“I happened upon this place one day and am now a regular. The food is so fresh, tasty and such good value it really is a credit to the owner. The staff are super friendly and will even offer a sample if you are unsure of the menu. This is one of the best places in Bristol and highly recommended.”
“What a hidden little gem! Such friendly staff and most authentic Thai dishes! Highly recommended!”
“Absolutely loved their Maritozzi. I wanted to eat this for so long. Finally found it. A bit costly but absolutely fresh and yum. I went there around 9AM so I got to see a tray full of deliciousness. Loved it. Really close to university. Service is great. Friendly staffs.”
“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely love this coffee shop! It's incredibly cozy with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to stay for hours. The staff are super friendly and make you feel right at home. Definitely my new favorite spot for a relaxing break or catching up with friends!”
“Had a lovely time, came here after visiting Gloucester Road, again matched a similar vibe really nice place to come for lunch. Staff were lovely and coffee was delicious, i will definitely visit again”
“We had Turkish coffee, Baklava and Turkish delights: very flavourful, and the Baklava was one of the best I've ever had (and not too sweet). We loved the atmosphere, lovely service and it's such a beautiful little shop. Highly recommend, it was a great surprise!”
“My friends and I were frequenting the local parkrun in Cwmbran. It was a cold and damp and winter's day. On arrival we were greeted by friendly staff and a lovely natural heat from the wood burners. The atmosphere was welcoming and the coffee and pancakes which I had were both delightful. It is slightly more expensive than your usual cafe, but I'd say it was worth every penny.”
“One of my favourite places in Bristol - a very cozy cafe with delicious coffee and cakes. The staff are delightful. Good to see a business with a conscience, boycotting products that support violence and genocide. A great place to get ground coffee for home use too.”
“I had the most lovely afternoon tea (the special Valentine’s weekend edition) at Ashwell & Co! The space is a perfect mix of vintage eclectic and tea room, great music for ambiance, and the food was lovely! I go to many afternoon teas (it’s a bit of an obsession) so I have pretty high expectations at this point. I liked, since they only serve vegetarian sandwiches, that you get a lighter change of pace from traditional tea sandwiches, but the sweets are really the stars. The scone was so lovely, one of the better I’ve had in a while, homemade clotted cream and delicious moist cakes. To top it all off the price is incredibly reasonable for the food and service experience! Excited to come back in the future.”
“Friendly welcoming staff, great coffee & nice atmosphere x”
“Lovely little coffee cabin stop off in Lower Clifton, with outside seating. Friendly staff. Delicious coffee. All dietary needs catered for.”
“Was driving past the other day at lunchtime, so we stopped off for a coffee and a bite to eat, and what a great little place, nice coffee, nice choice of sandwiches and a tasty selection of cakes, with friendly staff, happy to recommend and revisit”
“Tucked away between office buildings is a gem of a spot. The full English breakfast was great. I particularly liked the AMAZINGLY crispy hash browns. The standard breakfast was under a tenner which is a bonus! Also had a biscoff cookie pie - lovely balance of flavours (some can just be pure sugar, this actually had flavour). We will be going back.”
“Absolutely love! One of the best cafes in Bristol. Conflicted between wanting it to remain a hidden gem but also wanting to tell EVERYONE about this amazing cafe!! Would 100% recommend. Great coffee (especially the flat whites!) and brunch is delicious. Friendly, calm atmosphere too.”
“Local favourite venue. Excellent coffee, great food, slightly expensive. We paid £25 for two flat whites, a wrap and pulled pork with chips. Biker's hang out, mostly older guys, not too noisy. Recently expanded and much bigger than was. Lots of outdoor seating when it's nice. About 20 car parking spaces. OK weekdays but likely to be full at weekends. Enjoy!”
“Nice air conditioned cafe, friendly staff, cake half price at the end of the day!”
“Beautiful gardens, lovely cafe, fun grottos. Lots of soothing running water inside and out. Do visit before they close for good at the end of September. Such a shame they're closing ❤️”
“Lovely small cafe with a really nice vibe. Some gentle latin music playing in the background on a rainy day having a coffee somehow felt quite perfect. I tried the piccolo and it was well made and tasty. Not a huge range of coffees if you’re looking for lots of variety but they have a nice house blend and a guest espresso (and a decaf option). Some outdoor seating too if the weather is nice”
“A cosy coffee house that serves up absolutely gorgeous coffee! With options of what coffee rbase you want, to give the flavour you exactly want in your drink. It’s a lovely setting with inviting and welcoming staff who are extremely personable as well as skilled at making coffee! If you’re ever in Bristol, this lovely Pro Palestinian place deserves your custom. Enjoy a freshly made coffee in the old town, enjoying life walk on by.”
“You know a cafe is good when there is a queue! Fortunately we only waited 10 minutes to be seated. The food was delicious, service was speedy and the price was very competitive. The pistachio latte was incredible, as was all the food. Can highly recommend.”
“Since having my daughter I've been here quite regularly for the baby/kids activities and we also go the mums meet up which is on every Tuesday. My daughter is a huge fan of the outdoor toys and the indoor climbing frame. The food and drink is always really nice and served with a friendly smile. It can sometimes be very busy and loud, but I'm glad I found it none the less!”
“Visited here for first time after doing the Severn Bridge parkrun. What a delightful coffee shop. The coffee and cheesecake I had was perfect and the service and smiles from the ladies serving me were lovely too. Will definitely visit here again if ever do the parkrun again.”
“I had the leek and feta pie on the shop owner's recommendation—absolutely delicious! The crust was crispy and flaky, while the filling was warm and flavorful. The shop owner was lovely, and they offer a student discount on bakery items. 10/10 totally recommend!”
“One of my favourite places. Been coming here while I've been attending the Dental school nearby for some work. A mocha is only £2.60, made from beautiful chocolate blossoms/real choc. I've enjoyed trying new varieties of coffee and getting one to take away in my travel flask. I particularly enjoy trying the monthly special blend, and getting some to take home (ground to order for my home espresso machine) has also been very special. I wish I lived in Bristol!”
“Hands down my favourite coffee shop in Bristol. Incredible coffee (in particular the cold brew), with always lovely service. The atmosphere is inviting and unique. It's nice having a coffee shop that cares about their coffee, while also being inviting and having options for non-coffee people. I love to bring friends and family here, it's very special to me.”
“The food was incredible and we will be back! I recommend it to anyone who wants authentic Italian food. The staff are friendly and welcoming and I was able to practice my Italian. I was really happy with our meal”
“A very friendly cafe for a group of 10 hungry cyclists on a Sunday morning. Good selection of cakes and hot breakfast, served quickly and with a smile. We will be back.”
“Went to the tea shop for lunch today. Looked small at first glance and we had our dog but the ladies serving said they were dog friendly and we could take her up the stairs where there was extra seating. It was lovely and quaint and the food was fresh and top quality. They even bought treats for the dog with our lunch. The kids had cocoa art on their hot chocolate and there was crayons and stencils for them to create pictures whilst we waited for our food. Nothing was too much trouble. They were really friendly and asked about our holiday so far. Would highly recommend the scones my husband ended up having two cream teas they were so tasty.”
“Lovely location serving Great food & Cakes including Gluten Free choices and excellent coffee highly recommend”
“The best vegetarian food: healthy, colorful, varied and tasty, in a fun setting!”
