“My wife and myself had a wonderful wine tasting today with Ben. I emailed Novel Wines before Christmas asking about a Wine Tasting on a Sunday and Ben replied confirming they were closed on Sundays but said he might be able to get someone to conduct the tasting anyway. This was incredibly generous of him and I booked the wine tasting up. We had the tasting today and I have to say it's the best we have ever had. Ben is knowledgeable and personable. There were no awkward moments at all and we got to taste 6 different wines as well as a delicious dessert wine. We ended up buying 4 bottles as they were so good. I would highly recommend Novel Wines if you are in the area and fancy a fun wine tasting.”

“What a treat this was, bought as a gift for my birthday last year, finally we decided that was long enough. A fantastic experience, with a fantastic host. All of the chosen wines and cheeses were simply delicious, as were the accompaniments. Thoroughly recommend this experience. We would love to go back and do it all again. 10/10”

“The guys there, Steve and Stu, really know their stuff. They carry nearly all the juices I've ever heard off, and loads I haven't. They also have loads of testers available to try. They also have a wide range of mods, batteries, chargers, coils and coil building sets. Basically everything you could need. Nicely laid out shop with everything you could need regarding vaping all under 1 roof. And their prices are really good. Next time I'm in I'll take some pics to post as it's really cool inside. “Stokes is a miracle of Moorland road. Having lived in the area all my life stokes has been a true winner in recent years. Wonderful fruit and veg, as well as loads of ingredients which are harder to find elsewhere. I have now moved away and relish a chance to visit every time I am back.”

“The way food should be!! Just such an amazing lunch on our second and equally amazing visit. The menu was varied and interesting and really shows what plant based cuisine can be. The sourdough ice cream was interesting, not my personal preference, but really enjoyed getting to try it. Thanks all Also the bread is the best around!!”

“Cleo and Meg were friendly, helpful and gave me lots of info and advice. With their help I successfully purchased an LED to replace an old fluorescent tube, and, as they advised, it was very easy for me to fit. And they happily disposed of the old tube for me too! Am very pleased, thank you!”

“This shop is brilliant, and super well kept, I was impressed with the range of items available and the presence of some more niche ingredients you may otherwise be hard pushed to find. Prices are fair and on the mark with (at a glance) many being cheaper than supermarkets. On a personal level I liked seeing full shelves, products faced up properly and generally a clean and tidy environment. Even the dude on the counter bothering to say hello was a nice touch. Myself and fellow chef will certainly be back. Keep up the great work, hopefully you will indeed be friends forever :)”

“One of my favourite places to shop, for snacks, ingredients on the upper floors. (Especially Konjac and Gluten/bean curd snacks) Your best go to for affordable tasty food! Extremely helpful staff who will guide you towards anything you're looking for, please visit, expand your platter!”

“We booked a wine tasting at the Majestic pn Bath Rd and Massi was our sommelier for the evening. He was really knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. He put us at ease and answered all of our questions, not matter how basic they were. I described the types of wine I liked over the phone before arriving and he picked us a perfect selection. Despite another member of staff being off sick, Massi handled all the customers inc us well and we came away very happy. The store front is a bit rundown but there is a bus stop right outside which is ideal.”

“Attended private view here of local artist Eric Gabb and his daughter Alex. Fabulous paintings, & nice small space for displaying art work. Very friendly & attentive bar staff - tables & chairs were a bit close to the walls for easy viewing but overall a lovely venue. Eric and Alex's exhibition runs af Burdall's Yard until 12th May and is well worth a visit.”
