“I had a wonderful meal and evening at this family-run Italian restaurant. The homemade food was absolutely delicious and the staff were both friendly and attentive. It was very good value for money and there is an option to bring your own wine for a small corkage fee. I'll definitely be returning for another delicious meal!”

We came to celebrate our first anniversary; Jamila was our lovely host who looked after us thoroughly, giving us lovely food and drink recommendations. Service was well paced for us to savour our small plates, we especially enjoyed the potatoes with onion and sage aioli. The devilled eggs and bacala were also fantastic. Lottie has to be one of the best chefs in Cardiff - Thanks guys for a wonderful evening!!!”

“We visited yesterday and I had the poached eggs on sourdough bread. I have to say these poached eggs were the best I have ever tasted in my life. They were cooked to absolute perfection. The yolks were perfect, just the right consistency and totally delicious. I'm not a great fan of the white preferring the yolk, but these whites were delicious too. The addition of the sourdough bread as opposed to ordinary bread added to the taste also. I don't know how your chef made this simple meal so exquisite, but please pass on my compliments to him/her. My husband enjoyed his omelette too. Will be back!”

“My absolute favourite pizza in Cardiff! I've lived in Cardiff since 2011 and have tried many different takeaway pizzas. I can say with absolute certainty that no other place I have tried beats Frankie's. The pizza base is delicious, light and full of flavour, and the topping are high quality, not too much cheese or sauce. The sides, although smaller in quantity than some places, are not greasy, and are so tasty! They clearly put a lot of time into the recipe for the flavouring of the chicken goujons. Really friendly drivers as well. I'll always come back to Frankie's :D”

“Went to Yakitori1 for lunch before Book of Mormon at the Millennium Centre. Really excellent food and service. We had the Robata Nigiri Surf n Turf, the flamed Nigiri special, Dragon roll and Kaarage chicken noodles. All were delicious although we both felt the Surf n Turf Nigiri was nice but didn't warrant the price. Overall paid £90 for the food and two beers. Would definitely go here again when on Cardiff Bay”

“A long way out of town but fairly close to the Cardiff City stadium. And it was worth it. Lovely friendly pub. Loads of real ales. I found some Bombardier again!! It was empty when I walked in but packed an hour later with not enough staff!! Why on earth don't they pay extra staff, organise themselves and get a bumper Boxing day pay out !! After all January won't be busy. It really isn't rocket science. We gave up queuing in the end and went to the Stadium. They really are missing a trick with 3k away fans....considering it is such a lovely unique place...”

“Wow, I paid £9.00 for a super recliner. The seats were super comfy and super lush. No more touching elbows with strangers and no more having to move your feet out of the way when people want to get in and out of the aisle. The recliner is controlled by two little silver buttons on the inside of the seat to your right.. You get a little table with a cup holder for your snacks that swings forward to let you in or out and back when you are reclined.. The staff are friendly too and the toilets were clean.”

“Lovely Italian restaurant had the £8.95 pizza and beer or soft drink the pizza was delicious and covered in topping and the chef was very friendly .My husband said it was the best pizza he had every eaten for freshness/topping/authentic tasting and believe me when I say he has eaten hundreds of pizzas”

This level of comfort is what I expect from Wagamama and they nail it, it's not surprising but you expect it when you get there. Like Bambi's mum dying, "oh wow, there it is, she's dead..." just predictable. Nothing wrong with it, just predictable great service and comfort safe food in my opinion.”
