βWhat a fab bar! Continental feel. Fabulous selection of beer with Belgium slant. Great service. Crewe from the off is shapng up very nicely indeed!β
βI had the 16-hour smoked ribs here, and what a delight! The meat was beautifully tender, with that deep smoky flavour that comes from real slow cooking. The char and bark held their own without overpowering the natural porkiness.β
βWhat a brilliant hidden gem with a fantastic menu and lovely team. It was quiet when we went but booking is advised as it gets busy especially in the summer with the canal boats. Will be back againβ
βNeeded hotel as visiting family near by, this was in an excellent location. Alsager is a lovely town, we visited a lovely bakers and had a lovely lunch. Also pubs and couple of restaurants nearby for evening meals. If you like national trust, there's a quaint place called Little Morton Hall worth a visit. The hotel was run by lovely people, and the breakfast can't be faulted. We will definitely stay there againβ
βHave been staying in the one of the a cottages for a month while waiting for a house to go through. Cottage perfect, has all amenities needed plus a great welcome package. Outside jacuzzi which wasn't on with it being late autumn but would be lovely in the hot weather. The owner Jane is so nice and provided us with clean bedding and towels each week. If we were moving away I would definitely stay here to visit our family.β
βOMG ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! They may have thought I was joking when I said "Give me loads of chilli sauce on my kebab, I like my food to bite me back, definitely not white girl spicy, I like phals." The look I got when I asked for more chilli sauce, and he replied 'don't blame me' spoke volumes. However, I loved every bite! The meat was perfectly cooked, the naan, spot on. Still nice and hot even after I hiked down the locks to my boat. The guys loved their pizzas too, but being 14 inchers, they left half each for tomorrow, (lightweights haha). Only passing through the village on my travels, but I'll be back and definitely order again. Best kebab ever! Kicked my home town favourite, never before beaten into second place!β
βGreat food at a really reasonable price.β
βFabulous location a stones throw from the golf course and cricket ground. Really close to Newcastle and not a million miles from attractions like Waterworld or Alton Towers. The main draw though is the strawberry picking nearby. You cant escape the rural location when the 12 and 13 year old tractor boys walk around. The food though and the decor are first class. Whilst sitting waiting we watched 10 or 12 different meals come out and we could have ate every single one. A big recommendation from me.β
βLovely, cozy, traditional pub / restaurant, with lovely decor, great, friendly, service, and delicious food. Overall really enjoyable experience taking my elderly mother out (in her wheelchair ... which I was quite dreading, but didn't need to because the Fox & Hounds was 'wheelchair friendly' and (with the help of the lovely staff) the experience was totally stress-free!). So a really special time spent with my mother, who enjoyed her meal immensely! Thank you to all staff at The Fox & Hounds. Totally recommend this pub / restaurant to anyone. And hope to be back there sometime soon myself too!β
βI love this chippy, it's about as good as it gets and I've been going for as long as I can remember (if they were open in the 80's then for that long). Back when my grandparents were alive I use to go and get fish and chips for us all and then sit and talk to them around their kitchen table. Now we have moved up here I'm getting to do the same thing with my little family. Keep up the good work I love your fresh fish and chips and you have never once given bad service.β
βThe Treasure Horse holds a special place in my heart as a beloved Chinese takeout spot that also offers delicious English fish and chips. I've been a patron of this establishment since my childhood, and it has consistently delivered on quality and value. One of the standout features of The Treasure Horse is its great lunchtime meal deals, which offer excellent value for money. The prices are reasonable, and the portion sizes are generous, ensuring a satisfying meal every time. While the staff may not be overly chatty with me personally, they are always concise and efficient in their service. It's evident that they are often busy, which speaks to the popularity of the establishment. I appreciate the family-run atmosphere, which adds a warm and welcoming touch to the dining experience. Whenever I'm not dining at The Treasure Horse, I often notice a steady stream of customers, indicating its popularity within the community. Convenient street parking nearby makes it easy to access, further adding to its appeal. In conclusion, The Treasure Horse is a cherished local spot offering delicious food, reasonable prices, and efficient service. Whether you're craving Chinese cuisine or classic fish and chips, it's sure to satisfy your appetite.β

βSpicelink Crewe The coconut rice was absolutely divine β a true chefβs kiss. The chicken tikka masala was rich, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. As for the garlic naan: crisp, buttery, and utterly addictive. Highly recommend!β
