“Pete and his team provided a superb experience throughout every moment of the trip right from the start. We opted for two days, including a practice day at which we could take seemingly endless photos, and we were very glad we did. Pete was incredibly helpful and professional throughout the whole experience and a very friendly face when we met in Augusta. The accommodation in Athens was a high standard in a very pleasant university town. Any requested change to our itinerary was dealt with very quickly and practically and with minimum fuss. Lorraine in the office was fantastic in every aspect of her work and is a really valuable contact during the trip. The whole experience was fantastic and I could not recommend Pete and his team at Tailormade more highly.”

“Having played here multiple times in the past, at least 20 and always enjoyed it. I’ve not played at Malkins Bank Golf Course for about four years until today. I knew by the website that there were new owners and they understood the trial ahead of them to get this once great course back to its best. The new style club house is superb. More modern, welcoming and solid range of food and drink. Driving range is closed due H&S reasons, but not current owners fault. The course is still great to play. Undulating, narrow in places, risk and reward, and fun packed holes. Yes, the fairways and greens need work, but once again I knew this from the website and still thought £25 was a good price for the round. A good green keeper will need at least 12 - 18 months to work the magic, but it will be worth it. Today was the most fun I’ve had playing golf in a long time. Thank you.”

“Needed hotel as visiting family near by, this was in an excellent location. Alsager is a lovely town, we visited a lovely bakers and had a lovely lunch. Also pubs and couple of restaurants nearby for evening meals. If you like national trust, there's a quaint place called Little Morton Hall worth a visit. The hotel was run by lovely people, and the breakfast can't be faulted. We will definitely stay there again”

“The accomodation was excellent. We had a converted outbuilding to ourselves with a choice of bedrooms, a small kitchen, lounge and conservatory. A friendly welcome from Eileen together with a couple of generous slices of cake was a perfect start to the stay at the farm. There was plenty of toiletries, tea, coffee, milk etc and the kitchen was well appointed with immaculate and modern appliances. The owners have got a Labrador puppy named Harper who was absolutely adorable. We would have loved to stay longer and will definitely return to this idyllic and peaceful location with stunning views of the countryside. There are plenty of places to eat and drink in the area. We ended up having a curry in a restaurant called "New royal balti" in Audley which was superb. Being non licensed we took a bottle of wine there from the Tesco store a few doors away.”

“Absolutely superb 4 day break at Alvaston Hall this week. The entertainments team were the very best I’ve seen at any of the Warner hotels. They work so hard not only on stage which was amazing but also all around the hotel keeping everyone entertained during the day. I wish them all well in the future, keep up the good work. To summarise , the room was clean and comfortable, food was very good, and the entertainment was second to none. We will definitely be back!!”

“A large group of us had a wonderful meal at the Dog and Doublet, while staying at a local Airb&b. We were treated excellently, by friendly, helpful and very attentive staff. Our food was delicious and came quickly, high quality and worth the money. Definitely recommended.”

“I had my wedding here on the 8th August 2025. Abby and Howard did such a fantastic job. Our ceremony was in the cave at the follies, our reception was at the hotel. Our day was absolutely perfect and all our guests complimented all the work Abby and Howard did. The day ran smoothly and there was no stress or issues. The hotel was spotless and extremely clean. They moved our belongings to the bridal suite, and left us a lovely surprise when we retired to our room at night. The food was absolutely delicious. Food was delivered warm and in a timely manner. Abby even assisted me with setting everything up ready the day before my wedding. I cannot compliment Abby and Howard enough. Abby especially has been wonderful over the last 18 months of wedding planning. She has always been polite, responsive and so incredibly kind and welcoming to my family, guests and ourselves. Our wedding was a very long day and Abby and Howard were absolutely exceptional. We truly cannot thank you enough for giving us the wedding of our dreams. I would strongly recommend couples to get married at the follies, it an intimate wedding is preferred. It was beautiful and the views were just breathtaking. We had additional guests for our wedding breakfast, with further guests for our evening reception. All at the Hawkstone Park Hotel. Abby was very accommodating to our needs. “We've just spent 5 nights in the Byley suite at this lovely hotel. I can't fault it in any way. It's very clean and comfortable. The staff are all friendly and attentive. The breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. The grounds and outside spaces are attractive and well maintained and there's plenty of parking available.”

“Really nice soft play, my son had a great time. But special mention to the two women who were working when we visited - my son has a peanut allergy (which can make it really tricky to eat when we're out, and I can feel quite anxious). The manager got me the food packages so that I could check the ingredients and made me feel so at ease. The other woman working made me feel so much better when I was apologising for being a pain. I felt really understood and comfortable. They were just great. Thank you!”

“I didn't actually stay here but from the fantastic review from friends I picked up, they were over the moon with what was available for them, the children didn't stop, zip wire, endless list of equipment and each of the 14 rooms had a tv with fire sticks for Netflix etc, inside was a mac and computer games, loads of board games and also the hot tub was ready for arrival, massive bbq, large tables for a big family get together. Brilliant by the look of it.”

From start to finish, she was absolutely lovely – warm, welcoming, and attentive to every detail. The atmosphere was so calming, and Sofi’s professionalism and kindness truly made the day special. I left feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and already looking forward to my next visit.
