“Really nice risotto and pizza. Pistachio meringue needs a rethink it was hard and very dry, but lovely staff, free liqueur at end and my salmon risotto was delicious. Wine nicely chilled. 2 courses and bottle wine for 2 was 60 quid so very reasonable.”

“I visited the restaurant on Saturday afternoon with my family, and as the only vegan in the group, my options were initially very limited. However, when I mentioned this to our server, Courtney, she went above and beyond. She spoke with the chef and came back with several options they could prepare specially for me, which I thought was incredibly kind. The chef made a delicious arrabbiata along with garlic bread made with olive oil instead of butter - simple but delicious. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was brilliant. As a vegan, I don’t always expect restaurants to accommodate me, so I was delighted by how thoughtful they were in offering alternatives. I would highly recommend this restaurant for both the food and the wonderful service.”

“Ordered a chicken fried last night and it was delish. Love the inclusion of ham and peas as well which is quite unique but goes really well. Staff are great and came outside the restaurant to hand it to me whilst I was taking a phonecall, much appreciated customer care. This restaurant is a bit of a rutherglen institution, I'd love to see them open again for sit in meals.”
