“My absolute favourite pizza spot! I come here often and it’s always a great experience. I’ve tried loads from the menu — all delicious — but the Number 8 with added pesto is still my top pick. The garlic bread and burrata tomato salad are amazing too. Marius and the whole team are super friendly. Perfect place for both dining in and takeaway!”

“Been here before and it is a lovely family run cafè. Staff are very helpful and food and coffee are great too. I had a teacake which came with good quality butter and blackcurrant jam. It was like foing back to my childhood for a brief moment!”

“Jimmy’s is a very short walk away from the house for us, so it’s a welcome treat for lunch. Decent selection of sandwiches/burgers and includes specials. Recommend the Yorkshire pudding wrap, it’s messy to eat but super tasty!”

The cafe has such a cosy, warm and welcoming family feel atmosphere that instantly made us feel at home. The service is always impeccable. The owners are friendly, attentive, and go above and beyond to ensure all the customers are satisfied. Now, the food and coffee... simply outstanding! The waffles and pancakes are absolutely out of this world—fluffy, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The coffee was excellent, rich and smooth, and clearly made with care. The breakfast is really good too! Every meal that comes out of the kitchen always looks delicious, with generous portions, high quality and great value for money. “I had a brilliant experience at Pesto at the Axe & Compass. The food was absolutely spot on full of flavour, fresh, and really well presented. The service was just as impressive; the staff were friendly, attentive, and made the whole visit feel welcoming. “Some of the best food you can find in Coventry City Centre. Everytime I visit I try a different meal and they all taste amazing. Spicy Beef and Katsu Chicken are my favourites, but even the pork and fish dishes are brilliant too and all dishes are reasonablypriced. I've not tried the octopus balls yet but it's on my list.”

“First, the atmosphere is brilliant!! They’ve recently done up the interior again, and it looks better than ever. Music is calm and fitting - nothing offensive. Food-wise, i’m never disappointed. The portions are generous and quality is consistent. Theres also some cooked options for those of you not so keen on trying the raw stuff.. Drinks are lovely too. They do a nice white chocolate matcha, but if thats not your thing then i recommend a taro or original milk tea. Cant go wrong really.. Overall i think its a really nice and cosy dining experience. Feels so inviting and homey - especially on such cold or rainy days - and the customer service is top. Perfect for small families, good friends, cute dates, or even on your own.”

“A cozy pizza place with quirky art and many vegetarian options I had a vegetarian meal at this pizza place and I was pleasantly surprised by the variety and quality of food. The restaurant has a cozy and pleasant atmosphere, with quirky and funny art pieces on the walls that made me smile. Firstly, I ordered the chargrilled vegetable pizza, which had peppers, onions, mushrooms, and aubergine on a crispy crust. The pizza was served on a wooden chopping board, which gave it a rustic feel. The onions were nicely caramelized and the cheese was pleasantly strong. Secondly, I ordered the jalapeño poppers, which were cheese-filled peppers coated in breadcrumbs and deep-fried. The jalapeño poppers were crunchy and cheesy, but they were not spicy at all, which I was surprised about. I expected them to have some kick to them. Thirdly, I ordered a mock Pina colada as a drink, which was a change from my usual latte. The mock Pina colada was refreshing and creamy, with a fruity taste of pineapple and coconut. It was definitely a worthy substitution. The service was friendly and fast, and the prices were reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. Overall, I enjoyed my experience at this pizza place and I would recommend it to anyone who loves pizza and quirky art. It’s a great place to have a fun and relaxing meal with friends or family.”

“Stopped by for a late lunch on a Saturday. The menu is easy to read and gives an explanation of each dish. I ordered the LA Galbi with boiled rice, which had a great bulgogi flavour. The meat was leaner than what I find in most restaurants, and because of this, it was not too greasy, which was quite pleasant. The onions underneath the Galbi were a little bit undercooked to my liking but still a compliment to the dish, being quite mild in flavour. The other dish I ordered was the Agedashi Tofu. The sauce was more sour and vinegar based than what I was expecting, but I have never eaten this dish before, so it could just be how it is. The tofu itself was nicely fried and light in texture. The rice and green tea were standard to what you'd expect from a restaurant with 4.5 star reviews. The service was polite and pleasant without being overbearing. I will be visiting again to try other dishes on the menu.”

“Birthday celebration dinner. Amazing pub. Loved the ambiance, busy with a friendly atmosphere. The food was delicious with great menu choice. I had sea bass, cooked to perfection with lots of veg and hasselback potatoes. Everyone enjoyed their choices. Prawn cocktail was really good. Portion sizes just right. Only one of us disappointed, no steak and ale pie. Service was excellent. All food reasonably priced. We'll definitely visit again. Would strongly recommend going here.”

“I liked this for the excellent pizzas we got and how cheap they were! Only a fiver for a Margherita with a choice of veggie toppings. The staff were really friendly and whilst it's very much for students that doesn't rule out families or if you want a quick, simple bite to eat. The beers looked pretty good too, with Brew Dog on offer in cans. I think upstairs is the best location but the basement where we were was fine.”

“I come to this particular branch of Ask Italian fairly regularly and always leave happy so it felt wrong not to have that recognised in a review. Today I came by myself for lunch and I have to say the Lasagne Grande I had was spot on! I was served by Jaden and Maia who were delightful, never skipping a beat and constantly smiling. The atmosphere was also a highlight. Overall a great dining experience! This wasn’t my first time here and it certainly won’t be my last!”

“I visited The Hungry Elephant this evening and had a fantastic experience. The food was bursting with authentic Indian flavours, and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. The naan bread, in particular, was cooked to perfection – soft, warm, and perfectly crisp on the edges. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, creating a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. Nothing was too much trouble – they went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. “Went here yesterday 18th dec for some hot drinks before panto at the priory theatre. 5 adults 2 teens and a 6 year old. The man serving us (didn’t catch his name) couldn’t be more accommodating, very friendly and helpful and enthusiastic he took our order, made suggestions on drinks including which size would be best for the little one and then found us a lovely table, the waitress (also didn’t catch her name) young girl was lovely, the vibe felt very welcoming and the hot drinks were really cheap and the hot chocolates had cream and marshmallows which were offered I didn’t have to ask like in most places. Will deffo be back hopefully for food next time”
