“Had to support a friend at the Crown court today, the day was helped by a surprise just next door… AJs Dinner. The Bacon and mushroom sandwich the Ladies served, was one of the best I have ever eaten, this coming from a chef of 40 years. Bacon perfectly cooked and so many delicious fresh button mushrooms. Well done ladies, keep up the good work! If you are Kidiminster definitely worth visiting”

“Excellent hotel, very friendly staff. However the breakfast service was slow and we only just had time to eat our breakfast as we had to catch a train. The staff were apologetic but we had to rush our food and this meant we didn't enjoy the experience. Next time we will have cereal.”

“Amazing food! We went on a Monday and had the 3 course (poppadoms, starter and main with side) for £13.50 which is great value. The restaurant was very quiet but so clean and looks like it has been redecorated recently! The only advice I'd give is for a bit of music and for the waiter to have a bit more confidence. He was lovely, but let your personality shine! Please visit this gem, such great food.”

“A real gem of a pub within easy walking distance to Kidderminster train station. The pub does have a small car park and there is also parking available in the street. Inside the pub has a cosy bar at front with plenty of tables and also a separate restaurant area. There is a lovely long beer garden at rear with plenty of tables and seating. The food menu and specials board had lots of choice and is very reasonably priced. Good choice of real ales, beers and wines. Food quality was superb and tasty. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth a visit.”

“Great, quirky cafe. Absolutely loved our visit to break up our long journey. Lovely hot coffee in a decent size cup, toastie was tasty and very good value for money. My husband and I needed a bite to eat but not a huge meal and the lady who served us sensibly advised us to share the toastie as it was quite substantial. We appreciated that advice as she could have just sold us two toasties. I’m sure we would not have been able to finish them. Staff were very welcoming and efficient, we noticed that tables were cleaned quickly and thoroughly and even the seating was wiped between customers. The toilet, whilst a portaloo behind the cafe, was the best portaloo I have used. It was clean, well equipped and they have obviously tried to make the best of what they have. If I didn’t live so far away I would visit this cafe regularly. So glad I found this lovely independent cafe.”

“We have just returned from a lovely evening at The Swan. We were a large group of 18 people but this presented no problems for the team and food was brought out all together and each meal was tasty, well presented and piping hot. Service was also friendly, efficient and full of smiles. We always recommend The Swan to people but the team really went the extra mile tonight with our large group. Thank you!”

“Our first time visiting and we were not disappointed. We arrived midday on a Sunday and we were the only people inside so it was quiet. However the decor paired with the music created a nice atmosphere. We both ordered the chicken yeeros and they were absolutely delicious. The portions were generous and very reasonably priced. We look forward to returning and trying out the rest of the menu.”

“Excellent micro pub. Impressive selection of their own brewed beers and guest ales. Huge real ale selection and some craft keg beers. Service was very efficient as was very busy when I visited due to the Kidderminster Halesowen match.”

“Fantastic pub, lovely staff. The Atmosphere here was lovely. A dog friendly pub, which you don't see very often. 3 dogs came up to sit next to me, which I thought was lovely. All in all, Awesome, for a proper pub in the heart of Worcestershire. You have to visit it That's why I'm proud of being, as they say a Shropshire lad, well I'm from Far Forest which is on the boundary line that goes in to Shropshire but I'm a Worcestershire lad, born and bred. “A really lovely pub with a great atmosphere. There are a few different rooms to choose where to sit and a huge garden with plenty of benches to sit at. It's a Bathams pub but they serve other beers, lagers and ciders too. They offer a range of cobs, pork pies, sausage rolls and pasties all of which are great. Definitely worth a visit.”
