“Went for a birthday meal on Tuesday 25th June. We were seated upstairs. The staff were very friendly, warm and welcoming. The tapas dishes we had were all delicious especially the pork belly each dish were flavoursome had 6 dishes in total between the 2 of us. We also ordered pratas bravas, chorizo, harissa chicken, casa med salad and bread with balsamic and oil. It was very filling so had no room for desert. With the 15% it was well worth it. I was pleasantly surprised how much it was so I recommend going on a Tuesday. This is the place to go for a special occasion.”

“Superb. Food was spot on, mixed grill portions are big, great for sharing if you have sides with it. Very nice venue, staff are friendly, pints are decent, price is reasonable and the footys usually on. What more can you ask for?”

“Went on a christmas work do on Friday 28th. Paid just under £60 pp.. absolute bargain. Nice 3 course meal, drink on table plentiful.and free bar. Branded drinks too ...gordons pink Gin.. waitressing staff and bar staff very good and friendly.. had brilliant night. DJ wasnt the best he catered more for the younger audience despite being asked for 70s and motown”

“Very nice country pub which has been refurbished and is now under new management. The new team are very friendly and welcoming. The landlord can’t do enough for his customers, everything you ask for is ‘No Problem’. Great customer service. There's a nice log fire and a great selection of real ales at reasonable prices. The only down side is they only serve cold food, but it’s a good selection that goes particularly well with the traditional ales that are on sale. They take party bookings and will put on a buffet to suit the number of guests. I went with my family on Sunday afternoon and everybody enjoyed themselves. The food, drinks, service and atmosphere was great.”

“Visited for the first time yesterday for a late lunch. My friend and I chose the Lunchtime Menu, Although the selection is not huge, the dishes are quite interesting and different. Both our starters and our main courses were absolutely delicious. Service was friendly and attentive - and the bill not too bad at all. We'll definitely be returning!”

“Terrific carvery and a good range of meals on the menu to suit everyone. We have eaten here for both lunchtimes and evening meals and the carvery is superb. Very friendly and helpful staff. There is a large car park on site, but evenings can get busy. They do accept reservations, and you will be safer to secure your reservation to guarantee a table.”

“Found this hidden gem on a friend's recommendation, and despite its location, it totally exceeded my expectations! The breakfast here is fantastic - hearty and satisfying without being greasy like typical breakfast spots. The staff were really welcoming, though the atmosphere that day was a bit mixed due to some grumpy fellow diners - but hey, that's not the restaurant's fault! Great value and quality food - this place has definitely earned a spot on my regular breakfast rotation!”

“A very warm welcome from staff. Very busy but great atmosphere. Served by Lauren, who was courteous, friendly and efficient, with great customer skills. Nothing was too much trouble. She's a credit to the establishment. Food was served timely, presented well and was delicious, with attention to detail. It was a family birthday celebration, enhanced by a candle on the birthday girl's dessert. All in all, a great experience.”

Also got 4 pieces of focaccia, that whipped pork fat butter is insane!! 3 starters, 3 roasts, side of cauliflower cheese, half a pint of beer, pint of Coke Zero, and a gin and tonic with tap water was £125.”

“Spent 4 nights with my wife at this lovely pub we were attending a music festival down the road room was lovely and quiet the shower was great the bar downstairs was lovely ....only did rolls for food but that didnt matter would definately stsy again”

“Very cosy setting with lovely staff and customers ✨ I come in every couple of months when I want a chill evening with a cocktail and catch up. I hear all the events are good as well and can imagine it can have a great party vibe as well! “Well, what can I say? From the second we entered we were made to feel like regulars and friends by a fantastic young man. He recommended the seating to be comfortable because i am disabled and a real ale which was delicious. The food was amazing. Piping hot and great quality. I had the sea bass which was beautiful and came with 2 generous fillets and a king prawn sauce with loads of whole prawns in it! My brother in law and my sister had pork belly and 10oz rib eye. He said his was best pork he had ever had and my sis was over the moon with her steak although it was very slighty over medium, which she ordered but it wasnt an issue. All the veg was to die for, fresh and al dente with good bite. We chose the Swallows from a quick google dive for Pauls birthday and were so glad we did. Yes, it is a little more on the pricey side for us but in my book worth every penny especially for a treat. So a big thank you to the amazing staff and we will return.”

“I had a lovely time this afternoon. Mom and I went to the restaurant/cafe. The food was lovely, and the staff were very helpful. I had a cake to go, with I had at home with a nice cup of tea. My mother and I also bought some very nice chocolates from the on-site chocolate tear. I also enjoy seeing all glass objects at the glass blowing shop, the ceramics at the pottery shop, and some inspiration art in the art and craft shop. All in all, it was a very enjoyable afternoon.”
