“A proper pub that hasn't changed in many many years and is all the better for it. No gimmicks or karaoke nights , simply a place for conversation and good beer. The outdoor seating is plentiful but on can be very busy on the odd hot sunny day that we get. Plus there is now a mobile handmade pizzeria at the side of tad beer garden. So that's good beer , seating & food covered.... nothing else required. Enjoy.”

“Group of us went in yesterday, only downside was music was loud ,really loud but they had pre-warned us that a birthday party was in so not a major issue. Beer spot on, staff friendly and efficient although we had to shout our orders. Food awesome, the best mixed grill I’ve had in years, everything was tasty cooked to perfection and tender and less than £16 quid added a pepper sauce which was a bit runny but still tasty. “We went on a Wednesday evening with friends on Wednesday. Two of us had the Tapas offers and our friends had a spicy curry sharing plate. The food was brilliant and the service was attentive. The bill came to £71 for all four including drinks. We left £80. Superb value at £20 per head. Tremendous!”

“I wanted to update my previous review to say how impressed I am with how Square Apple handled my concern. My first order was far too spicy, even though I’d asked for it to be mild, and I was left quite disappointed. However, the owner personally reached out with a thoughtful and sincere response, offered both a refund and a complimentary meal, and even explained how to request the lamb chops washed of the spice.. I followed that suggestion this time, and the meal was absolutely delicious, tender, perfectly seasoned, and just right for my taste. Mistakes can happen, but how a business responds makes all the difference. Square Apple showed true professionalism and care, and I really appreciate the way they handled everything. I’ll definitely be ordering again.”

The staff here are so lovely, the all you can eat is so so well priced at 21 pounds per person and its not a buffet, its all cooked fresh to order, the beef was perfectly tender, not even a single piece was chewy and all of the food was absolutely delicious. No wonder its reservation only.”
