“Spencer is an amazing music teacher. He was so patient with my daughter when she started ( aged 5 I think). She was really keen to play the piano but was really shy. He made things fun for her to help her maintain focus and this year supported her in getting her grade 1 piano with distinction. He really understood her and what would keep her motivation. Hugely appreciated.”

My sister in law told me about Velvet Burlesque and how much she enjoyed it but i still put it off for a good while as i wasn't confident enough to sign myself up for it, basically making excuses but I finally did and was so nervous when the day came but Lara instantly made me feel so welcome and relaxed as soon as i walked through the door, she kept checking up on me throughout to ensure I was ok. “A lovely experience in store. The assistants were helpful and found me a pair of everyday trainers very quickly. Usually, it takes me ages to find shoes to fit my very wide feet. We also bought a pair of running shoes for my son, who has equally wide feet. We'll definitely return when we need more trainers.”

“Excellent! My daughter has been dancing at Dance Unlimited since she was 3. She enjoys it so much her little sister also wanted to go and has also been there since she was 3. The children really enjoy learning to dance in a fun friendly atmosphere that is relaxed and in no way competitive. Miss Becky and her team are really friendly and helpful. They really connect with the kids and can bring the most timid of children out of their shells. Lots of opportunities for the children to shine during shows, and parent watching weeks every term. We tried a few dance schools before we made a decision and Dance Unlimited was by far the best!”

“A Christmas Carol! Wonderful magical production that stuck close to the story and was one of the most entertaining events we have ever seen on a stage Brilliantly acted with a local twist (Sheffield carols excellent but thought the ghost of Christmas past was slightly weird - the ghost of Christmas present was amazing!) The set and sound and lighting effects were amazing. Our only criticism was of tiny Tim - he should have been made up to look sickly, used a wooden crutch and coughed at the table (he would probably have had TB in Dickensian times). It would be unfair to single out players for individual praise - what a wonderful start to Christmas!”

“A nice, small theatre venue with good views from most seats. We visited to watch a show and had no issues with our seats in Row P. The bar prices were reasonable and that staff were friendly when showing us to our seats. I would visit this theatre again if they had a production I wanted to see.”

“Second visit here and as good as ever. The place is clean and modern and easy to get to. If you are parking in the Civic Quarter car park (formerly Southern Bus Station), you can get a discounted car parking fee. Just ask at the desk for a ticket (there is an explanatory video on Youtube if you get stuck). The cinema areas are clean with a wide variety of seat choices. Recommend the recliners, they are really comfy and just over £8 for a adult ticket. Refreshments are also good value here, compared to the cinema at Lakeside. Didn't know which drink to choose so the absolutely lovely staff member gave me a sample of one to try. Excellent customer service 10/10”

“Well the 5 star award had to come out, first time in 2025. The scones are fantastic. I had the fruit Scone with butter, and the pot of tea was a good strong brew. They topped up the pot with more hot water, excellent customer service. BIG THANK YOU to George who baked freshly on the premises that morning my fruit Scone. We will be back, Sidney enjoyed his doggee biscuit and bowl of water. Yes dogs welcome.”
