“This is what I would define as a community pub The bar staff were very attentive.. beer good and a good selection of drinks. A huge bonus is the Chinese kitchen inside. The food was perfect, I would recommend booking ahead as I dint think there is dedicated dining area. Food is cash only but that can be sorted at the bar,”

“This is a wonderful wee pub. Legit had the best ploughman's I've ever had. Staff are all lovely and friendly and the garden is gorgeous. I'd already eaten the cheese and garlic bread before I took the picture.”

“Beautiful historic pub with great beer. Pub also has a brilliant Latin American restaurant attached. I’ve sampled some of the food on the menu and it’s amazing. Tapas is spot on. Burgers are huge. I’ve stopped here for work and the rooms are nice and simplistic. Whenever I’m in town for work this is my go to stop. The staff and super friendly and welcoming. Also they have the best Guinness in the area and even do a clover when pouring it. (Unheard of these days) sadly I’ve never been on time to try breakfast but smells amazing and I’ve heard good things. Can only imagine it’s as good as the evening food”

“Had a lovely impromptu stop over and the location off this hotel was ideal located near the motorway but with easy access to the trains into Birmingham centre via the NEC station. Hotel was great and excellent value. The spa had some maintenance issues but going down early morning meant was had it to ourselves. Would definitely stop here again if going to either the NEC or Birmingham.”

“I go there with a good friend and I am amazed at the size of the establishment and how accommodating and open to people of different social groups. I have a hesitancy about certain .....clubs.... born in 60s teen in the 70s still al those fears disappeared especially when the owners/management ??? are seen around the community and have made me and others feel welcome. However early days yet, but so far √√√√√√”

“We had our works summer team building event here and the day was an immense success, we could not ask anymore of Darren and his team, they went beyond our expectations and nothing was too much trouble. The day was filled with laughter and enjoyment from bowling, mini golf, pool, and shuffleboard, I found it hard to tear everyone away to get to our next venue for the next part of the event. Food was tasty, much better than we have had at other place like this. Splendid work Darren and team, keep up the excellent work you have a fantastic venue.”

“We came for Sunday lunch yesterday and was hugely impressed. The quality and taste was fantastic. What I also liked was the fact you didn't have to pay for extras, it was one set price. Will definitely be coming back. We had the lamb and there was plenty of it :-)”

“Went here for my 50th birthday with my wife and two girls. Staff were wonderful and the food was great. Only dropped one star off the atmosphere as the restaurant was boiling in the unusually hot temperatures, I know it's not normal temps but a few fans may have helped.”

“We went here for pancake day & after initially being a little worried we loved it. When we walked in it was a little tatty, a window was missing, patches in ceiling, and a few dirty plates left out on empty tables. We were a little worried that we weren’t going to enjoy ourselves. But our server showed us to the table and the rest of the resultant and bar was beautifully decorated. We had really really amazing service from our server, considering she seemed to be the only person serving everyone at the time. We ordered 3 lots of pancakes and a chip butty. All of the food was absolutely amazing. We were stuffed! The plate of chips was huge, and the bread lovely! The pancakes were SO soft and fluffy, and such good value for money! There was so much food! The Cath Kidston glasses and mugs were so cute too! The kids really enjoyed the decor and we all had a good laugh at the private toilet party. On the way out I spotted a sign about refreshing some areas so I guess that explains the slightly tired looking entrance. Honestly we had a lovely time and can’t wait to come back. Probably the best pancakes we’ve ever had and the server was just so friendly, she’s a real credit to the place!”

“The Mrs and I went on 14/09/23 at 20:00. Our tickets were checked and we were ushered in by a friendly and welcoming young lady. The place is clean, and well maintained. The seats are very comfortable, the sound amazing and the temperature inside was just right. The toilets were clean. The staff at the snack bar were friendly and helpful. The car park is on the right side of the building. Will definitely be going there again. Highly recommended.”

“Since we have loved here this place has been through a few incarnations but the food and service we received when we went there this weekend was by far the best and one of the most well accomplished Sunday lunches we have had - everyone finished their massive portions (see pictures) The key lime pie was the only odd thing - the strawberry almost completely covered the lime taste but the pie was good without it. 100% recommend”

“Delighted to go the Old Mill for lunch with friends. The welcome was as always warm and friendly. Our waitress was Lois who attended to us so well being friendly and very helpful. She paid do much attention to us and always had a smile on her face. The meal was as usual delicious and well presented. I love the Old Mill for its great menu and friendly atmosphere. “A wonderful pub in the shadow of Kenilworth Castle that serves huge plates of excellent pub grub for very reasonable prices. Friendly efficient staff and lovely real ale. Do go there if you're in the area. Probably best to book to ensure a table as it was almost full when we were there.”

“Went here yesterday 18th dec for some hot drinks before panto at the priory theatre. 5 adults 2 teens and a 6 year old. The man serving us (didn’t catch his name) couldn’t be more accommodating, very friendly and helpful and enthusiastic he took our order, made suggestions on drinks including which size would be best for the little one and then found us a lovely table, the waitress (also didn’t catch her name) young girl was lovely, the vibe felt very welcoming and the hot drinks were really cheap and the hot chocolates had cream and marshmallows which were offered I didn’t have to ask like in most places. Will deffo be back hopefully for food next time”
