“I stayed in Derby for 4 days for work and I only wish I’d discovered this place at the beginning of the stay. I’m on a bit of a low carb kick and all I could find in Derby was pizza or fast food. The food here was absolutely delicious and fresh, the Greek salad was perfect with a large chunk of feta on top, the skewers were cooked to perfection. The chap who served me was friendly and very helpful and the restaurant itself was lovely, I opted for takeaway as I was in a rush but I’d definitely sit in there on any future trips”

“Visited on Easter Sunday for a birthday celebration. Only found out about the place online the day before. How have we not been here before? This is a little gem of a restaurant. Although fairly small, and quiet when we arrived late afternoon, the restaurant had a nice feel from the moment we arrived. Service was excellent all the way through even as it got busier, and all our questions about the menu were answered by the manager who obviously took great pride in the restaurant. The food was excellent as we shared 5 tapas between 2 of us, which was more than enough, although we were tempted by dessert. The selection of wines was good, and the Spanish beers were interesting and varied. Overall an excellent meal, and good value when taking into account drinks as well. We’ll be back.”

We asked them to cater for over 30 people, sent them a pre order & asked a time for it all to be delivered. It was all correct & piping hot. We all enjoyed our curries & Pizza's. “Was excited to try The Windmill as it’s under new management. Went for Sunday lunch with my young family. The service and ambience was lovely. The food was superb. Absolutely delicious and great value for money. Huge portions. My Auntie took home a doggie bag and it lasted two more meals. My new favourite Sunday lunch in Derby. “Came her for my lads 19th from a recommendation from a friend. The food was amazing, I had the garlic chicken my fussy kid's opted for the chicken nuggets and chips. There was ten of us in total and the staff were brilliant changing the menu to suit some of the less adventurous. You can bring your alcohol which for me is a massive bonus and price wise You'll get no complaints from me. Big shout out to shed, top man.”

“Visited the Shuropody at Derbion on Sunday with my mum. We were looking for a pair of comfortable non slip sandals for holiday and after very many try ons we found the perfect pair at an amazing price. The shop assistant who served us (Maryam) was an absolute gem! Super polite and patient even though it was a struggle finding what we were looking for. We were very satisfied with the customer service and the product as well. We will be back for shoes/boots in the winter time. Thank you for the excellent service. 5/5 ⭐️ all around”

“My recent dining experience at Donington Manor Hotel was a delightful journey of flavours and ambiance. After the complimentary snacks and amuse bouche I started my culinary adventure, with the crab starter. The presentation was a work of art, a testament to the chef's attention to detail. I was pleased to find that the rump was cooked to perfection, tender and succulent with a beautiful pink centre, whilst the slow cooked lamb shoulder bonbon just melted in your mouth. The portion size was generous without being overwhelming, and the presentation was once again impeccable. The service throughout the meal was impeccable. The staff were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, offering wine pairings and answering any questions I had. The pace of the meal was just right, allowing me to savour each course without feeling rushed. Donington Manor Hotel's restaurant exceeded my expectations with its combination of exceptional cuisine and a charming ambiance. I highly recommend giving it a try. I left the restaurant with a satisfied palate and a desire to return to explore more of their offerings.”
