“A wonderful mixed woodland near to Oakamoor and between Cgeadke and Alton Towers. The site us owned and managed by the National Trust, access is free with plenty of parking at a layby, or in a small dedicated car park about further along the road from Cheadle. A variety of wildlife is on offer if you're lucky enough to see it and walking is medium difficulty with one or two trickier sections dotted about. Rarely more than a handful of people here.”

“Visited here with family between Christmas and New Year as we were staying nearby and needed a dog friendly place to eat. We were more than impressed :)) The atmosphere was lovely with log burners in the front part of the pub- making it feel cosy and festive. The young girl behind the bar was lovely and friendly- as well as some of the local punters who were in there- they made the effort to chat with us and play with our little dog. The food was tasty and fresh and were generous portions. Would definitely recommend visiting here if you’re nearby. We would 100% go back!”

They offer a large variety of learning experiences that engage the children and help them to grow and develop. My son especially enjoyed his visits to the allotment and learning about nature. ABC has great outdoor facilities for the children too. My son also loved playing with the footballs and riding on the bikes (which he told me about when he got home). My son has never been happier than when we was attending this setting. He would skip in in the mornings and not want to come home when I picked him up! He would always ask to stay longer. I trust the staff completely and I truly felt that they invested time in getting to know my son individually and cared about his needs and interests. What a fabulous team they are ! Would recommend to any parent in the area looking for a friendly, exciting and caring environment for their child.”

My son suffers with his hearing due to ear infections and nursery have gone out of their way to support him with different methods of communication to ensure that his communication doesn't fall behind. We get regular updates and pictures via the app which we love as it allows us to see what he's up to during the day. The nursery do loads of lovely things around special events, such as a garden party with the children for the Kings coronation recently. All the staff are so lovely and welcoming, and the variety of food on offer each day is amazing and all cooked from scratch! I wouldn't hesitate to reccomend Hartford Old School House to any other parents, I'm so happy we found it for our boy!”

“I honestly cannot praise this nursery enough. Our little one started at 5 months old due to returning to work after maternity leave, and they have been absolutely brilliant with him, his development has come on leaps and bounds, and he loves going which is a bonus. They keep you up to date with everything and nothing is ever too much trouble. Emily in particular (baby room leader) is an absolute diamond and a true credit to the nursery, my little one probably loves her as much as he loves me and his dad, his little face lights up when he sees her on drop off and she is brilliant with all the little ones. But all the staff are lovely and friendly, even ones who are based in other rooms remember you and greet you. The nursery itself is clean, bright and open, and family orientated - baby room has a family tree with pictures of all the baby's families on which I think is a lovely touch. It's safe and secure with lots of activities inside and out in the garden to keep all the little ones busy.”
