“Staff member Alex was the most helpful young man I've come across in all my years. A truly wonderful experience and he really knew his stuff from cereal to cigarettes. Would recommend 10/10”
“Best ever co-op store. I miss all the staff there. I live somewhere else now and haven't visited in 5 years. Great place!”
“Amazing polish and other European stock lovely staff very helpful very clean shop”
“Cool place, liquor is affordable”
“Decent size Company Shop, compare to say the one in Washington. The fruit and veg is plentiful, and there is a good choice of meat on selection. Booze has a decent shelf life and is also stocked up pretty well. The store is nice and clean, staff are friendly and polite. I just wish this was my local Company Shop.”

“I really like this Tesco store, I use it regularly given its proximity. They occasionally have some nice reduced bits near the fridges and tills. Nice clean store, lovely staff who are always willing to help. They have security, and sanitising things just to the left of door when you enter. Nice atmosphere.”
“The shop was all right, the prices are quite high though. Not necessarily the shops fault, everything is more expensive these days”
“Lots of products and choices and good prices”
“Dave is an amazing employee and I if I had a customer service business I would hire him so fast! The guy is radiating amazing energy - he’ll sing along to Adele, recommend a song, help an elderly lady open her fizzy drink by “ducking while opening”, all at the same time efficiently. I hate when people don’t take their job seriously, but Dave has taken his tasks to a whole another level. Customer service done right. I would’ve returned to Heron foods because of the amazing prices, but Dave changed my return date. I had to show off Dave to my friend. Dave is an absolute legend and Dave is the only reason I returned to this heron foods vs the other, closer, heron foods in leicester. He is an example, inspiration and a mood booster. Dave you are made for great things and if Heron foods don’t value you - don’t stick around. I, a random stranger, believe in you, that leaves you no excuse to not believe in yourself! Thank you Dave for an amazing visit, I hope good things come to you soon!!!”
“great. Cashier lady is very friendly. 2022 May: Vegan Vemondo 'magnum' is available”
“One of the best stores I've ever been to. Particularly surprised by the water section, such a huge selection from different countries - first time I've ever seen that in England. Very cool store, I recommend it”
“Now they've got new self service counters it's less busy. Good vegan options and there's often a impromptu disco in the middle aisles in a Wednesday around 2pm”
“Excellent pricing.. owner very giving.. making sure he's the cheapest in the area”
“Good selection of stuff, so thankful of the self service. Non stressful visit”
“Good price cheap and good staff. Helpful friendly staff.”
“Probably best Lidl in Leicester. Big easy access parking with always spaces. Shop itself clean, stock is well organized and wide alleys make it easy shopping. I wish that one day self checkout was installed.”
“A great location as always, but what I liked the most about this place was the local staff. You really get the vibe that this place is really for the locals. Staff were really friendly and knew people's names. I came to get some lunch and was also pleased to find a cash point inside the store which was very useful.”
“Friendly staff & good stock of essential items.”
“This store is very well stocked and the Staff are very friendly, especially Will... Who is very good and nothing is too much for him. He has been very helpful to me.. Thank you”
“Great place to shop as its open till 11pm”
“An excellent village midlands Co-op where, as always, carrying your membership card really pays off. There is ample parking to the rear and the opening hours are generous. The range of stock is rather limited but it carries more than just the essentials. The staff are quite helpful and polite so you don’t need to use the automated checkouts like some less welcoming places. There are often baked goods on offer, lots of cheeses, a little stationery, and usually fresh flowers outside. They stock a full range of newspapers but their magazine selection is rather downmarket. Sadly, there is only one aisle of fresh food, with far more space given over to alcohol, snacks, confectionary, processed meat and especially pet food. Overall, a vital grocery hub for the village, with reasonable prices IF you carry that card!”
“Mickal on the self checkouts was really helpful and kind. Thank you again for all your help, we really appreciated it.”
“Clean and tidy service area with plenty of new super fast EV chargers, all of which were working. EV chargers are all under cover and there's even a blue badge EV space too with flat access to the charge point/plug (more needed!). The area was well lit after dark so it felt safe as a person travelling alone late at night.”
“I like to walk around this supermarket and pretend that I earn as much money as the average shopper in here. It makes me feel like I've achieved something in life before I leave and go to the Lidl down the road”
“A great place for Asian ingredients and a lot of variety. Covers all household items. They even have a fresh butchers section. Very clean and tidy place.”
“This COOP is not your typical convenience store but more like a supermarket. There is a large variety of goods which include electrical. Also there are in store toilets which include a disabled. The mens were very clean which you don't see enough of nowadays. Parking is excellent with hundreds of spots so no need to worry about parking bumper to bumper, and getting to the store is very easy as it is situated next to major routes.”
“Super smallish Coop that has just had a revamp and super laid out isles and excellent produce. Has two self service tills and two assistant tills. More spacious areas now and better laid out. Staff are friendly and helpful. Very small parking area and parking can be an issue at busy times but parking on the road is available.”
“Customer service, above and beyond. Purchased a bouquet of flowers from the florist counter at around 10am this morning. I cannot thank the lady who helped me enough. Not only was she knowledgeable but was more than happy to help me add additional flowers to the bouquet. When re-wrapping the flowers she was happy to change the wrapping to be more fitting for a funeral. She was extremely friendly and according to the badge on her top ‘new to the team’. The recipient of the flowers loved them and I am extremely grateful for the assistance of this staff member to help put a small smile back on my friends face after losing her mother. Sometimes the little things mean a lot so thank-you.”
