, and hospitality. Just hope they upgrade the food at the restaurant soon!”
“The hotel was absolutely lovely. As a wheelchair user, I get anxious about going to new places but this hotel is 100% disabled friendly. Although I didn't have a disabled room, the room I had was very spacious and I was still able to use my wheelchair in it easily. It was very clean, the food was delicious (although slightly expensive), and all the staff are very friendly and helpful. I would 100% recommend this place for a lovely little retreat, the spa facilities were really nice and also wheelchair friendly!”
“Good location. Next door to Beefeater for food. Booked by company, so walk in pick up card, enter reg number of van into system to avoid parking charge. Nice room with TV, clean comfortable bed. Acceptable bathroom, hairdryer etc. Good kip. Morning coffee, drop card in box. Sorted.”
“My wife had an operation scheduled at Basingstoke Hospital on 15th Jan - was a major op re cancer diagnosis and went on for 5 hours. We stayed at the hospital for 2 weeks in total. While she was in surgery, i went for a walk in the countryside to take my mind off events - after an hour or so of walking, i ended up at the Swan (i had looked it up before starting walk!). I was warmly welcomed by the staff there, who were really helpful as well as accommodating ( they helped me with where to find a local village shop and post office) While there, i noticed a promotion on the website regarding AllTrails where you used their app for a local walk and ended up at the pub for a free breakfast. So, on the Friday morning, i completed another long walk, helped by All trails, and arrived at the Swan for 9am. I had a lovely breakfast, eggs Benedict, presented beautifully and really tasty - and although tempting, resisted having a pint with it… 9am just too early! I came back the following week for a sandwich at lunchtime - again, lovely food, well presented and tasty! Thank you to the Swan - i would thoroughly recommend to anyone wanting a warm welcome, great food and a well deserved drink - whether you’ve had a long walk in the country or just driven there. Will definitely be back.”
“I love this coffee shop! It's better than any large chain, mass-produced, churn 'em out purveyor. Coffee is delicious, well made, strong; food is fabulous, generous and no skimping on ingredients. Staff are friendly, helpful and plentiful (although it is sometimes difficult to tell staff from regular punter, cos they don't wear uniforms - but I like that!). Overall, the very best place to stop for coffee on the Bracknell shopping circuit. COVID has made everything difficult for everyone, but Coffee Barker are trying hard and in my view, succeeding to make every visit pleasant and enjoyable.”

“The 2-for-1 cocktails were very good and the 4 starters for £22 were good, I ordered the garlic prawns and they were fresh. The Chicken Souvlaki was tasty.”

“Damn, they know how to make perfect kebabs. Thanks a lot Ali’z Team!”
“A great addition to the village pub. No idea why someone felt appropriate to leave a 1 star review to a new start up of a young business that obviously works very hard and produces great food... probably a jealous competitor as not any other Twyford food establishments come close to this but I’ve eaten twice since the launch and couldn’t fault it. Yes it’s pub food but it’s priced as such and it’s extremely good and you can’t get anywhere near it locally. Very good and most homemade. The burgers are sublime and the kids menu did my two proud. A great addition to Twyford. Well done The Duke and well done Flavour Town Foods!”
“Parveen's food is freshly made, authentic and delicious. It's ready on time and she will happily vary the heat (spice) level according to what you request. We love it and we keep coming back!”

“Nicest sushi everrrr, I get the veggie crunch roll (I know it has no sushi in it lol) but it’s so delicious. Shame it’s expensive and never more than 2 of them otherwise I’d buy hundreds of them lol.”
“Great food for the price, authentic Japanese Katsu, would recommend.”
“The staff created a welcoming and relaxing environment.”
“Food Like Mother's Home!!! Not a 10”
“Great food, the pizzas are fantastic and super lucky it's only 2 minute walk in the village.”
“Having been lucky enough to attend several of Louise’s supper club evenings it’s obvious that her skills as a chef and host go above and beyond. From the moment you arrive in her beautiful, welcoming house, the perfect tone is set for the evening and you know you’re in for a wonderful event. The table is set immaculately, with fresh flowers and tasteful crockery, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere. The food is consistently, absolutely delicious. Each course thoughtfully prepared, using local suppliers, bursting with seasonal flavour, and beautifully presented. Louise’s relaxed manner makes for not only an incredible feast, but being able to watch her at work, in my opinion, is one of the best parts of Mortimer Supper Club. It’s a privilege to have the ‘insider view’ to watch her effortlessly create course after course, with what seems like minimal effort, when in fact she consistently knocks out high end fare. Unforgettable, unique evenings, combined with exquisite food in a stunning home, I can’t wait for my next supper club gathering!”
