“We have used Fairlie Handyman and Gardening Services on a couple of occasions, the most recent being last month when we had a variety of small but annoying issues around the house which needed attention. The most difficult being a bath tap which wasn’t working due to an issue that wasn’t the tap itself. As the bath is built in and tiled, it meant the removal of tiles to get to the pipe work behind the bath. I didn’t realistically expect it would be possible to do without breaking some tiles but Phil removed all the necessary tiles, fixed the fault, fixed pipe work and the taps far more securely than they were originally, and replaced, re-grouted and sealed the tiles to look better than they did originally! Other difficult jobs were completed with equal skill and patience. Phil is very pleasant to discuss jobs with and also reasonably priced. I have already discussed with him further works to be carried out outside when weather allows. Thoroughly recommend.”

“My wife and I started our “search” for a new kitchen, visiting some local kitchen suppliers, where we felt we were on a conveyor belt, driven by staff who wanted to get our signature on an order with little or no personal touch. I can hand on heart say this isn’t the way that we were treated on our arrival at The Kitchen Station. We were welcomed into the Kitchen Station by MIchael McMillan, first impressions can make or break a deal and Michael was polite and welcoming and someone who I soon learnt was the font of all knowledge, a man who took pride in his work and the company he worked for. Michael wasn’t pushy, it wasn’t a sales technique but more a true understanding of what a customer who had been walked round the block in previous competitor’s stores needed, time, time to view the products available. When we were ready Michael sat down with us and talked us through the process, no hard sales tactics just a genuine overview. We agreed for Michael to come out and measure up, he was at our home when he said he would be, bang on time. My wife and I arranged to go back to the Kitchen Station and between us we designed a kitchen which was from the Nobillia range which would give us the wow factor that we wanted at a price that was up front with no hidden surprises. Throughout our experience Michael’s communication was top notch, if he wasn’t in store, the rest of the team stepped up to the mark and answered any questions I had, it wasn’t a case of this was Michael’s sale and only he could deal with it, all the staff had a vested interest in us as customers. The kitchen delivery date was worked around our fitters and delivered on the date that we wanted it. The delivery team were polite, courteous and careful! No throwing boxes about, every item was delivered with care continuing that customer care that we had been shown throughout our journey. During the fitting we ran into a problem with one of our appliances, I can’t praise the Kitchen Station enough, they went above and beyond for us, they took ownership of the problem, sourcing a new appliance and delivered it to us within a set timescale, something that in all honesty, they could have washed their hands of as we had purchased the original item independently, but they didn’t because I believe that the customer is at the centre of everything they do. The finished kitchen is spectacular and more than what I envisaged , it has certainly given us the wow factor that we craved. I would highly recommend those who are in search of a kitchen, who are tired of all the nonsense that goes along with some competitors to drop on into the Kitchen Station where you’ll find knowledgeable people who want to do their best by the customer to ensure their needs are met by what my wife and I agree is a fantastic product.”

After a lot of research, I had asked for a Viessmann Viodens 100W with a weather compensator to be installed, which from what I gathered speaking with numerous heating engineers, not a standard request. Very few companies in Glasgow were listed on the Viessmann website as certified installers, so I got some quotes together and HomeHeat was the clear winner. Not only did they come back with a reasonable cost, I found them to be very thorough in the initial call and were very helpful in answering some of the specific questions I had to determine what model of the Vitodens range would suit my house (and believe me, I had a lot of questions). The job also included switching from a system boiler to combi boiler, with removal of the large water storage tank in the upstairs cupboard. The guys had everything done in a day and made a really tidy job of everything. Highly recommend and I'll surely have them in for the next thing we need.”
