“First time visiting Bragu Cafe. Ordered the maxi breakfast, kids breakfast, English tea & a Nutella hot chocolate. Food was delicious, especially the spicy sausage & chicken bacon. Everything was cooked to perfection & I'm very particular about how my food's cooked. Modern clean interior, reasonably priced food & drink and good customer service. Will definitely be back!”

“Found this place by accident and so glad we did. My granddaughter and I had a faultless lunch. My granddaughter, who is a tuna melt toastie expert, said it was the best one ever. In fact she had two! The dirty chips were amazing as well. The staff are so friendly and helpful, felt as if we knew them already. Thank you and we will be back soon.”

“We’ve had such a great afternoon at Poro.I never leave a review but wanted to tonight as I picked up as soon as I walked in that the staff were brilliant ,the atmos was lovely and cozy and that we were in for a lovely evening. The food was fantastic and the Gluten free options were plenty and thoughtful. What made it for us was the staff. They were so tentative, and timing was impeccable…. We never had to ask for anything… they were on it. I will definitely be back again and will recommend to friends and family. A perfect afternoon. Thank You”

“Lovely place to visit. It's only a smallish pier easy to walk to end and back. The pier is beautifuly looked after and well maintained, public toilets on the pier were clean and well maintained. “We visited yesterday and I had the poached eggs on sourdough bread. I have to say these poached eggs were the best I have ever tasted in my life. They were cooked to absolute perfection. The yolks were perfect, just the right consistency and totally delicious. I'm not a great fan of the white preferring the yolk, but these whites were delicious too. The addition of the sourdough bread as opposed to ordinary bread added to the taste also. I don't know how your chef made this simple meal so exquisite, but please pass on my compliments to him/her. My husband enjoyed his omelette too. Will be back!”

“So it turns out that there’s more than one of these cafes and this one is great too. Location is fantastic on the corner of Victoria Park and the corner position is ideal for catching some sun on a nice day. Food and coffee is excellent with the savoury Welsh cakes being a signature option here and at the Roath location. Really friendly staff - shout out to Robin for a lovely conversation with my breakfast. They also had posters up for Dirty Gnocchi doing evening food there, so we will definitely be back for that. Unexpected in this location but definitely recommended. There’s also parking outside, which is at a premium in this area.”

“I’ve been looking forward to having lunch and trying out Vietnamese Bahn Mi! The servers were friendly and recommended to me Cinnamon Egg Coffee instead of cocoa (because it was already sweet) and I appreciate that because it was my first time trying the egg coffee. There was no black sugar pearl boba - next time! The Bahn Mi was yummy - baguette times by 10. Had all my favourite tastes like spicy tang, fried tofu, packed with veggies and the bread wasn’t stale or too soft. I opted for the vegan tofu as I have a halal diet and personally prefer vegan food over food that I’m not 100% sure is permissible for me to eat. Next time I’ll bring a friend ❤️”

“I have read the recent negative review and cannot disagree more. My wife and I come to The Clarence most days of the week and find it to be clean, the staff are very accommodating and pleasant; nothing appears to be too much trouble and the food is very good. The park itself is lovely and it just goes to show you cannot please all of the people all of the time.”

“Had my daughters 5th Birthday Party here, absolutely amazing service from start to finish. Everything was done so beautifully, they were very helpful and nothing was too much. They done everything to make sure the day ran smoothly. Couldn't recommend them enough.”

“Recently taken over by a new owner and there’s a clear improvement. Service is quicker, food is decent, and prices are reasonable compared to similar cafés in the area. Portions are good and everything came out hot and well cooked. Worth trying again if you haven’t visited for a while.”

“Stayed for the weekend with friends and family in 2 separate lodges. Staff could not be helpful enough when called upon and very friendly. This place is totally hidden away and a breath of fresh air considering its only a stones throw from the busy M5. There are several choices of accommodation which are all spotless, we'll equipped and nicely spaced apart from each other. For those that love the water ,canoes, kayaks and paddle boarding is made easy with a lovely wide calm stretch of river to explore, if that's not enough they also have we'll instructed archery and axe throwing. We had 12 adults in our group who all said we'd return again. Great stay ,many thanks to all the staff.”

“We had our daughters 3rd birthday here this morning. Everything was perfect! The children’s areas were spotless and everything was organised when we arrived. The table and decorations ( I chose unicorn ) was already laid out beautifully. We couldn’t have asked for more, I felt that all the staff were totally dedicated to ensuring my daughter , her friends and family were totally catered for and that this was her special day. Good food options , cooked fresh and served on a lovely party table. Staff were extremely attentive and continually supported and helped me throughout the party. Staff were relaxed and friendly but also completely professional and everything ran like clockwork. I would recommend to anyone , especially for six and under who want a party where the children can play but mums and dads can still relax with a coffee knowing the little ones are close and safe. Fantastic party ! Thank you to everyone today who made our daughter’s birthday so special.”

“Since costa on albany road closed I have been on the odd occasion popping into Coffee#1 across the road and Its such a cozy and welcoming coffee shop, Theres a lovely girl with brown hair and glasses and a tallish man with brown hair too (Didn’t get to catch her name) I spoke to both were so helpful and wonderful and the girl who took my order was cheerful and always had a smile on her face, She was really helpful and told be about their seasonal beans (although i did opt for the regular one) She even brought the drink over to me which was an amazing tasting coffee! and has a little chat before going back to work. If anyone is in the area I really do recommend coming here as the staff are really friendly and helpful and the environment is overall really welcoming!”

“Fabulous breakfast! Their fried eggs on sour dough was very really good as well as thee Penidict w mushrooms. Had a nice Shakshuka with arabic bread, perfect. Their milk base coffee drinks and tea were super. The staff was so friendly, and the overall atmosphere and people was something, loved all.”
