βWe visited late in the year last year and although the walk was stunning with the dramatic coastal views we were keen to return to see some puffins. Returned again in June and today we saw around 10 puffins among the other sea birds. A really beautiful walk.β
βWe recently got married at Logie House and I couldn't recommend it enough. The venue is stunning, it has been very well looked after and Stef and Tim have thought of all the little details which make it feel homely and welcoming. It has everything you need for a fun and relaxing weekend with friends and family. All the staff were incredible and went above and beyond to make our weekend special.β
βFrom the initial process of booking a viewing to the wedding day itself - everything at Drumtochty was seamless! Tamsin, Nikki and the rest of the team are quite literally the best of the best. They know the castle inside out which massively helps when you've never planned a wedding before! They were hugely responsive to enquiries and nothing was ever a hassle or too inconvenient. Most people think their wedding day is perfect and for us, it really was. All the details on the day and in the lead up were taken care of - from the private (and phenomenal!) food tasting to the delicious afternoon tea. And practical things in particular were a huge help, like the fact they already have beautiful tableware ready, a great PA system and there's even steamer(s!) on-site. Everything has been thought of. Our guests were (and still are!) extremely complimentary. They commented on how well looked after they felt throughout the weekend. On that note, having the castle for two nights with everyone staying on site really is a huge plus! We had the opportunity to meet our friends and family and celebrate with them the night before which meant that on the day itself, it really was just about the two of us. And the housekeeping team are next level. Not only are they super friendly (on the rare occasion you're blessed with seeing them to say thank you!) but they work miracles clearing up and turning the castle around for the wedding day. As the bride and groom, we didn't feel stressed at all on our wedding day because it all ran like clockwork. Thanks to everyone at Drumtochty, we were so well looked after (there's a million things we could rave about - from being brought mimosas in the morning to having our own canapes set aside!) Everything was smooth, nothing was rushed and it was absolutely worth every penny. Guaranteed you won't find a better wedding venue in Aberdeenshire.β
βWe found it easily, and parking was good. The walled garden was absolutely beautiful and had its own interesting story. The castle was fun and very interesting. You can walk through at your own pace, with very knowledgeable guides in each section of the castle. We really enjoyed the history of the place and the people that owned it and lived there. You can take pictures, and there is a cafe and nice facilities. There is spiral staircases, if thatβs an issue for you.β
βDuthie Park Winter Gardens is such a unique and beautiful spot for a wedding! Lush greenery, vibrant blooms, and the most gorgeous natural lightβitβs like stepping into a little tropical paradise in the heart of Aberdeen. The atmosphere is so relaxed and romantic, making it the perfect backdrop for capturing love stories. Easily one of my favourite spots to photograph, and it never disappoints!β

βit's a very popular centre. Definitely needs more funding to keep it viable. Used by locals and those further afieldβ
βThis is a lovely venue, with a warm welcome and a personal touch for people hiring the space. It's a testament to the spirit of local people that this historic building is not only still standing, but has been recently upgraded into a very flexible space with a small but well stocked kitchen, computers, wifi projectors and screen and many other amenities. It's a great resource for the local community and those from further afield. Highly recommended.β
βWe had a wonderful family lunch at Banchory Lodge to celebrate my parents golden wedding anniversary. My dad has issues hearing so we were given the option to book a private dining space which was lovely. We were well looked after and the food was fantastic. Highly recommendβ
βAbsolutely brilliant hotel. Staff were always so helpful, polite and friendly, rooms are of good size and have all the usual things youβd need. (Only thing i would say to the hotel is get some plug sockets installed bear to the bed when possible). Breakfast was really very good, and the same could be said about the restaurants evening meals, VERY generous portions, all tasted lovely and at a great price. Look forward to my next stay here. Thanks.β
βWe visited yesterday for the first time and itβs safe to say we will definitely be back . I have 5 children age range 4months to 10 years and can honestly say there is something for everyone including us adults. Big hits were the mini land rovers, feeding the animals, the soft play, mini golf and much more. We stayed from open to close and not once did i hear complaints of boredom from any of the kids. We were lucky enough to catch good weather but im positive even on a rainy day with wellies and puddlesuits the same fun would be had. The staff were lovely and nothing was a trouble, food was 10 of 10! We had a fab day! See yous again soon :)β
