Skidz is the only place I'd trust for anything to do with wheels or tyres, and to me it's well worth the drive across from Dunfermline to be assured of getting the best service for my car. It's not only tyres though; they did a nice job of painting the OEM calipers on my GR86 too. Most recently I had my BOLA FLE wheels (fitted by Skidz last Summer) refurbished from the original Hyper-Black colour to a dazzling 'Monaco Copper', which was kindly imported by Skidz from Prismatic Powder Coatings in the USA at my special request. No extra charges for doing so either - now that's customer service! Looking back the way, they also fitted a Ghost immobiliser to my new Kona N, which was the first in the UK to have one installed at that time; it took a full 2 days mind, so thank goodness for free coffee, a soft sofa and a toilet! No GMO, emulsifiers etc. Just pure not artificially improved food full of fresh herbs, spices and organic toppings. Good wine list. Prices won't brake a bank (by latest standards). This is an incredible coffee spot. They pull the espresso with fantastic precision and they froth the milk perfectly. Breakfast was delicious and varied, and the room was clean, tidy, and comfortable. The area is quiet and pleasant, perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. There is a very good bus connection to the Royal Mile (about 15 minutes), and if you prefer walking, it’s around 30–40 minutes on foot.
