Special mention therefore to Matt, an RFD with immense knowledge, whose friendly patience and unwavering support cannot be too highly commended. Always willing to help me, demonstrate the guns and go the extra mile. Also ably assisted by Jonti in the shop; an equally friendly font of knowledge and a great shotgun instructor. “Rarely leave reviews but I really enjoy this place. They delivery to me usually really fast, it’s always hot. You get so much meat/ decent portions for the price (kebabs in particular) and the quality of the meat doesn’t taste cheap. Only criticism is as follows: Next time you close for a month, please put a date when you reopen on the site as we’ve been waiting with no clue! So glad you’re open again! And perhaps a tad more lettuce on the kebabs, that’s the cheap part anyway :)!”

“My boyfriend and I visited this cafe to study. We sat on the sofa it was very comfortable. I would definitely recommend for studying if you get the appropriate table. The hot chocolate was impeccable. We shared a large Belgium milk hot chocolate and now we are set on visiting Belgium. It was the best hot chocolate I’ve ever had. It wasn’t too sweet and I could have drank the whole drink alone and not feel sick. A perfect balance. We also had the added whipped cream and marshmallows. I think the add on was about £2 which shocked us bc normally add one like that would never cost more then 75p however the marshmallows where such good quality. The staff are lovely too. Definitely visit if you’re craving a hot chocolate.”

A few months ago it came under new ownership (I understand the original owner from years ago) and the food and service although previously good has noticeably improved. I'm in danger of putting on weight as I just want to eat here all the time! Recently had a party and asked them to cater for it. “Stayed here because I was heading to SWB Motorsports, its less than a mile away. The Dun Cow was busy when we stayed, maybe due to Christmas, but more likely because the staff were so friendly, despite being busy. We had evening meals and breakfast - fantastic choice of food, happy to make small changes on the menu to meet your needs, very alert to any allergens. Our room, the Draycote, could accommodate a family if required, had a very clean and enormous shower room and the most gloriously uneven, quirky floor due to the age of the building. The bed was really comfy (I like a firm mattress) which helped me sleep quite soundly, it covered up the only downside (my husband heard the traffic) of being alongside a busy crossroads.”

“Me and my friend use this as our starting point for an evening walk around Draycote. Twice before we've had the genetic fish & chips/batter sausage & chips. Both times have been delicious and the staff very friendly. Last night, decided to go for a change and ordered Kofta from the wall menu. I was given a choice of sauces and asked whether I wanted salad. I went with mint yoghurt and decided against the salad. Kofta was truly delicious. Freshly made to order (which we hadn't grasped at the time, so we were wondering why on earth it was taking so long) Will definitely order it again, but, maybe see if we can call ahead to order next time to alleviate the waiting time. The photo isn't the best as it was dark outside but hopefully you can gauge the portion size. HUGE! Just a word of advice, it would be useful to advise customers at the point of ordering that there is a wait on it as it's cooked to order.”
