“This is one of three pubs that I know that is owned by the Holdens Brewery and is local to the black country. This place has been modernized to accommodate more visitors but the newly renovated leaded light Windows still fit the character of the old style pub. Holdens Brewery ales are well worth a try for real ale enthusiasts. Update I recently visited the pub and all the old style pub is gone inside and now is a one room bar come entertainment area and two large screen tv's and a platform for live music.”

“I ordered for takeaway as we were atayomg in a hotel nearby. Absolutely fantastic food, cooked to perfection as mentioned. Chef personally came out and went right through the order and did hand over. Really nice service, so pleased I ordered from here, butter chicken wa spiced up as requestex and chilli garlic fish was out of this world, one of the best I have ever had and so reasonably priced, We will comback for sure.”

“The Great Lion is finally open (formally the Desi Junction). Had a wonderful evening here. They have fully refurbished the inside and it looks amazing. So many different seating areas to choose from. I would say it is more of a restaurant and bar now, instead of a pub. I think there is seating for about 300 people to dine. There are loads of TV screens up, so will be great place to watch the football, cricket and other sports now in West Bromwich. There is also a new seating area out the back. Ordered a few different items off the menu and everything was freshly cooked and tasted delicious. They have put a large windows in so you can see straight into the kitchen, which is a nice touch. The service of the food and drinks was great and all the staff are friendly. Will definitely be visiting here again soon!”

“We love the food, always fresh and top quality. There’s no issues if you would like to swap something and the girls behind the bar are lovely, however the waitresses seem to change all the time and their English is limited. Plenty of parking on site. Modern interior and great atmosphere, couldn’t recommend more!!!!”

“I recently visited The Crown and Anchor, and it completely exceeded my expectations. From the moment I walked through the door the atmosphere was warm and inviting The staff were fantastic friendly attentive and quick with a smile. The drinks selection was excellent with a great range of local ales, crisp lagers, and a few craft options for good measure. “Took my family here and was happy to see they have a nice dining area separated from the pub area. I wasn't expecting much as I've had deliveries from here a few years ago which were just ok, but I was pleasantly surprised. Mixi was decent. It's a shame they open too late for lunch, but we had a nice dinner here. There was an ok beer selection to choose from.”

This time we decided to come pretty last minute, we booked last night for a table of 15 for today and they got us in no problems, and service was absolutely fantastic yet again. “What a lovely place to visit. The food was so authentic, you could hear it being prepared in the kitchen and you never heard the ping of a microwave. It was utterly delicious and very well priced. The landlord of the "Prince of Wales" was a lovely fellow who made us feel really welcome, and the locals were so friendly. I wish this was my local.”

“Had an amazing time at Redleaf Global Buffet! The food selection is massive, but the Indian street food section stole the show. The dosa was crispy and delicious, and the chicken tikka masala with naan was easily one of the best I’ve had at a buffet. The grilled items were full of flavor too – you can tell they put effort into everything. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and good value for money. Perfect spot if you want to try a bit of everything. Definitely recommend!”
