“Was in Derby for training. Chose to stay here for 4 nights as price was very reasonable, location suited me and there was secure parking. Stayed in an outbuilding with kitchen and living area on the ground floor, bedroom and bathroom above. accomodation was spotless, internet fast (80mbs download and upload speeds). Giving 5 stars as it was easy to tell the owners and staff take great pride. Little details like a handwritten welcome card, the way the selection of coffee and biscuits was presented and the handbook, that as well as including the house rules and the manuals for the white goods, also gave food and drink venues nearby and brief description of the attractions available including parks. And when i emailed to request a VAT invoice, I had it within 5 minutes. Will stay here again when I next return for training.”

“Being at Abbey Lodge has made my uni experience extremely fun, the staff are one the most or the most helpful and amazing staff i have ever met. They extremely friendly, sociable and willing and ready to help you with whatever you need and they do a wonderful job with it. Honestly i can't praide them anymore 10/10 You even get a free bus pass to university which is about 5-10 minutes away by bus, so a lovely upside”

“We had a great week staying at Willow Barn. A peaceful location at the end of a long single track road. Plenty to do in the area . The house suited our group of 14, with ages from 16 months to over 70 ! The large kitchen table was ample for everyone to eat together ,and the living area, with lovely comfortable sofas, were wonderful to sit on at the end of the day. The beds were comfortable and whilst perhaps the showers were not the most up to date, they were adequate. The kitchen was well equipped with a full range of great saucepans . As we cooked everyday, this was a real bonus. We hired the hot tub for the whole week and it was a real treat to soak in the hot water with a glass of wine chatting and gazing out over the view. Perhaps a line of plants in pots to provide a small degree of privacy between Willow Barn and the next barn would have been appreciated. One huge bonus was the 'Kids cave' from where the children were allowed to chose toys to play with for the whole week. Definitely a real treat for them. We loved the outdoor field, shame we could not get down to the lake, but plenty of other places to explore. We had a wonderful week of family fun.”

“Excellent place to stay at for a couple of day, or even for longer as the place is fully equipped with everything that are necessary in our everydays: washing machine, dishwasher, cooker/hob, fridge freezer, microwave, etc. The building consists of multiple flats that are accessible through stairs only (except the ground floor one which is located opposite the main entrance). Parking available behind the property. There's a small local Sainsbury's within 3-4 minutes of walk from here. The facilities are good/suitable for both families and medium groups: ironing board and iron, wardrobes, bedside chest of drawers, large TV in the open-space kitchen, etc. The whole place is pretty clean and tidy, though there are some areas of the accomodation that would require a little bit of attention: very dusty extractors, broken bin leads or pedals, stained pillow, dusty heaters and heater cables, for example. Since it's a self services property, the access to the building and the majority of things are taken care by the guests so it's recommended to pay attention to the general cleanliness and good state of the facilities where possible. Quiet location, pretty close to the centre both by walk and bus. Recommended.”

“A good clean space to live with little to no disruptions. The apartments are spacious and clean and neighbours are not disruptive. I’d advise not to live in the rooms near the elevators as you will be disrupted by the traffic. The view of the shopping centre is very scenic during the night and the little path pave a way right from your apartment to the shopping centre centre. Rent is between £900 to £1200 depending on the landlord and whether you’d like a single bedroom or two. Parking spaces are an additional fee of £50 a month (which is convenient for the price). Would be better if there were rubbish chutes on each floor. The gym and public space is for residents only. However, the pepperpot restaurant and bar is open to the public (if you like paying £20 for some salmon… and if you’re and avid alcoholic).”
