“We had Sunday lunch today for 7 people. Everyone had a different Sunday Roast that was on offer. All were very nicely presented on hot plates. I had the pork belly that was very tender & tasty. Some of us had turkey that was very moist & plentiful. The beef was very nice & was cooked to your liking, the lamb was tender. The selection of vegetables hot & nicely cooked We also had some extras, pigs in blankets, red cabbage & cauliflower cheese all really nice. The service was very good, friendly & helpful. Was a very relaxing afternoon with friend's. Would highly recommend the Peacock for a lovely meal in nice relaxing surroundings. Will be going back for sure. Thank you for your service & a lovely time.”
“John and the punters here are just magnificent. Especially Steve, who does the open.mic night the last Saturday of every month. If you play an instrument, you need to experience this place on an open mic night.”
“Great little pub , Manager was welcoming as where is customers , drinks competitively priced .”
“Best little local pub ever. Always puts in a great 'bash'.”
“Fantastic food great service fast delivery”
“Great pub, lovely staff and dog friendly. Visiting while on a mini break and would recommend”
“2025 Works Christmas meal with 39 of us planned well in advance. We were pleasantly impressed with welcoming staff and tasty food, the meals were hot and generous portions. Even with the large group to manage the staff kept smiling while matching meals with the right names. Each course came pretty swiftly so everyone had food at similar timings. A separate server sorted everyone with drinks throughout. On the whole a solid experience. We learnt later the meals weren't a seasonal menu - but a weekly roast which you could have the same on another visit, which i may come back with the family to be fair. (thank you for a great evening)!”
“Over all a very good pub. Polite staff, good music and fairly priced drinks. Had a good couple nights out here x”
“Lovely place, very friendly staff.. I had an awesome time there. Beer prices are very reasonable. Definitely going there again”
“No food but still 5 star rated it. I’m an away fan. And sometimes it’s hard when away. Nathan the door man was suoerb come in with colours if you want but also beer prices are reasonable and he really helped us out after talking to him. Most reasonable doorman in the uk and Dean on the door was flipping epic x”
“Came for a 'posh' fish and chips with my sister on Saturday afternoon. It was a Virgin gift voucher from my friends. We were seated straight away and all the staff were really lovely. Modern decor. The fish and chips were delicious and we also enjoyed the fizz that came with it. Great first impression of the place and we will certainly call in again. Thank you for a lovely time.”
“Rookery Wood formerly Tom Cobleighs has been here since the late nineties. One of the few places locally that you can get an all you can eat breakfast. Around 11.30 it changes to a carvery. Parking is free and there's ample spaces to be had. They have a beer garden and a separate smoking area by the entrance. Tried there all you can eat breakfast which was around £8 for another £2 you can get unlimited tea and coffee. Service is excellent as was the breakfast. Many thanks to Joe who served me who was very welcoming and sociable. What I liked is you have a toaster that you can toast your own bread which is far better than having it from under the heat lamps. The spread included bacon, sausage, black pudding, hash brown, scrambled eggs, fried eggs, tomatoes, beans and mushrooms also believe it or not Yorkshire pudding is also on offer. Would highly recommend Rookery Wood and with so many people here today many agree its the place to come to any morning for that breakfast experience.”
“I attended the Four Eagles on the 23rd December with my children for the breakfast with Grinch, for a festive morning before Christmas, around the madness of work. I can't thank Junior and the team enough! They went above and beyond throughout and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The food was great as always. We will definitely be back for more visits in the New Year!”
“No idea if food is done as it was 10pm + when I dropped in. Decent pint of Guinness, and a reasonable amount of people coming and going, far better than the previous tenants that took me for a few thousand.”
“The Brunswick is still a fantastic pub as it has been for the last 20years. Music every weekend, a brilliant selection of well kept ales. Decent prices. Excellent bar staff. One of Crewe's better places to wet your whistle”
“This was such a good experience and I have to thank our server, Beth for making it a jolly time. I had a dinner/lunch with my family and Beth was cracking jokes every second we talked to her. My family and I tipped her some coins and hoped we gave her quite a bit! Thank you for this amazing time, Beth, and the beefeater! x”
“Great local pub, run by a great family. Friendly atmosphere, and good prices on drinks.”
“Brilliant! Food is not processed. good quality!! Amazing!! Highly recommend the ham & cheese panini”
“A strong landlord and landlady have just taken this pub over. I have a great deal of respect for them. They keep the beer well at excellent prices. Keep up the good work and see you soon x.”
“Only used the car park to go to the nearby theatre. IT'S FREE ON SUNDAYS!!!! My car recommends it!”
“Since moving to the area we have frequented this establishment numerous times. It is very clean, the staff are very friendly and efficient and we have never had a bad meal. It is certainly our favourite new local!”
“Great fun pub with lively but chill experience. Staff very friendly and a great place to go for some food and booze”
“You know what this place has changed. It went really downhill and we stopped going for many years. The new management is top dollar and they have done a proper job. The place is nice and well cleaned and the food freshly cooked to order for breakfast. I'd go back there and eat again, its cost effective and a no nonsense simple menu. It isn't a top end restaurant and doesnt elude to being so. But the display of food and the taste... well it was dot on!”
“Had a half hour to spend between trains - Hero's bar was placed conveniently right next to our platform, so enjoyed a pint in this cosy wee pub whilst we waited.”
