“I have been using Special Friends Dog & Cat Grooming for the past two years after using numerous other dog groomers and now I would not use anyone else. Karen is very friendly, professional and approachable. My Pomeranian doesn’t seem to mind going to the groomers anymore as Karen seems to put him at ease he seems to be very comfortable and happy in a nice sized spaced ‘Doggy Salon’ and he always looks exceptional when I pick him up =)”

“Our dog Bruce was really well cared for up until he was put to sleep out of kindness. The love and support we had was amazing. They even allowed us to bring in our other dog to say goodbye after he passed. We will never forget the kindness they showed us on the worst day of our lives. They took some paw prints from him and his fur that we will treasure forever. We cannot thank you guys enough.”

“Staff are always welcoming and helpful. The birds/guinea pigs/bunnies generally seem happy (and cute) and well provided for. Good selection of products (better quality hay) and a generous loyalty card thingy. Been going for years and will continue to - I bought my bunny here in 2018 (not pictured!) Parking near the test centre can be a pain but not the fault of the pet center of course.”

“Katie is such a fabulous groomer for our cocker spaniel. With a natural crimp her hair can get knotted and matted very easily plus can get over grown very quickly. She always comes back lovely and smooth with gorgeous cuts on her skirts and neat little paws. Also smells AMAZING! Katie always has lots of really helpful advice on dealing with her coat to keep her smart plus offers to do little in between trims on her feet, Mabel loves going too as she feels so comfortable which says a lot!”

“We’ve been taking our Bichon Frise/Shih Tzu cross to Julia for the last 2 years and I cannot recommend her enough! Bella always runs in wagging her tail and always has a lovely experience. Julia is very professional and knowledgeable and Bella always comes out looking so lovely. Julia is obviously very experienced in what she does and I can’t fault her at all.”

“Grace our beautiful 16+ year old fur baby has just had a lovely 2 week holiday at Auntie Olwyn’s I was sooo worried leaving Grace as she is old nervous never left her before and set in her ways I emailed twice for an update on Grace’s stay she’s enjoyed it and when I went to collected her I don’t think she was keen on leaving her heated bed!! “Sam was highly recommended by a friend. We had been reluctant to have our rescue dog groomed as she is very nervous. Sam was brilliant with her and very patient. Even better that she only has one dog at a time so it is a one to one groom. Amy looked amazing after her groom. “my two girls go here and the service is always excellent. we have a miniature long haired dachshund (Ailee) and a shepsky (Luna) (which is quite the size and coat difference) and they do an amazing job on both. they take amazing care of them, knowing Ailee has separation anxiety when without me but she showns no bad signs and loves the girls there! their coat difference also shows the amazing experience they have and I would trust no one else to look after my girls and always meet my expectations. if I could give 10 stars I would.”

“After a complete shambles of a hair cut. I took my cockapoo to doggy do's and the lovely ladies did my dog indie. Not only did they do an amazing job they. managed to get her in straight away as she still had lugs in her fur chewing gum stook in her paws and over grown nails. “A fantastic find, Cat operates in a lovely manner in a beautiful salon where your dog gets treated exclusively and not caged unlike other groomers we have used. My dog ( miniature schnauzer) always looks fantastic and Cat talks through the detail of what has been done in fine detail. A delight to deal with and wish I had found her before. Definitely the best dog groomers I have used.”

“Cora is a pleasant, friendly person and loves her job and the dogs. When I got there with my Westie Mollie, we got a lovely welcome. Cora asked questions regarding Mollie’s age, health and temperament and how I would like her to be groomed. I have to admit Mollie looked a little too furry and rough before her grooming, but I have to say she looked and smelled amazing when I collected her. It was our first time there, but I promise it won’t be our last.”
