“Best Chinese in Newport. Been going here since they first opened, I love there Chinese food but the English version of chicken peas gravy and chips is outstanding, pity they stopped doing the sirloin staek because that dish was divine ..loves the Wai Wai”

“This is a great Chinese takeaway. For me, it is the best in the Vale of Glamorgan. I have tried many, but for me, you get great service and excellent size portions. Their chips are without doubt the best and again a great size portion. The food is always cooked fresh and we have never had reason to complain about anything there. The only slight issue for some people is that it is cash only, which to me is good business sense”

“My family and I were looking for a perfect birthday place for me and we came across this Korean barbecue, we never tried Korean food so this was new to us, but this restaurant filled all our expectations and more! This place was beautiful, it was traditional and amazing, the server lady was so nice as well as the other servers, they were so polite and attentive to us and always made sure we were happy with what we got. Food wise it was delicious, the food was large in portions and seasoned beautifully. Everything was set out neatly and conveniently! 100% would recommend eating here, food, service and the building in itself was and is a 10/10!”

“The best food in the city in all categories. Love the noodles with chicken and egg. Amount of food is huge, I think in the biggest box was nearly 1000g (1kg). And it's great on the next day - I'm sure you're not gonna eat it at once. Perfect food for very reasonable money. Order was always right, never had any problems with getting something different than I ordered so they keep an eye on this. And the stuff is very very friendly. Sometimes I visit them even 3 times a week when I'm busy and have no time to cook at home. And never regret it. Didn't try other door than noodles cause they're so good but I believe everything else is good as this. Will try pizza soon”

Went with a whole gang, and let me tell you, we were all thoroughly satisfied and delighted. The food was not only delicious but delivered the perfect amount of kick that we were looking for. “New Yangs is a buffet place, where you order and eat as much as you can, as long as you don’t waste food. A lot of options, always nice food, quick and polite service. I love the lemon chicken and the crispy duck. Would be shocked to hear that somebody went there and didn’t enjoy their food. Have been many times and will go many more.”

“Dropped by this spot on a whim and was genuinely blown away. I asked if they did focaccia sandwiches and instead of a straight no, he got creative and whipped up something on the spot with their incredible pizza dough. What I ended up with was an improvised sandwich that tasted like it had been on the menu for years. Properly balanced, full of flavour and clearly made with care. Rare to find someone who goes above and beyond like that these days. Will definitely be back for what looks like some amazing pizza.”

Not to mention the refreshing mint tea and Sabah helped us pick the best fresh cakes. Ilyas and Sabah also gave us fresh cream cakes on the house! “The best Asian food in Newport, been to their restaurant in Bristol but so happy to see them have a presence in Newport - recommend the Korean Fried Chicken! Although, word of advice - go their in person as it doesn’t travel well and the reliability of Uber Eats Riders means you won’t get the true experience”

“Best Chinese takeaway I've had. Every dish had so much flavour and so much meat. The Szechuan Pork was delicious and spicy, loved the hunan beef too. Excellent General Tso's Chicken as well as Beef flank soup with noodles. Couldn't fault any of it. Been working our way through the menu for years and not had a bad dish”
