“It was my husband who discovered this place for our dinner with friends. Great vibes and love the fact it is a community pub. My starter of the Korean cauliflower was absolutely amazing and I could have very happily eaten a larger portion as a main. For my main however, I went for the pesto bread and butter pudding and again this was delicious. My husband and friends enjoyed their meals. I was too full for pudding but as I wasn't driving, I enjoyed the special cocktail, whiskey sour, before we headed home. Good vegetarian options.”

“Great evening tonight at Redwood Smokehouse. The food and service was fantastic. We were a table of 9 and each one of us fully enjoyed our food. “We booked a table for 10 plus infant to celebrate my partners’ 60th birthday. What a fantastic decision that was. The staff could not have been more helpful. The food was fantastic and extremely good value. I contacted them in advance and they made a delicious birthday cake to serve at the end of the meal and even put up birthday bunting. “A very well known pub in Winsford , very cosy clean , outside seating with heaters and tv’s always thinking about the customer , the ladies behind the bar very well manner to customers ect ect . “Staying in a hotel in Hanley for work. Had a walk to this place on my own a couple of nights. Good selection of craft beers to choose from, on draft and in chilled cans. There were also cask and draft cider options. When I visited there were 7 craft beers available including pilsner, IPA, sour and stout. Good selection of music on too, punk, grunge rock. Patrons and staff were friendly and welcoming, the venue is has a calm relaxed atmosphere. Come and support this local business!”

“I found this place through Google review search. We arrived and was told they could not accommodate 4 of us inside. A very helpful lady sorted us out with a nice table right in the centre of the pub. We ordered and waited for a short time . We were not prepared for the portion size, we had fish, pie and chips, sausage and mash and the half rack of ribs. The ribs I swear came of the biggest pig in the peak District. Every thing was fresh hot and tasteful. It was amazing, I would not drive past this place. It is the real deal. After a day on the peaks this is the place for amazing atmosphere great fresh local tasteful food.”

“The Lodge has triumphed again this weekend with a great music afternoon and footy in the evening (shame about the result). Carl and Sarah never disappoint, great owners and hosts with their fingers on the pulse when it comes to quality and variety of beer, a constantly changing choice whilst retaining the firm favourites that customers favour. Such a lot of transformational work has been carried out here both internally and externally, a great place to meet friends and chat with regulars. Last afternoon/evening ran like clockwork so well done to all your hardworking staff who support you. "Where everybody knows your name And they're always glad you came" from the theme tune to Cheers for those old enough to remember it! So "Cheers! to Carl, Sarah and all the staff.”

“We arrived mid afternoon in our Motorhome with plans to eat in the pub and stay in the car park overnight. The staff were very accommodating and said it was no problem for us to do this. We had a light lunch and drinks in the afternoon then returned in the evening for dinner at a table I had booked a few days prior to our visit. The food was fantastic and the service was first class.
