βBest waffles ever ! Such a lovely cafe/bar and the staff were great. Never have I had such an amazing waffle before. Fresh, hot and great ingredients. The drinks were top notch as well.β
βWe came for the 12 wines of Christmas on Saturday and had a great time! Rachel who ran the event was knowledgeable and friendly plus the drinks were obviously great! If it hadnβt cost us as much as the event in taxi fees we would be there regularly! Canβt wait to visit the pub in Audlem next given itβs much closer!β
βabsolute treasure in centre of Buxton! (honestly nearly didnβt pop in but sooooo glad we did) ! Delicious matcha latte and THE BEST GF Vegan cake I have ever eaten: Almond and pistachio torte. Staff are lovely and friendly and (NB we called in to a Pudding Emporium around the corner to enquire if we could have a cuppa - got extremely frosty reception) so happy to have discovered Chakra longe!β
βWe have been regulars for several months now and we absolutely love coming here. It's not just a great cafe but a business we really value as part of our community here in Stone. We always feel welcome and the owners go out of their way to make you feel at home. We've tried most things on the menu and everything we've had has been delicious and of great quality - coffee, cakes, full English, veggie breakfast, baps and more. It doesn't get better than that!β
βBeautiful cafe with a wonderful atmosphere. The toasties and panini's were delicious. There is seating both inside and outside so you can sit out in the sun.β
βLovely cafe with great atmosphere, tasty food and coffee expertly brewed and served. Highly recommend it. Leek is a Quainton and beautiful town as well. A group of 6 of us were accommodated for lunch by friendly staff and really enjoyed it!β

βWe popped in Thursday 18th of September 2025 , for something to eat with my wife and daughter, because we haven't been to Shrewsbury for years, my daughter had a 4 day break in the city. It's a quaint little cafe , service with a smile and friendly. Reasonable prices good atmosphere it was about 3 o'clock ish and still busy , but got seating okay. Food was lovely and it was prompt . So all in all well worth a recommendation to come again when we next return from Liverpool. Thanks again all staff and cooks from the Taylor trio liverpool.β
βThis cafe is. In my book the best of the bestest Gail and her staff are there way up top nothing is too much trouble today Sunday 14 th December I went in for a Xmas tea way beyond expectations and that includes the buttercross cafeβ
βWe drove past this place million times and never noticed it untill today. We were really surprised how lovely the place look (despite rundown neighbourhood). The building looks lovely both inside and outside. Jacket potato and the sandwich was really tastyβ

βThe best coffee that I honestly ever have! Perfect temp, taste and service! Thank you!!β
βReally enjoyed having a little stop at this cafe for a drink. In the centre of town just off the main area itβs big enough for maybe 25 people with various tables inside and out. Toilets on site and itβs wheelchair accessible too. They allowed our dog in as he was well behaved. Lovely service and very friendly. We had a couple of cream teas with great clotted cream and home made scones - it was a great time thanksβ
βWe hired the boat "Molly May" through Waterways Holidays from Norbury Wharf.. We arrived and we met by friendly approachable staff. The Boat was ready to go and was spotless.. We loaded up and Phil showed us all we needed to know, he was very thorough and left us full of confidence for the week ahead. On return we were helped into the boat yard and had to admit to a lost windlass and 2 broken glasses!! The staff were very good about it and didn't charge us and even offered 5% off our next to holiday with them! The cafe and chandlery were also excellent.. Many thanks for a great wk of off grid solitude!!β

βGreat food and staff. I had poached eggs on black pudding on an English muffin. Can't stop thinking about it!β
βHad the bacon butty (nofatβ’). 10/10. The Wi-Fi is good enough to facilitate a call to Taiwan. Eventually decided to have myself an Americano to go. It was my first of its kind, and probably my last. Good times.β
βWe have been here a couple of times now and find the staff extremely courteous, excellent service with the added extra of superb home made food. Very reasonableβ¦inexpensive (not cheap!). Just keep it secret!β
βLarge store on outskirts of town. Plenty of choice, good quality food and reasonable prices. Generally a quiet store. Staff always go the extra mile to help.β

βSo nice to finally get a non generic bakery. Really polite helpful staff - great home made feel to their produce and service with a smile - even if I was awkward (a little )β
