βCommunication throughout was very good, without being too much, and message from engineer to advise he was on his way was ideal too. Engineer was very knowledgeable, thorough and friendly. Really pleased we switched to GST after having spent too long with a competitor who were not as good. Thanks allβ
βGreat micro pub, friendly atmosphere. Lovely selection of beers. Would recommend visit.β

βExcellent pub about 12 minutes walk from Tamworth Railway Station. Seven cask beers on handpump when I visited including two stouts. Lots of outdoor seating some of it covered. The lovely C16/part Tudor building is home to Tamworth Brewing Company and its tap. The cosy upstairs rooms have Tudor features and the historic courtyard beer terrace to the rear offers striking views of Tamworth Castle. The Tamworth Tap won the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) National Pub of the Year in both 2022 and 2023!β

Really friendly welcome from the owners, it has lots of very nice rooms all decorated nicely with chandeliers and arm chairs. Highly recommended, will definitely com back againβ
βGreat if you like an old style pub. It's for anyone that likes to check out a great selection of craft ales. Food consisted of a selection of cobs. We had amply filled cheese and onion. Very tasty. Very friendly and obliging staff.β
βGood local pub, cosy, good value. Very good restaurant above - El Toro. Steak based with a few other options. Definitely worth a drive as there are very few good restaurant options nearby. Large portions yet still good quality. Meat comes from the local butcher. Excellent wine. Not quite Michelin star but better than any other local restaurant we've been to.β

βCame across this hidden gem whilst in Tamworth the other day. The music and decor was so cool and individual. The manager was very welcoming and took the time to have a chat and recommend some of there delicious cocktails. The music really set a very cool atmosphere. Would definitely recommend. Will be returning.β
βWe haven't been here for quite some time but were SO pleased that there has been no decline in food, quality or service! Afternoon Tea is a real favourite of ours and we were not disappointed! Had a lovely selection of finger sandwiches, had to box some up so we had room for cake(s). The cakes can make or break an afternoon, we are cake based lifeforms, and my goodness we weren't disappointed. The most delicious huge piece of Pistachio & Rose Sponge, a huge Scone/Cream/Jam and a generous squidgy Chocolate Brownie. My husband managed Sponge & Scone but I was defeated at Sponge, a lightweight. Giving us another box to take home to enjoy at teatime tomorrow. Couldn't have chosen a nicer place to celebrate our anniversary and my first day out since surgery. Left feeling comfortably stuffed and in agreement we will be back much sooner next time.β

βCliffords Cafe in Polesworth : Where Time is a Suggestion βSeven out of Five Stars (The Scale Cannot Contain It) βIn an era dominated by artisanal sourdough and oat milk lattes served in reclaimed terracotta, Cliffords Cafe in Pol stands as a magnificent, defiant monument to the way things should be. This isn't just a cafΓ©; it's a sensory immersion into a highly specific version of coastal Britain, circa 1993, and we are blessed to be its devotees. βStepping into Cliffords is like being wrapped in a blanket woven from the aroma of frying bacon, damp dog, and industrial-strength floor polish. The atmosphere is less "curated aesthetic" and more "everything we've owned since 1985, artfully placed." The dΓ©cor is a stunning collision of plastic tablecloths (wiped clean with the dedication of a professional chef, yet retaining the ghosts of countless jam spills), mismatched mugs, and local notices thumbtacked over other, older local notices. βThe Architectural Marvel of the Toastie βThe menu here is a masterclass in clarity. There are no pretenders, no spiralized vegetables, and definitely no "deconstructed" anything. You are here for the classics, and Cliffords delivers them with the gravity of a papal decree. βThe Toastie, in particular, deserves its own monograph. It is not just toasted bread and cheese; it is a thermal insulation device, a pocket of molten dairy sealed into a crispy, golden rectangle. It demands a four-minute cool-down period before consumption, as the interior temperature is scientifically engineered to cauterize any latent dental issues. The chips are golden, plentiful, and retain a perfectly crisp exteriorβa triumph of frying oil technology. βService & Philosophy βThe service at Cliffords operates on a beautiful, Zen-like principle: "Itβll be ready when itβs ready, and not a moment before." This is not slow service; this is forced meditation. It encourages mindfulness, prompting you to truly appreciate the simple things, like the sound of the kettle boiling, or the sight of the same local fisherman reading the same local paper he was reading yesterday. When your mug of tea arrivesβa brew so robust it could probably strip wallpaperβyou feel a profound sense of accomplishment. βIf you require chrome finishes, silent service, or a charging port at every seat, you misunderstand the assignment. Cliffords Cafe is the real deal: a beacon of greasy, cozy, unpretentious perfection. Go, order the largest portion of something fried, and allow yourself to be transported. You'll leave feeling full, warm, and profoundly grateful for the lack of irony.β
βThese guys did a first class job of my xfs wheels at a fair price, will do business with them again!!β
βI came across this reclamation yard after trying several others which had proven successful in the past. Iβm so glad that I came across this particular one and Paul the lovely owner was amazing! They have such a wide variety of products. Ranging from blue/bullnose bricks, lots of bricks from 18th/19th century homes, original fireplaces with all the tiles intact, some stunning chimney tops a long with a lot more. P.s. the nicest dog on site too! Itβs 16 miles away from me but I would be more than happy to drive all the way back. Lovely products and great service :)β
βDon't leave reviews generally but used CR this morning and had to comment on the excellent work done, free advise given and the excellent waiting area. Chris, Heidi and team were top class and refreshing to find a business that are friendly engaging and not looking for a quick buck, a rare find these days.β
