Being new to coffee it was just so cool to get this varied variety of beans to try ! The staff were always lovely and helpful and great to chat to! Always very helpful in answering questions on all things coffee :))”

“Lovely small cafe with a really nice vibe. Some gentle latin music playing in the background on a rainy day having a coffee somehow felt quite perfect. I tried the piccolo and it was well made and tasty. Not a huge range of coffees if you’re looking for lots of variety but they have a nice house blend and a guest espresso (and a decaf option). Some outdoor seating too if the weather is nice”

“I often pop in for coffee and cake - both are delicious, and it is a lovely, relaxed venue with great staff. This week, I popped in at lunchtime and ordered a BLT. BLT? Should have been called an OMG! It was the tastiest sandwich I have ever had. Can't recommend the place highly enough!”

“Mother Hen is a great asset to the village of Wrington. The welcome is warm, the food is great, and the ice cream superb. As an ex-cyclist, I can confirm that my kind can sniff out a good cake and coffee stop like bloodhounds. Anywhere they congregate is a sign of a good stop. I can also confirm that cyclists are frequent visitors here—testament to this little village jewel!”

“Visited here for first time after doing the Severn Bridge parkrun. What a delightful coffee shop. The coffee and cheesecake I had was perfect and the service and smiles from the ladies serving me were lovely too. Will definitely visit here again if ever do the parkrun again.”

“Was finding somewhere to eat around East Street and didn't fancy anywhere. I remembered The Toast Room, which I'd never been but the exterior is memorable to me for its lovely turquoise paint and wooden sign. I chose a salad plate and it was so delicious and flavourful! I rarely choose salad (I feel it's too boring) but this was excellent - I'm not sure what it all was but it had delicious spiced chipotle butter beans as well as green beans (usually boring again, right) but these were so tasty and citrusy! And some sweet, crunchy red cabbage slaw-type stuff, as well as some spiced houmous. I savoured it all and it only cost £5.50 and was actually very filling! Highly recommend! “A cosy coffee house that serves up absolutely gorgeous coffee! With options of what coffee rbase you want, to give the flavour you exactly want in your drink. It’s a lovely setting with inviting and welcoming staff who are extremely personable as well as skilled at making coffee! If you’re ever in Bristol, this lovely Pro Palestinian place deserves your custom. Enjoy a freshly made coffee in the old town, enjoying life walk on by.”

“I wouldn't consider myself a coffee snob but I've had lots of coffee around Bristol and this is by far the best! Had an Iced Oat Latte with Honduran Coffee, super smooth and perfect on the scorcher of a day it was. We didn't eat there but know the bakery they source their Vegan bakes from (Forest Bakery) and can say without doubt it would have been delicious. First visit, very impressed, will certainly be coming back.”

“Hands down my favourite coffee shop in Bristol. Incredible coffee (in particular the cold brew), with always lovely service. The atmosphere is inviting and unique. It's nice having a coffee shop that cares about their coffee, while also being inviting and having options for non-coffee people. I love to bring friends and family here, it's very special to me.”

“Bolted on to the side of St Stephen’s church it looks like a soup kitchen. Don’t let this fool you. It is “little Spain!” Don’t miss this authenticity food. The best tortilla, huevos and the best Burnt Basque cheesecake that you will ever taste. We will be back.”

“Went to the tea shop for lunch today. Looked small at first glance and we had our dog but the ladies serving said they were dog friendly and we could take her up the stairs where there was extra seating. It was lovely and quaint and the food was fresh and top quality. They even bought treats for the dog with our lunch. The kids had cocoa art on their hot chocolate and there was crayons and stencils for them to create pictures whilst we waited for our food. Nothing was too much trouble. They were really friendly and asked about our holiday so far. Would highly recommend the scones my husband ended up having two cream teas they were so tasty.”

“So pleased to have found this superb little cafe, a stone's throw from the railway station. On the opposite side of the road to the main footfall, I think this may miss out on the custom it deserves. Generous and delicious light lunches put together with care using fresh and ripe ingredients. And as for the excellent range of home-made cakes baked on site, these are second to none. Definitely recommend that people cross at the traffic lights near asda and give this delightful place a try, they won't be disappointed.”

“What. A. Gem. This is a wonderful little cafe with great food and exceptional staff. We both had a veggie breakfast (a lot on the plate- there's 3 sausages hiding under that toast!) and a chai latte - for those who don't like coffee or want something different to tea. We got some cake to take away too and they were super tasty. Highly recommended.”

“Had a perfect cappucino, i know sounds silly but the amount of places that make it like a latte, so here is a proper coffee house that know how to deliver your coffee. We also had an amazing banana cake. The food coming out looked amazing too. If i lived here i would be in everyday. Well worth a visit. Lots of sitting inside.”

“Local favourite venue. Excellent coffee, great food, slightly expensive. We paid £25 for two flat whites, a wrap and pulled pork with chips. Biker's hang out, mostly older guys, not too noisy. Recently expanded and much bigger than was. Lots of outdoor seating when it's nice. About 20 car parking spaces. OK weekdays but likely to be full at weekends. Enjoy!”

“Beautiful chilled shop and cafe. Very helpful owners. Full of everything you could need and if you’ve forgotten a container they have a container library. I could spend hours in this shop. Everything from washing powder to peanut butter.”

“My 18 month old lived the open play/ soft play sessions. Lots for them to explore in a safe closed environement and a baby room too. Lovely restaurant cafe area and doesn’t cost an arm and a leg (like other toddler activities)”

“Really enjoyed my fitting with Joe, we looked at numerous irons and shafts, he clearly explained the lofts, lie angles etc… and we found an iron that really suited my swing. Would highly recommend a club fitting with him”
