“This pub is a perfect stop of after a walk at Ryton Pools. It has a beer garden, restaurant and bar. We took our dog and so went to the bar. She was made very welcome and even given a treat. We had the lunch specials, the food portions were good and they were great value for money. We all really enjoyed our meals and service was brilliant too.”
“Naked Sunday First time at the Archers venue, what an awesome place to go and gig out. Defo will be going again.”
“Stumbled upon this place by accident and what a hidden gem it is! Great Cask Ales and the food was exceptional. The staff are fantastic and nothings to much trouble. The Ham & Leek pie was perfect and the tall lady behind who served us was a very bubbly person. We will be returning for sunday dinner in a few weeks”
“A brilliant Irish pub, traditional, friendly and full of characters. Love it Chris”
“Smiley efficient service, really really tasty breakfast. Bacon was the highlight Will definitely be back Thanks”
“Lovely restaurant! The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I had the duck parfait to start which was absolutely delicious, followed by the pork belly—perfectly cooked with crispy crackling on the side. There were lots of yummy vegetables too. Overall, I definitely recommend!”
“Very impressed by the range of gluten free menu options, especially the battered fish and chips! Delicious food, really lovely attentive but non-intrusive service and obviously very, very popular. Booking ahead advised... We arrived just before the kitchen opened and they were able to squeeze us in, but next time we'll definitely book in advance!”
“Traditional Black Country Brewery house across the road from the public school. Extremely sociable bar staff will navigate you through the 3 house and 6 guest cask ales if you haven’t done your homework beforehand on the Real Ale Finder App. Additional choice of bottled beers to drink in while you play skittles or takeaway”
“What a classic old school pub where very little has changed decor wise over the years making this a must visit venue. Choice of 3 (obscure to me) cask ales on today. Cold snacks and hot drinks available Check opening times - they tend to vary during the day to avoid disappointment.”
“Closed and moved to new premises, Information purposes only, star rating is only because you can't post anything without selecting stars. I've had takeaway in the past and the food is good, what more can i say”
“I visited the Half Moon for a wedding reception. The food was excellent and offered plenty of choices including vegetarian options. The staff were great and coped well with a very busy pub (as well as the usual Saturday night drinkers there were a lot of thirsty weddings guests). I’d certainly like to go back for a few pints on a regular Saturday.”
“Good service, staff here is excellent!”
“Great little pub very friendly and helpful staff ,good music great selection of beers and most of all a banging breakfast well worth a look”
“Lovely local village pub, warm & welcoming staff. Nice real fire going adding to its charm. Great food & even nice to pop in for a latte. Dog friendly too, what's not to love”
“Very nice traditional pud. Always plenty of people in there. Good selection of beers.”
“What an amazing place. Great staff, warm welcome and sensational light and sound. They also have great bands like Third Alert on.”
“Excellent value, service and quality of food. Just perfect. Will definitely be making this a regular for treat night. Thank you so much. Lorraine Hammonds”
“Great pub, great Guinness and great car wash!”
“We had a really lovely afternoon at the Leif Tea Rooms. We had afternoon tea which was scrumptious. There was a great choice of fillings for the sandwiches which were amazing, plenty of filling! The scones were a delight and the cakes of lemon drizzle, chocolate fudge and victoria sponge were delicious. Very generous portion of everything, couldn't eat it all. But the wonderful staff supplied boxes to take away. We had prosseco which made it more special and were seated by the christmas tree on comfy sofas and chairs. It made our family catch up a special occasion and we would like to say thank you to all the staff who were so nice. Will definitely return, we had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon! Definitely recommended.”
“Had a lovely impromptu stop over and the location off this hotel was ideal located near the motorway but with easy access to the trains into Birmingham centre via the NEC station. Hotel was great and excellent value. The spa had some maintenance issues but going down early morning meant was had it to ourselves. Would definitely stop here again if going to either the NEC or Birmingham.”
“I go there with a good friend and I am amazed at the size of the establishment and how accommodating and open to people of different social groups. I have a hesitancy about certain .....clubs.... born in 60s teen in the 70s still al those fears disappeared especially when the owners/management ??? are seen around the community and have made me and others feel welcome. However early days yet, but so far √√√√√√”
“Gorgeous food, beautiful decor. Chef tweaked my pasta to add some N'duja to it as I love a bit of spice. The dessert was simply stunning! My friend has a pizza which looked delicious. My only complaint, the pasta portion was on the smaller side which would have been fine if it came with salad.”
“We called in twice on a canal boat holiday and were impressed both times - an affable and responsive landlord, immaculately kept beer (St Austell Tribute and TT Landlord) and a good "cook's" menu which gave us burgers, steak, pies or fish and chips when we ate. Dog friendly and right on the canal if gongoozling is your thing! Would unhesitantingly recommend.”
“We went here for pancake day & after initially being a little worried we loved it. When we walked in it was a little tatty, a window was missing, patches in ceiling, and a few dirty plates left out on empty tables. We were a little worried that we weren’t going to enjoy ourselves. But our server showed us to the table and the rest of the resultant and bar was beautifully decorated. We had really really amazing service from our server, considering she seemed to be the only person serving everyone at the time. We ordered 3 lots of pancakes and a chip butty. All of the food was absolutely amazing. We were stuffed! The plate of chips was huge, and the bread lovely! The pancakes were SO soft and fluffy, and such good value for money! There was so much food! The Cath Kidston glasses and mugs were so cute too! The kids really enjoyed the decor and we all had a good laugh at the private toilet party. On the way out I spotted a sign about refreshing some areas so I guess that explains the slightly tired looking entrance. Honestly we had a lovely time and can’t wait to come back. Probably the best pancakes we’ve ever had and the server was just so friendly, she’s a real credit to the place!”
“It was a delightful visit with my partner. We were looked after well, everyone was really smiley and chatty with us. We had a great time during our meal. Great value for the money. We will definetely visit again.”
“I stopped in here for a quick lunch. The food was delicious, the staff were very friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is chilled. I could easily imagine sitting here with a cocktail for the evening.”
“After visiting the one in Birmingham, we were hoping that the service was on par. The Sabai in Leamington delivered, we finished watching a comedy show at the royal spa centre and wanted to grab a bit right after. The location of the restaurant is convenient, there is ample parking nearby which is approximately a 5-10 minute walk especially later in the evening. Toilets taken care of were immaculate. Upon entering we had a warm welcome and were seated immediately as the restaurant wasn't particularly busy. We ordered a Thai green and a musaman curry with some egg fried rice. Both the main dishes had a great flavour and I would definitely recommend going again.”
“Lovely pub, great place to stop on a walk with the dog. Gluten free options, reasonable prices, and a good selection of food. Staff are always nice and helpful. Please do fries instead of chunky chips!”
“I arranged the works Christmas Party here with the marque out the back for 62 people. From start to finish Rohan was brilliant, answered any questions around dietary requirements etc i had quickly and amended the booking on numerous occasions due to people dropping out last min. The marque was set up lovely, the food was great and everyone commented on how big the portions were, nobody went home hungry! A big shout out to all the staff and Rohan they were all really attentive throughout the evening and couldn't fault anyone. Would highly recommend anyone having there Christmas party here!”
“Great local pub. Busy early evening, nice food, good atmosphere. Real fire in the winter. Sunday roasts have mostly been excellent. Very dog friendly so he's happy.”
