“Brilliant place Portsmouth Players”
“Very good nursery, my son loves spending time there. He is very fond of Liam on hi5. Liam is very caring to the children no wonder all the children are “crazy” about him, my son included.”
“My little one has just turned 2 and she loves this place, one special note is that this play cafe is genuinely very very clean, the staff very regularly, go round and wipe all the toys down with wipes etc, very impressed.”
“Popped into the cathedral this afternoon very briefly with my parents and their dog who were visiting Portsmouth for the first time. We had a very warm welcome from the guide Pamela who was very helpful and quizzed us on what age we thought the cathedral is. What a beautiful building. Lots to see, we will have to return soon when we have more time and the upcoming musical events. Dog friendly too!”
“great place and service, we had birthday party for 6 crazy boys and it went very well even though kids were slightly under 7 and no vr experience. well done and big thanks to the host on the picture!”
“My son who is 5 loved this place! I wish I heard about it sooner. You have to book sessions as they close to clean up for the next session. There's lots of different stations such as supermarket, maternity, builders, cafe, salon, farmers and a theatre stage. Would love to come back again.”
“Great communication and staff always friendly, leagues are well run, a nice place to play football.”
“Love getting my kids weighed here”
“Fabulous venue to see the Counting Crows - really impressive acoustics - really enjoyed it. Shame we had to queue in the rain to get in, but understand why.”
“Chit Chats cafe was recommended to me by a neighbour who works at the community centre. This morning I decided to try out the full English breakfast, wow what a little gem of a find. The breakfast was served piping hot and very well presented,i thought the food was good quality and perfectly cooked and presented. I would highly recommend having the breakfast an absolute snip at £3.95p. I will be back and hope to try out the Meal Deal of Special of the day, desert or cake, tea or coffee with free refill all for £5.50. Thank you chef for a wonderful start to my working day”
“Awesome venue, great session. We went to a Friday night under 11s disco. Amazing staff huge thank you to Sarah at the Portsmouth branch who went above and beyond to provide excellent customers service”
“I led a wedding ceremony here and the staff were lovely. Its modern and big and run very well its a good set up and I had a great time. Oli the operations manager was lovely and knows his stuff and was very helpful. The wedding ceremony went so well I would definitely work with them again in the future.”
“This is such a special place for little people. Our son was cared for by Michelle before she opened the nursery and he now attends Lime Tree and absolutely adores it. The staff are both highly professional yet very caring and look after the children as if they were their own (they are also brilliant at giving advice, when asked, to first time parents who may have a few questions about development, health or behaviour - and I really value this!). I love that there is an element of theme with their play and learning (for instance, countries, colours or world festivals) and while they spend some time in with their own age group they also spend plenty of time mixing with the other ages which provide a more realistic home from home feel and helps my toddler in his development by playing with and learning from the older children. He has so much fun and gets so much out of his time at Lime Tree, I couldn't recommend it more highly.”
“Good space. My daughter attends ballet here. Fantastic lessons.”
“We went today for their special DIY Christmas shoot event and it was so much fun to take pictures with all the back drops and props they'd set up. I've also been for soft play too and they have so many toys and bits to play with!”
“The most healthy aquarium I’ve seen in a while! The fish were very good and the whole space was easy to navigate. You can leave and enter at any time after buying a ticket, and there’s a cool gift shop at the end. As a fish enjoyer this was such a great experience, I recommend it.”
“Our son has been going to Wonder House Nursery for about a year now and he enjoys it so much. Drop off and pick-up is really efficient which is handy when busy with work. They really focus on his personal development with teeth brushing, self feeding and social skills. The feedback you get has been so much better than other experiences we have had getting an update everyday on the app with photos to see what he’s been up to. The baby room team are so lovely and personable you feel so welcome and they are such a credit to the nursery, thank you!”
“Had my daughters 5th Birthday Party today at Busy Town and as always we are very impressed. It was one of the most enjoyable children's parties I have booked, so easy and so good! Busy Town did the food and party bags so all we had to do was turn up with the cake and everything was taken care of. Julie and Hannah are fab and us adults could just socialise whilst the children played freely with all of the toys. If you want a hassle free party this is the way to go!”
“Country Mouse Nursery have been a huge part of my little boys development and he has learnt so many things from the fabulous staff. We get so many compliments from external people saying how clever, polite and kind our little boy is, and the nursery staff play a huge part in this !! He loves going into nursery to see his friends and all the staff! As parents we are so happy to see him thrive in this environment and watch him turn into a happy little boy. The activity days for the kids are amazing, and sometimes we are gobsmacked without how much they have done throughout the week. We never have any concerns or worries .. our little boy is in the safest hands and the best environment for him to learn and be happy! Country Mouse is the perfect nursery for your little ones :)”
“Had a fabulous anniversary party in this lovely centre. There was plenty of room and having the back room meant we had a quiet space for the children as well as the main hall. We used the stage for some of the games which helped everyone to see. The kitchen had everything our caterer needed and all the arrangements for the day were easy. Guests had no trouble finding the place and it was easy for those coming by train.”
“Went to the Festival of speed on Sunday and it really didn't disappoint. The event was huge with something for every type of car enthusiast from vintage to future concept cars on display. The red arrows put on a cracking display and the atmosphere was filled with race fuel and tyre smoke. Awesome!”
“A diverse range of shows on offer here, which I would think will appeal to a wide range of people. Tidy modern interiors and a good view of the stage (even from the relatively cheap seats) give a more intimate feel to the performances than you might otherwise expect. Plentiful parking in the adjacent Northgate Car Park.”
“Stunning at sunset (Car park closes at 6pm though) We went at the end of the day, at the end of the off-season and almost had the place to ourselves. The sand was so soft and clean. The area felt so natural and unspoilt. Thank you to the National Trust for taking such good care of this beautiful place.”
“A very intimate experience, certainly if you are sitting in the front row, which for our show had just 2 seats in each section. The theatre mimics the hexagon shape of its bigger sibling but on a much smaller scale.”
“The Festival of Speed is simply world-class awesome!!! And brilliantly organised (though they should be prepared to scan QR codes on phones, rather than print hundreds of thousands of paper tickets!!! What a waste.....”
“I moved my son here when they first started being open 51 weeks, as a working parent I needed wraparound care. Set in a lovely location with a huge green, a newly build hall, allotments & local parks that they visit - this is the perfect setting. With a close relationship with the practitioners you know your little ones are having more 1-2-1 as it is a smaller setting. Lots of activities to do as well as daily walks, outings to the local supermarket. It is enjoyed by all. They also had visits from ambulances, forest school leaders etc With daily updates on Tapestry I knew my son was having the best time as well as being well updated with news & events. It was easy to communicate with the staff. Cecilia, my sons Key Worker was fantastic. Always keeping me updated with my son’s progress and any problems I would be notified. Thank you Claire, Hannah and the rest of the team. We miss Little Learners!”
“Fab “Elsa” party held for my daughter in January 2025. Rey is a great and attentive host and the kids had SO much fun. Only comment is that the music at the venue is VERY loud. Not a problem for everyone but could be for others. Would definitely recommend!”
“The only place I could find that sold giant music note balloons! They were brilliant and very reasonable price, thanks so much :)”
“We have had Green Roots in our life's now for over 5 years, our first won attend not long after it opened and it was clear from the start that he was going to be very happy here. The staff are amazing and give the children all the care and love in the world, as well as providing the most fantastic environment for them to learn and grow. Our second son has been here for over a year and half and again I cannot fault the experience that he is having, both my boys settled quickly and have flourished at Green roots.”
