“First time here today. Had the big English breakfast. It was faultless. Excellent quality, good portions, not oily, hot toast and hot plates. Added tea ( proper pot) and coffee and black pudding. Service was perfect, helpful, friendly. Staff super friendly and kind to everyone. The menu choice is great, from breakfasts to cooked lunches, sandwiches, baguettes, jacket Spuds, etc. Could not fault this place, people or food.”

“The coffees the baristas make at Kingsway are bang on every time. It’s obvious they take the time and care each time they pour to get the right consistency and temperature of the milk (which is rare!!). There is a lot of competition around Hove for good coffee, but Kingway is coming out on top each time for me. I’ve got a Gail’s at the other end of my road, and let’s just say I walk that extra bit further for one of these banging oat flat whites each time… Very pleased to have you in hove guys!”

“We had a all day rider from a virgin experience and it was a brilliant day out. Just sit back and imagine yourself in the days gone by when steam locomotives were everywhere. The amount of work that has gone into the restoration of the trains and stations is unbelievable. Everything has been built, designed and styled perfectly. Even the staff were dressed in immaculate period clothing. The trains looked great and sounded great. We went from Sheffield park to east Grinstead and went to town for lunch. On the way back you can get off at all the stations and explore the stations, picnic areas, museums and buildings. Sheffield park seems to be the main one and had a lovely museum. The day is what you make it. If you just want the ride the fine but if you explore a bit further then you will discover so much history. The pulling coaches looked so stylish. Halloween and Xmas events are in the diary.”

“Lovely food & service. Greeted & looked after from the start. Free selection of dips & bread plus a little pide for the table before taking order for the main. We had a large table of 12 & food was delicious & consistent. Table given Turkish delight at the end as well.”

The eye tests were carried out very professionally by both members of staff and the optometrist could not have been more relaxing and excellent. “A unique place with a great food and drink menu and a lovely vibe! I only stopped in for a quick bite to eat for breakfast, and I had a blast. I had the healthy brunch bowl, where everything was well cooked and seasoned, and as a non-vegan, still thoroughly enjoyed it and wouldn’t have said anything was missing. The chunky avocado was a great touch too, way better than the mushy stuff. To drink I had the health elixir - or in normal terms, a honey, lemon, tumeric and ginger tea. Fresh and vibrant, it was perfectly sweet and spicy, and very delicious indeed. The vibes in the place are spot on, being friendly and welcoming like the staff, and the decor is just fabulous with all the random vintage bits and bobs around the place. They offer cakes too, but it’s the large food selection, creative and tasty, and extensive drinks options, especially teas, which makes this place stand out!”

“We went here for a coffee and a cake while we waited for the car having a mot at Mr MOT which was just a minute or two walk from here. A great place to relax while you stress over the car, or on any other day you feel like a coffee. Friendly staff, the iced latte was really nice and the cakes are a nice temptation. “I love this cafe. Can be difficult to get a seat due to its popularity. But I can't say anything bad about it. The smashed avocado with poached eggs, crispy bacon, sourdough toast and pimenton is unbelievable and possibly one of my favourite breakfasts/brunches. I definitely recommend”

“We have been taking our dog to Cherry Tree for a few years now and we can’t be more satisfied. Whether it’s daycare, short stay or a 2-week stay, our dog is always happy to go and comfortable. During our last holiday the staff was so nice to send us some pictures of him when we asked. He gets all the walks, socialisation, treats and cuddles that he needs to have a happy stay. Everyone is great with dogs and they really care for them. For us it’s surely piece of mind while we’re away. Thank you!”
