Not to mention the refreshing mint tea and Sabah helped us pick the best fresh cakes. Ilyas and Sabah also gave us fresh cream cakes on the house! “Food was absolutely amazing, everything was full of flavour and cooked perfectly. The steak could be pulled apart with no effort. The desert was also full of flavour. The only downside to all of it was the portion size, I would have loved to have more. The service was quick and the waiters were polite and helpful. I’d definitely go again. The menu was quite small but I think the quality of the food makes up for it. We had 2 soft drinks (pints), 2 mains and a dessert and it came to £60.”

“The best Asian food in Newport, been to their restaurant in Bristol but so happy to see them have a presence in Newport - recommend the Korean Fried Chicken! Although, word of advice - go their in person as it doesn’t travel well and the reliability of Uber Eats Riders means you won’t get the true experience”

“Great little spot with good prices and fresh cooking. I ordered a large cheeseburger meal which included chips and a drink. Bread for the burger was unique inasmuch as it’s actual bread and not the typical additive-filled bun. The patties themselves were freshly-cooked and the charcoal grill was present in the taste. The cheese was a strong American-style slice and the taste was perfect (I’m glad there wasn’t two on the double cheeseburger due to the flavour). The chips were impeccable, due to their freshness and the real vinegar which they use, this is a nice touch which even chip shops don’t bother with nowadays, this provides a great taste. The drinks selection was wide and beyond the usual choices (there were both Monster Energy aswell as reasonably priced milkshakes). I’d definitely recommend due to the freshness, and the fact that other spots nearby charge the same for significantly worse quality.”

From the moment we arrived, Chris was welcoming, friendly, and incredibly attentive without ever being overbearing. He made sure everything was just right, handled our requests perfectly, and checked in at all the right times. “Amazing service. They had set price menu for about £34 you could order anything unlimited for 2 hours. They had regular menu too. We ordered 3 rounds and I was so full. The quality of the food was very good. Their in house wine was good quality one too. I recommend it.”

Was cheaper and faster than going through other delivery apps too. Will 100% order again. Delivery drivers and call handler were very polite and professional. 5 star service. Thank you so much. “Best Chinese takeaway I've had. Every dish had so much flavour and so much meat. The Szechuan Pork was delicious and spicy, loved the hunan beef too. Excellent General Tso's Chicken as well as Beef flank soup with noodles. Couldn't fault any of it. Been working our way through the menu for years and not had a bad dish”

“Giovanni’s on The Hayes is an absolute credit to itself. Absolutely wonderful and would highly recommend to anyone considering going to do so. Beautiful venue, the tables are laid very elegantly. All of the staff are beyond amazing, very attentive, friendly and charming. Food and drink service was lightning fast. We received a very warm welcome and goodbye from all of the staff. The food and cocktails were to die for. Couldn’t recommend more and my fiancee and I can’t wait to visit again :)”
