“This is a beautiful boardwalk out to the beach..one word of warning..check to go at low tide! We arrived at high tide and had a very uncomfortable stony walk towards Newcastle. This had to be abandoned as the tide was so high, it was up against the steep stony boulders bordering the golf course.”

“Holy Trinity Church belongs to the Heritage Center and they have done a wonderful job preserving this medieval church and it's graveyards in this incredibly beautiful little medieval lough-side village. Inside this centuries old church is an amazing mural filling the entire wall opposite the stained glass window. It shows Carlingford and her multiple ruins as they had been back when these places were built. The stained glass window which soars to the sky had once been blown out of the church after it had fallen into near ruin itself. Four local men came and picked up all of the pieces, cataloging them and keeping them until it was restored many years later. Thanks to the Heritage Center for helping insure Holy Trinity Church will be here for generations yet to come.”

“Our wedding was beyond what we could have hoped for! From our initial viewing through to the big day, Larchfield were wonderful. We chose the 'Larchfield Bliss' package and it was such a great decision. Meg one of their incredible coordinators recommended and then chased up suppliers. She was in contact with us in the run up to the day and was there on the day and the morning after. She was professional but relaxed and made the whole process so fun. There were wonderful options for both indoor and outdoor ceremonies, and they shifted timings slightly and dried seats on the day so our ceremony could still be outdoors in the walled garden despite a burst of rain just before. They had an MC (Derek) who ran our day so that it went without a hitch - ushering guests at the right time and getting everyone in the party spirit. Also they have such a great indoor/outdoor reception area with fires and marshmallows in the evening! This connects to a relaxed bar area and the barn where we had dinner and our band was like something out of a fairy tale. All of our guests were blown away. With the package the barn is already decorated and it was absolutely stunning, but Larchfield are happy for you to add your own touches if you want. It was a very personal service with as much or as little input from the team as you wanted. They were available for query's from us and our family at all times and let us go back for repeated viewings. They even had the venue packed up by the team the next morning! We booked the accommodation for 2 nights and it was so special to have our close family, bridesmaids and groomsmen all staying on site with us. The accommodation is really high quality and very comfy beds! Thank you to Larchfield for making not only our day but the whole planning process seem easy/fun. We've enjoyed the whole process and are so grateful to your team for all the work they put in.”

“We had our daughter’s 8th birthday party here in Saturday with her whole class. It was absolutely amazing! Kids had a ball, food was great, staff are just lovely. I’d recommend it to anyone. Absolutely brilliant day!”

“Beautiful wedding venue. The party area for the reception was so well decorated and the balcony made for a great cool down zone post dance marathon. The bar staff were really lovely, especially a ginger-y gentleman who was working at the bar upstairs. Very friendly and working his butt off to keep up with a lot of big drinks orders. I didn't stay in the guest rooms that night but I have heard from family that it was a great stay.”

“Amazing family experience. This really got us and the kids into the Xmas spirit. Really well done. The kids had a ball. Visiting Santa made the whole experience he spoke to them about their favourite things and what they wanted for Xmas. Highly recommend is a tad expensive tho.”

“The kids loved here. Its all trampolines and sponge pits . They are supervised and you can get fresh pizzas cold drinks coffee tea and traybakes too. They also have party room . Would highly recommend here .”

“I seen the Minecraft movie at 5:50 pm on Wednesday only 2 people in the room it was a nice experience with my XL popcorn that was way bigger than I thought I seen mufasa with recliners a while back and it was and amazing place definitely recommend it”

“The best place in Newcastle to take your kids for some amusement fun. Lots of non-gambling activities and games suitable for all ages. Our 6 year old loved his time here and especially loved feeding his tickets into the machine to claim his prizes at the end. Definitely recommended but not to send kids unsupervised. Coin push machines are fun but only if children are taught that it’s just for fun and not expecting to win otherwise it could encourage a gambling spirit in them. All in all though it’s a great fun place to spend an hour or so during your holiday.”

“Decent entertainment centre with good size play area full of adventures for children. Unfortunately I didn’t take photos of the playground as I don’t want to capture other children. My child had fun playing here with his friend. We had lunch at the main restaurant, I had fish and chips. It was ok ish. I can’t comment on other menu. Overall, it’s a nice entertainment centre perfect for a family days out.”

“Sensory party. Just had my 10 year old boys party with all his friends in cheeky monkeys. It was a sensory party - and was the most relaxed party I have ever attended. It was fantastic! Mary and the staff could not have been more helpful or attentive. Would highly recommend this for anyone with kids who need a party in a quiet and relaxed environment!
