“Attended as a new patient with my son, first thing I noticed the cleanliness of the building, it’s very aesthetically pleasing and the staff at reception were very welcoming. We didn’t wait past our appointment time to be called in and we were seen by a lovely dentist who made both myself and my child very welcome. The dentist worked well with the other staff in the room to make our visit as pleasant as possible. Overall what a lovely experience and what a great service to have locally.”

“The only place you need for burgers and shakes! Angry Angus smash burger was flavoursome with plenty of caramelised onions. Strawberry milkshake was thick and fresh with actual strawberries. The owner doesn’t skimp on ingredients and it shows in the quality of the meals. Golden doughnuts with a choice of sweet toppings rounded off an excellent meal.”

“Jem’s Pit Stop, and Batley, West Yorkshire is an American themed diner. We were driving to Birstall and thought to stop for a a bite in the afternoon and when we were read the tweets but reviews we didn't believe there is place like this in Batley so decided to try it and we weren't disappointed but glad to see it. Look at the photos that will explain it. It took us a long time to explore the place and see the motorbikes and hidden treasures of the place. Then we headed to our table to eat and that was good a very good menu plenty varieties for different diets and people of all ages. The staff, service and quality of food all great.”

“I've been in twice in a row. What a lovely place it is! Lovely food and super nice staff! Will be my go to cafe now when I'm in town. I really appreciate the fact that it has proper salt and pepper grinders! Ihad scrambled egg first time, beautiful! Then a tuna salad sandwich the next day. All great quality ingedients. “Went in on Tuesday 18th March 2025 at 7pm. Ordered 2 fish, 1 chips, peas and a scallop. The fish was fresh as it got fried when we went in. Chips were delicious and the scallops were also quality. One of the best fish shops around.”

“Had a lovely meal at the Pheasant. Food was delicious and served on hot plates. Reasonably priced food, dog and kid friendly. Staff are all very welcoming. The bar tender called Will was brilliant, he was very accommodating and friendly. He couldn't do enough for us, he's an asset to the pub. Would highly recommend.”
