“Lovely little country pub, great staff and atmosphere, a nice selection of food on offer, the food was gorgeous and the staff couldn’t do enough for us, they do a great pint too! Don’t let previous negative views put you off we had a lovely time. Will certainly be back again!”

“My son Sean and his new wife Laura were married on 11.09.25 at this venue and it was absolutely beautiful. The rooms were beautiful and very clean. The staff were amazing the food was to die for and the overall service we received was just perfect. Big shout out to the following staff although I didn't get any of your names sorry but you will know who you are... the lovely lady that worked on reception booking us all in and my little pal in the bar he could have been called Christian??? Wey aye! And a big shout out and thank you to the lovely lady on the reception who phoned me a taxi the morning after the wedding to take me to the hospital and gave me a packed lunch breakfast in a bag and coffee . It was a god send as i was in the hospital for hours.I had managed to fracture and dislocate my ankle on the bouncy castle lol . Would definitely stay here again thank you ❤️”

“It's really easy to find and they have a multistorey car park right next to it so great for parking. Inside is amazing and the view from our seats was amazing too. Overall would highly recommend going, we will definitely be going again and look forward to it too.”

“William gemmell is a social club with a public bar lounge and sports room for pool and snooker. I found it clean and the staff are friendly and well presented. To the rear of the main building is a large function room for normal weeks entertainment. Also, this room is available for hire and It could easily accommodate 100+ guests. A large stage is also available for music groups etc. A large car park is available to the rear for off road parking and disabled access. All in all, an excellent venue for all your nights entertainment.”

“Newland Steakhouse has quickly become a family favourite! My dad is usually really picky, but both my parents absolutely love it here — which says a lot. I’ve been with friends and family, and every time it’s been incredible. The staff are so welcoming, the food is phenomenal, and the ambience is truly unmatched. You can feel the love and care that’s gone into every detail of this restaurant. A real gem!”

“It was the first time we have done a bottomless brunch and we will definitely be back...it was great. There was 6 of us and from the moment we arrived upto the moment we left, we had great service. All the staff were very friendly and attentive. They were coming round on a regular basis to take our drinks order. All the cocktails we had were really good. Would definitely recommend.”

“Booked a table for 20 with Garbutts for our work anniversary and every meal was lovely. The food came out fast and correct and was cooked to perfection. The menu was creative and everything we ordered was full of flavour and beautifully presented. The industrial-chic setting adds to the charm, making it perfect for both a relaxed meal or a special night out. A special mention to Emme, who made the evening even better with her outstanding service. She was friendly, attentive, and really went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed. It’s always great when the service matches the quality of the food, and Emme absolutely nailed it. Can’t wait to come back, highly recommend!”

“Pave is a popular bar in some former shops, the original tiles from the old butchers shop are still on show. There is an excellent choice of beers lager and cider including some cask conditioned real ales which were in excellent condition when I called in. This modern bar is nicely done out. There is an outside seating area at the front, the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Pave is deservedly listed in The Good Beer Guide. Dog friendly, highly recommended.”

“We absolutely loves our experience Kim and Alice behind the bar were so helpful and accommodating. Our son has autism and its extremely difficult to go out for a meal when he likes things separately and removing things like cheese salad ...making bacon extra crispy . But they were fantastic and really made our meal fit to our families requirements. It didn't seem a bother at all. It's Sunday half term and despite being very busy we were waiting a very short time for our food and it was cooked perfectly. I have a very happy full family tonight and more exciting my boy who hates leaving the house has asked to come again. Just waiting for our puds which have looked amazing as we saw them at other tables. The young fella clearing tables Jaydan was lovely too he checked on us asking if all was OK and if there was anything we needed. He was good at his job and made sure none of us got burnt as he brought out the very hot plates. Brilliant experience will come again.”

Demi and Sheila had the reception at the Venue, the lady who was serving me all day was very good a great laugh and I Really appreciated everything that she done the manager of the pub on such a Fantastic spread the food was 2nd to none atmosphere was fantastic.
