Built between about 1504 to 1610, it has a fascinating history including being requisitioned in 1643 by Parliamentarians during the English Civil War which plunged the Moreton family owners in to crippling debt. Beautiful house and gardens with a good cafe and shop. Well worth a visit.”

“First time at this restaurant. The restaurant is dimly lit giving it a nice atmosphere and the decor is lovely. The food was tasty & well presented - there's a lot of choice. The staff are very friendly & attentive. We will be back very soon. Recommended !”

“After not using my bike for 2 yrs and having an ex partner always maintaining my bike, I took the bike in for a service. I didn’t know what I required and I hoped that the guys wouldn’t take advantage of this. I was given an approx price & if the bike was going to cost a lot more than stated they would call me to agree. Picked up & I was given simple maintenance and guidance. They answered all my questions. These lads are knowledgable and I would go again for advice. Thank you”

“Are here recently. It was quiet as midweek. The food, staff and service were spot on. No complaints at all. No licence so you take your own alcohol(no corkage charged). Would definitely eat there again.”

“Boothroyd agrees that this a good place for an old King to drink. Surprisingly large pub with a rear patio. Boothroyd decided on a pint of draught Bass. Very good traditional ale. Sat in the strand twixt bar and garden, close to the Throne Room. Enjoyed the music.”

“I got married at Double Tree by the hilton in Chester on 2nd of December and I booked with The Added Extra for my wedding love letters & post box. The letters really did set off the cocktail reception and my evening reception party I absolutely loved them both with the theme I was going for. Price for the love letters wasn't as bad I thought so I was really happy with that. I spoke with Joanna from booking and everything ran smoothly and then Hannah handle the set up for me and I was completely at ease she emailed me that week on the run up to the wedding and everything was sorted I didn't have to chase this which was nice. I would highly recommend. Thanks again Added Extra for my lovely set up and I can't wait to see more photos of my photographer. Xx”

The guidance and advice was good and we didn't once feel under a hard sell. Although prices on-line are inevitably cheaper, there is a reliance on showrooms like this to allow customers to try the product and, as such, they deserve our business.
