“In August this year, I visited Hobbs on Milsom Street to buy a smart black dress for my Father's funeral ( having failed to find anything but flimsy summer dresses elsewhere on the High Street!) The reason for this review is not for the clothes (we know Hobbs clothes are well-made and fit great) but for the service I received, especially at such a sad time. Michele was wonderful - such a kind lady, willing to help, advise, fetch other options and just listen. She made me feel like I was her only customer that morning, with none of the 'hard sell' you might get elsewhere. I felt smart at the funeral, that I did my Dad proud. I told the funeral guests the story behind my dress, and the wonderful Michele, when they complimented my dress. Thank you!”

Although we were charged the under 16's rate of 8.50 which to me seemed a little expensive considering he only had a trim with the scissors. But i was happy to pay as they were such lovely people and done a fantastic job. Just think price for young children should be a little lower.”

“went in this place for the first time ever on tuesday 13th may (i haven’t been in portishead for long) and the staff were just absolutely fantastic. i have never been to any other shop or place with the staff as lovely as the ladies there. the customer service is impeccable and the whole experience was just amazing! very friendly and smiley and just great fun to chat with! can’t wait for my next visit”

“Despite wanting a longer massage there was only a 30 minute slot available as I called on the day. I’m so glad I took it! I have a bad back and chose a hot stones massage. It was incredibly soothing and felt as though it helped more than all the other things I’ve tried (chiro, osteo, physio, acupuncture). Everything else seemed to inflame it but this felt perfect for me. Gabriella kept checking that I was happy with the pressure and despite it being a short time window, really relaxed me. I had excellent experience with both Paul and George; difficult to choose who to visit as both are equally good. They are always good at giving suggestions, but follow customers' wishes. A drink is always offered and the salon never feels hectic, which sometimes happens in other salons. Just had another haircut by James, a very skilled and friendly hairdresser. Neri really knows her stuff, and is so patient with both me and the trainees. I’ve have left both experiences with so much knowledge on how to take care of my nails! All of the trainees that I have met were amazing, and obviously taught well.
