“Great experience. Kids eat free deal. Good portion sizes. Children had the pasta and ice cream - polished it all off. I went for the double stack. Well cooked burgers and crispy fries. Booth with a view overlooking the water. Top service. All left happy.”
“I watched Beetlejuice and I was impressed. Not just by the film. The cinema is very posh and beautiful and the staff couldn't be more helpful . I also liked the selection of snacks and drinks. The seats were very comfortable and there was the possibility to lift up your legs. The restrooms were spotless . All in all it was a luxurious experience, especially given it's location.”
“First time at the ODEON. Premier seats, very comfortable, loads of room even sofar as not having to move as other people pass in front along the row. Great viewing position. Great cinema experience. Well done ODEON”
“Came in yesterday for the first time and was genuinely blown away by the level of customer service—especially from the young lady with blonde, curly hair. She made our visit feel special from start to finish. There’s a lovely selection of food and drinks, and the overall experience was fantastic. We’ll definitely be back!”
“The staff was lovely. Inside the movie, there was clean toilets and extremely comfortable electric recliners. Cheap and highly recommended.”
“Really friendly staff, good sized screens and rooms. Only thing I noticed was that the audio seemed slightly out of sync on the left and right speakers but was only noticeable during music in the film.”
“Can't recommend The Movie Rooms highly enough. After many years of purchasing AV equipment from this, that and the next person... Once I dealt with Dan, the rest is rest was history.. Very informative and honest about the kit they offer...”
“You into making films, join here”
“Genuinely the best shopping experience I've ever had. Came in for a query about an old amp and how to turn it into a whole setup. I was booked in for a demo the next day with the very knowledgeable, Nathan. He was exactly the right kind of expert for me and was knowledgeable about Hi-Fi and music in general. He had great taste and we compared my records on different set ups. Was a fun hangout talking about speakers and Hi-Fi and what was best for me. Left with a super high quality setup which I'm so happy with. Could not recommend more. Nathan is the man.”
“A cherished independent cinema that retains its original 1930s Art Deco character. With its single screen, classic auditorium, and unique "Moby Dick" whale feature, it offers an authentic, nostalgic film-going experience distinct from modern multiplexes, emphasizing atmosphere and community.”
“Excellent service - handed my GHD straighteners in and an hour later they were ready to collect! Reasonable price and far cheaper than a new set. Very friendly and knowledgeable people. Highly recommend.”
“What a beautiful cinema! Lovingly restored, comfortable seats, great atmosphere and helpful staff...what's not to like? I'll definitely make a return visit.”
“I hope this wonderful space never falls in to the hands of property developers. Fantastic cafe at MF Coffee and a popup arts and crafts shop open at the moment too. Love it and Wilma the dug approves too.”
“2nd visit here for the Wes Anderson double feature and absolutely making it a regular occurrence to see movies here despite me living outside of the city. The ambiance is unmatched, the food options are amazing and allergy inclusive & there’s also a bar where you can order drinks to take into the film with you! Staff are lovely and always helpful.”
“Absolutely stunning cinema with great feel to it. I particularly like that less known movies are also shown. Lovely experience that would have been even better if staff had been a little friendlier. Also, the seats are very large so that even bigger bodied people can fit comfortably. All in all recommend!”
“Lovely place, nice atmosphere. I had a BLT which was delicious however I bought a cake which was clearly past it's best so left most of it after I tried it. This wasn't taken from my bill and the cake wasn't removed from the shelf after I let the girl know. I will definitely be going back regardless of the cake issue.”
“We came across some great old videos we'd long forgotten but when we came to play them, our long-unused old VHS machine wasn't in the best of health. Looking for a refurbished model or repairer, I came across an advert for this Edinburgh company. After a quick exchange of emails describing the problem we delivered it to the shop, where Julian soon had it working again. Moving Pictures is a place well worth knowing about.”
“Comfy sofas, tasty popcorn, great for kids birthday party”
“Shannon is friendly, experienced & does fantastic work. Her ability to reassure dogs is second to none, which means the end result is always excellent. Very pleased. Thanks again.”
“Ive always loved the Pavillion, it was always welcoming as a family run business and even though it's been bought over by Merlin it still has a good vibe”
“Very nice place with a bit of everything, mainly orientated for play and leasure. I spent a good time in family or by myself in the gym. Birthday party for kids are very usual as well. It is clean and has secure car parking although I found the spaces quite narrow and it can get very busy.”
“The best cinema in Edinburgh. This is a large cinema with all kinds of cool screens. Their standards screens are definitely above average in size. Always showing the new films for a good amount of time. Then there’s the only IMAX screen in Edinburgh. 100 feet and so immersive! And lately the new 4DX theatres, really surprised me! The seats shake and rotate like you can’t imagine, but timed very well to the movies. They spray water, smoke and scents. It’s very fun!”
“Fanatic wetherspoons (one of the best I've been in) two lovely upper balcony's with plenty seating areas, looking over the old stage. Great selection of drinks, including local ales Fast friendly service from the staff and the food is pretty decent for a spoons and also if your on a bit of a budget”
“It was a decent enough place for an early lunch. If I hadn't been with my daughter whoes over visiting me I'd not have enjoyed it as much”
“Was absolutly great nice clean and tidy the only thing that let the night down was the araehole and his Mrs who were sat next to us absokutly steaming and talking through the full film apart from that it was great”
“My guy Felix 10 out of 10 cinema hospitality. Was extremely helpful with all of our very complicated requirements and due to a lack of stock provided us with more than sufficient compensation in terms of popcorn and nachos this man was so helpful and eager to progress his own personal development on the tills by figuring out how to do the split payment and our extreme demands and overall very friendly and cool guy he was very open and honest about his experience of dealing with tills and just really took away any grievances we may have over a lack of stock with his overwhelmingly friendly service 100% would recommend give this man a medal and a raise. Well done dude!”
“Always interesting films here including great movies for children.”
“I love the Cameo Picturehouse in Edinburgh. Beautiful cinema and bar. Reasonable prices and really lovely staff. 10/10 for customer experience!”
