“OMG what lovely,friendly and helpful people. My car sustained a bang from another driver over 3 weeks ago. Fix Auto helped me arrange a hire car whilst mine was in for repair. They helped me with the insurance claim and even took a look at the tyres as i thought they had been damaged by pot holes. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they even offered to bring my car back to my door (i didn't take them up on the offer but what thoughtful people, i live in Tamworth not exactly local to them). Highly recommend if you have car or van issues. Thankyou to ALL at Fix Auto from reception staff to mechanics. Keep up the good work.”

“Room was pristine, bumped into the housekeeper as I was checking in and she made sure I had everything I needed. The hotel is attached to a charming country style pub with amazing food and fantastic staff. The location is on a busy road but also a 5 minute bus from the town centre which was a beautiful place to spend the day and has lots of local amenities. I would recommend this hotel to a person travelling alone or as a couple for a peaceful retreat as the location has fantastic transport links all over the country.”

“We had a lovely time thank you. We went for the Tom Shepherd Best Ever pie and it didn’t disappoint. Our server, Toni, was friendly and helpful and gave recommendations when asked and helped source my elderly mother a smaller meal via the children’s menu. We have only been here before years ago for my brothers birthday. My brother used the pub regularly. To be honest I don’t know why we haven’t used it more. Maybe we will now. Thanks to all. The food and service were great.”

“My wife and I visited the store in Litchfield on Sunday 04-05-2025 and we were allowed to walk around and look at and try a number of pieces of furniture for the comfort experience. The lady who was there was very helpful and eventually we decided to buy the Modena N8625 two seater power leg sofa which we found was ideal for our requirements, even better there was a 20% discount on this particular item which made the afternoon even better. I have no hesitation in recommending HSL based on our experience with your helpful staff and the quality of the products you have to offer. Thank you”

“Proper pub. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Good choice of beers and gins. Food is not always available, but sometimes there are cobs. Crisps are on offer.”

“Quiet when we went on a Monday afternoon. Lovely beer garden with enough shade to protect customers from the hot sun. Toilet facilities are really nice. Pub gets really busy at weekends and evenings, so be prepared to stand and wait for a while to be served. Excellent Real ale selection. Dog friendly in bar area and beer garden.”

“I have been in a couple of times on Mondays since the new landlady has taken over. I have to say what a great warm, welcoming experience it has been. It is very friendly with a community atmosphere. They do bar snacks, various rolls, pork pie slices and hot drinks. Rolls were very nice and went well with the excellent hand pulled beers on offer. There is also a dartboard and other games available.”
