There is a great relaxed atmosphere and all the staff were cheerful and helpful. Will be coming back for further haircuts with Jean-Luc, and enjoy some great conversation with him. “The quality of cut and customer service was absolutely brilliant at Sovereign. From the moment I walked in, to the moment I left - the team were incredibly friendly and clearly, high-quality customer service is important here. Troy cut my hair for the first time on this occasion and I was delighted with the results. He took his time to discuss everything with me, and did an amazing job and was really friendly throughout. I was most impressed by how alert the guys were to the small touches that sometimes go amiss at other shops. I will certainly be back and i've already recommended Sovereign to my friends.”

“Perfect stag accommodation. 14 guys in total, mostly from Trinidad, had a great time. Staff super friendly and made sure everything ran smooth providing taxis when needed. 24 hour access, great sound system, pool & football table, and two poles on the stage. What's not to like?!?!”

“I've had it in my mind to buy a shetland jumper for years now, and the opportunity seemed right when I was in Scotland for my honeymoon. Cannot speak highly enough of the products on offer at Dick's, but the people in the shop were tremendous. The woman who helped me was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and attentive. When I said I needed to think about making a big purchase, she was very understanding. I returned to buy it the next day, and we were greeted very warmly. “I had such a great experience here! First of all, all the staff are brilliant! I went to get new glasses and wanted to try contact lenses. Everyone took time to discuss all the options, explain everything to me in detail so that I could understand what was happening. Jay (I don't know how to spell her name) was my optometrist and she was so great! I felt so at ease with her and she didn't give up to find me the right fit for contact lenses! When it came to finding the right glasses the staff took so much time and care to find what suited me and gave me advice, so that I didn't even feel that I needed to bring someone to help me pick glasses. I would highly recommend coming here if you have any questions or if you're nervous about anything, these lovely people will take good care of you!”

Collecting from the store is straight forwarded with the staff at the Murryfield branch in Edinburgh very helpful. I always feel vulnerable with glasses on but everytine I visit he makes it easy for me. He is the reason I keep returning to your store. Sarah make the actual eye exam fly past and is always the first to give you encouragement and keep you right. She is always happy to answer any of my questions too. Vision Express are lucky to employ such wonderful staff.”

“This is an excellent hotel for the price. As soon as we arrived, we were well greeted and given tourist information about the area. The rooms were clean, breakfast was tasty and the price was reasonable for the area. The only negative is the free wifi was terrible or purposely throttled as the hotel wanted guests to pay for the premium wifi. Regardless of the slow internet, we would come back to this hotel on our next stay in Edinburgh.”

“We stayed here for two weeks recently and had a great experience. The location is walkable to the train station and the shops and there are grocery stores nearby. The rooms are clean, well stocked and comfortable . The front desk staff, especially Katherine, are friendly and helpful. This location is approximately 30 min from the airport and a taxi is approximately 35 pound fare. Would definitely stay here again”

“Excellent hotel. We stayed in an executive room after a free upgrade which was dreamy. The rooms were clean and bright, though there's some light staining on some of the carpet. Nothing too bad, probably just needs a refresh. Showers were amazing, and the bed was super comfortable. Staff were all really friendly and helpful. It's about a 5/10 min walk to Victoria Street, so about 10/15 to the Royal Mile. Overall - fantastic for a stay in Edinburgh.”

“We had a great time in Edinburgh, in part thanks to getting a good nights rest and breakfast at this hotel. The staff's very friendly. I'm an extremely light sleeper. Before we've even arrived, Emi went out of her way to place us in a room at the back of the hotel, far away from the lift, which was very much appreciated. We arrived an hour too early, but were able to check in right away. The rooms were clean, as was the whole hotel. It does feel a bit sterile, but it's on brand. Location is great. It's close enough to the city centre that most of the highlights are within walking distance. And the parts that aren't, you can always get by bus, which stops almost next to the hotel. Restaurants, fast food places and express supermarkets are all situated within a five minute walk, as well.”

“Pleas which I shouldn't visit. I went only for batteries and bulbs... LOL and ended with bunch funny Christmas presents ... Including this on the photo. Lady on the till was not showing enthusiasm, that she is blessed and have work. Maybe being only on Job seekers allowance will give her motivation to smile to customers, and not showing disgust for bought items. Please retrain her.”

“Very clean and great rooms. Very comfortable bed. A very nice breakfast but very crowded as well. On the water front, very close to the Britannia ship. Easy to walk along the waterfront and some wonderful restaurants at the pier house. there is a fee for parking with a discount as a hotel guest”

“Hampton by Hilton, Edinburgh Airport This is my second stay at the Hampton by Hilton, and it continues to impress. The hotel is well-appointed, quiet, clean, and the staff is always friendly and attentive. The breakfast is exceptional, offering a great variety of options. Unfortunately, on this particular evening, there was a group of young people in their early 20s on our floor who were slamming doors and being loud and obnoxious. After tolerating the noise for two hours, I decided to call reception. They responded immediately and took swift action to resolve the situation. The night staff handled it efficiently, providing exceptional service. Despite this isolated incident, I highly recommend this hotel for its overall quality and excellent service.”

“Michael our server was a very nice lad, genuinely happy person with great service. Sometimes at TGIs kindness can seem fake, but his was genuine. We had a great time and the food was great, and super filling. We did wait slightly longer for the first drinks to arrive, but this may have been due to the restaurant having lots of people in, for a lunch time, it isn't usually that busy. The staff coped well though. I'd be happy to come back here again.”

“This Residence Inn will forever be in our memory as a place run by dedicated and honest people. Maria runs this place with great leadership. One incident really stood out: We lost a pink water bottle of sentimental value (strongly suspecting it was in the hotel) and didn’t realize it until we were out of town. We contacted the hotel and explained to Maria the situation. She promptly looked into it, contacting the housekeeper immediately and got back to us right away. The housekeeper confirmed that she found it. We asked if the bottle could be shipped to us, and Maria was so helpful giving us all the information we needed to arrange for a shipping company to pick it up from the hotel, etc. We got it in the same great condition it was at when it was lost and couldn’t be happier. Maria’s can-do energy is so refreshing and much appreciated. Maria, thank you for welcoming us when we arrived, for taking the time to explain the hotel details, and for taking immediate action to solve the problem we presented to you after we left. Also, please thank the housekeeper for her conscientiousness, for her honesty, and for her politeness to us when we interacted with her during our stay. We wish you all the best and hope to see you next time we’re in Edinburgh!”

“A great stay. Rooms are a bit small, but completely functional. Otherwise, the hotel was very clean and nicely decorated. The hotel let us check in super early after arriving from a long day of travel, which was very appreciated. About a 10 minute walk from the tram, and an easy 1 mile walk to the centre of Edinburgh.”

“Clean and tidy rooms with tea and coffee making facilities. The room was lacking some storage space apart from a tiny rack with a bit of space above for a few tops. Needs a cupboard or chest of drawers!! Staff friendly and very helpful and it's position in the centre made all of the tourist attractions easily to reach...”

“I had read reviews before booking and was slightly concerned as there were a few negative reviews about staff and location . My experience was fantastic from the moment we arrived as we were recieved by a lovely welcoming receptionist who sorted the booking in an instant and was very sweet and informative. The room was clean and very comfortable and I felt the hotel had a warm atmosphere. My son and I chose to have a meal in the restaurant and were given great service by the bar and waiting staff.Food was really good and the Manageress was excellent running around and ensuring customers were happy and attended to there every need.Top marks to the staff and for the excellent service. I would recommend this hotel .As far as location and complaints about the distance from Edinburgh city centre these people obviously got on the no. 1 bus instead of the 26 which only take 15 /20 minutes to take you into the centre of Edinburgh. No complaints from me and would book again.”

“I love this shop - they’ve got a super range of great brands (especially French and Scandi) that I couldn’t previously find in Edinburgh and are amazing for dopamine dressing with lots of colour and interesting pattern / texture. The ladies who work here are always really nice and welcoming, and give their honest opinions about the look & fit when you’re trying something on. I never feel any pressure to buy anything, and come in far more often for a browse & a chat than actually leaving with a purchase. Such a brilliant Bruntsfield shop - hope it never moves solely online”
