“A proper pub that hasn't changed in many many years and is all the better for it. No gimmicks or karaoke nights , simply a place for conversation and good beer. The outdoor seating is plentiful but on can be very busy on the odd hot sunny day that we get. Plus there is now a mobile handmade pizzeria at the side of tad beer garden. So that's good beer , seating & food covered.... nothing else required. Enjoy.”

“Just had an unplanned visit here after breaking down on the main road outside. Pleasantly surprised by this lovely little pub. Great selection of food and drinks (alcoholic and non). Lovely friendly bar staff. Prices seem reasonable. Decent (although a little on the small side) toilets with deodorant/hairspray etc in-very nice touch, especially on such a warm day! Quick food service, greatly appreciated!! Thank you :)”

“This stay was part of a road trip staying in similar ancient coaching inns. This one definitely had a more modern feel to it. The room was to a high standard and the bed was the comfiest on the trip. Breakfast was excellent. The bar is cosy and a nice place to pass a few hours. Car park was fun! But if you can get parked it is free. Great location. Staff were all great.”

“Visited here tonight with some work friends for a Christmas meal - haven't been in the pub for a few years but impressed with the renovations. We all ate from the Christmas menu - the food was fantastic with all 3 courses. Tables around us were eating from the normal menu and what they had looked delicious. Great service from staff too. “We had a fantastic time at The Old White Beare in Norwood Green. It’s a beautiful, characterful pub with a really cosy atmosphere and a proper village feel. The staff were friendly, attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent – generous portions, well cooked and nicely presented. Our mains were full of flavour and the desserts were the perfect finish. Great choice of drinks too, with plenty of beers, wines and spirits to pick from. Loved the relaxed vibe and the comfortable seating areas, both inside and out. It’s the kind of place you can happily spend an afternoon in. We’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend The Old White Beare to anyone looking for a quality pub meal in a lovely setting.”

“I wanted to update my previous review to say how impressed I am with how Square Apple handled my concern. My first order was far too spicy, even though I’d asked for it to be mild, and I was left quite disappointed. However, the owner personally reached out with a thoughtful and sincere response, offered both a refund and a complimentary meal, and even explained how to request the lamb chops washed of the spice.. I followed that suggestion this time, and the meal was absolutely delicious, tender, perfectly seasoned, and just right for my taste. Mistakes can happen, but how a business responds makes all the difference. Square Apple showed true professionalism and care, and I really appreciate the way they handled everything. I’ll definitely be ordering again.”
