“A lovely mix of woodland paths, formal gardens and a maze of garden'rooms' in different styles. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would bring the grandchildren next time as they would love the space to run and explore. The lovely cafe facilities were much enjoyed along with the book shop facilities. A great place for a day out.”

“Lovely place to visit, the weather was great on the day and we all enjoyed it. We were able to walk to Watch Tower Bay and back through Knap Gardens before the tide came in. It was a lovely place to have a picnic and take pictures, the Pebble Beach on the other side of the walkway was just fantastic and the scenery quite exquisite. I wish I could have experienced sunset, I can only imagine how beautiful it would look. There's always a next time I guess, one thing I remember noticing was the air.was so crisp and clean and it was really relaxing and refreshing. I would highly recommend a visit if you are in the area, it is well worth the time. Parking might be a bit of an issue but we got there a bit early and were able to park quite close. Don't be put off though as there are still some side roads within walking distance that have no parking restrictions.”

“We parked down the Knap and walked around. We sat on a bench while the children played tag on the grass for a while before we walked back the way we came. It's a lovely area to come and sit to have a chat while your children play. This area also looks great for picnics and to use with scooters and bikes. I would highly recommend this as a place to take tour children.”

“We have seen our daughter thrive in this kind, caring and stimulating environment. Everything is age-appropriate for the children, and not target-based. The emphasis is on creating an environment where each child can reach his or her full potential in a non-pressured, play-based way. After all, play behaviour evolved for the purpose of learning. The child's development is thought of as a whole, rather than concentrating on one particular aspect. Our daughter benefits greatly from the multi-cultural understanding within the school, where everybody brings something of value to the mix. She is brimming over with creativity, which has been actively encouraged by her Steiner education.”

“I remember coming here with my dad in the 70s and it's as good today as it was then. I called in for some brass screws that I couldn't find anywhere else. They had exactly what I wanted and it wasn't at all expensive. Old school, and all the better for it!”

“This is an amazing park right in the centre of Cardiff with lots to see and it's very peaceful for a walk in the evening. There's plenty to do from adult fitness to a visitor centre to checking out the interpretive signs about the trees and wildlife. This was a great find and a must-see for anybody in Cardiff”

Great service by the host, couldn't have been any friendlier and warm, and the room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Also, the value for money is impeccable, I'd certainly recommend this place, and I look forward to returning!”
